Hotel Indigo Gloucester - The Forum by IHG ★★★★
"We had an awesome time at this hotel. Lovely, modern and friendly staff - Very grateful."
GO2 Gloucester Hotel by OYO ★★★
"Friendly staff especially Anthony and blessing made me and my partner feel welcome and attended to all our requests"
Holiday Inn GLOUCESTER - CHELTENHAM by IHG ★★★★
"Upon our late arrival, we were initially checked into an occupied room. The manager promptly apologized and relocated us to a different room, offering complimentary drinks. He personally assisted with our luggage and later surprised my daughter with a birthday cake, making her special day memorable."
New County Hotel ★★★
"Convenient location. Clean room. Friendly staff. Would stay again."
Holiday Inn Express GLOUCESTER - SOUTH by IHG ★★★
"The room was incredibly hot when we arrived. Temperature was reading 30 degrees in the room. We asked reception they said they couldn't do anything about it as the rooms are not airconditioned. We had really unconfortable night sleep"
Cbh Hatherley Manor Hotel ★★★★
"Hatherley manor is beautiful. The grounds are lovely and the positioning for Cheltenham and Gloucester is perfect. It’s a The AA 4*, and the rooms on their website are lovely and as a package I’m sure it is. However, booking a standard room is the equivalent of a Travelodge and very disappointing. The room I was given when booked through trip wasn’t great. I’ve stayed in Hatherley before and had a glorious room. This one felt like the old working staff quarters. The window was a poor quality double glazed unit that had condensation in between the panes which stopped you being able to look out of it properly. Thankfully, this hid the view of what looked like a static caravan with rubbish on the roof on the internal ‘courtyard’. The window covering was a roller blind you’d find in a shed and did nothing to block out the light in the morning. The kettle and refreshment area looked like an afterthought. The bed was relatively comfortable, but clearly and old spring mattress as I could feel them through the sheets. The pillows were reasonable fibre pillows, but I always travel with a feather pillow as life is too short for rubbish pillows. The hotel itself did seem very quiet when I was there, so I did get a good night sleep, although with the window open you could hear the air conditioning unit situated in the courtyard. Finally, the spa was nice. Clean and all the facilities were working. No robe included in my room, however there were flip flops. I’d consider staying again, but the significant difference between expectation and reality of the classic room had disappointed me. The room was tired and shabby, but the rest of the hotel really is lovely."
The New Inn by Roomsbooked ★★★
"Loved it."
Gloucester Robinswood Hotel by Sunday ★★★★
"It was generally fine, although the water pressure in the shower was not good"
City Centre Guest House ★★★
"The room is very small, with only a simple single bed. There are no facilities in the room, and a shabby small TV."

Rodway Hill Eco Pod Hotel
"What3Words: ///nicely.obey.woods We stayed here for one night and had a lovely time. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional from the moment . The accommodation is clean, quirky, unique, and set in a peaceful location, making it the perfect place to relax. Everyone we met was welcoming, the views were beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. It has a lovely atmosphere. I would 100% recommend staying here if you're looking for something a little different. It's a fabulous place and an experience we'll definitely remember…"
Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel
"A beautiful resort hotel, halfway up the mountain, very quiet, suitable for a weekend getaway if you need to drive by yourself. The room is relatively large and very clean. There is a heater that can be turned on. It can be imagined that it is quite cold in the mountains in the British summer. The breakfast is of high quality. It has everything you need for an English breakfast. It has a rich variety of fruits and a very high value for money."
Linden Tree
"My friend and I stayed 2 nights at the Linden Tree - it was a great experience and we plan to return. We had a really warm welcome from Kate (who looked after us the rest of the evening and the following morning) and Annie, one of the owners, couldn't do enough for us. The food was superb (our steaks were cooked to perfection); the breakfast menu had a good range from waffles and toast & preserves to omelettes and big breakfast cobs - all cooked to order. We had the Full English which was exceptional - fresh sausages and bacon from the local butcher, Nick Brown's; gorgeous sweet, juicy tomatoes-on-the-vine, beautifully-cooked mushrooms - and if you want them, hash browns and black pudding - you can have as much or as little as you want, all included in the very reasonable price of the room. We loved the bar - a proper locals' with quiz nights and darts and a skittle alley, and appreciated the 3 outdoor areas you could sit in. Our 2 ensuite rooms on the first floor were spacious, clean and comfortable. Yes, the place does need some updating but the new owners have already been hard at making improvements and have much planned for the future. We're looking forward to going back!"
Premier Inn Gloucester (Quayside)
"The Manager of the Premier resteraunt is the most Greediest Selfish and uncaring employee who does not negotiate in emergency housing.. I missed breakfast on all 3 times because of my emergency housing reason making the business 32.70 and I asked Anisa politley for a bowl of chips and she didn't care. I wouldn't expect much joy coming to the Premier Inn Restraurant as another employee who was completley unaware that is Anisa's little puppet Beth didn't care either for the matter that I was emergency housed and just holding on to my money.. Thiefs, NO CCTV in the Restaurant and in the Hotel they turn off the air vents with a difficult challenge that the older demographic customer will have no chance of turning on."
The Mooring Post
Edward Hotel
"The room was a bit thin, but there was a microwave and a kettle. I stayed for two nights. The next day, there were new towels and coffee at the door, so that they did not disturb the guests. The hotel is not too far from several attractions in the city center. The train station is also a minute walk. We went to Bath by train in the morning. 𨔼, the train ticket bought a more cost-effective return ticket open ⋯⋯ The only hotel is fine to provide face tissue ."
The Judges Lodgings Boutique Hotel
The Bell Inn
"We visited for two nights and couldn't fault either the accommodation or the food. The room (Cambridge Suite) was spacious and spotlessly clean, possibly a little 'light' on utensils etc if you're planning to self cater, but that's being little critical. The restaurant was rammed (Tuesday evening) and the food was good, a nice piece of Hake and a good portion of belly pork, along with accompanying veg and sauces. The staff were all attentive and friendly, as were the (I presume) locals in the bar. Would definitely recommend. "
