"Hangzhou is absolutely stunning, truly a paradise on Earth. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to all the scenic spots. There are also plenty of dining options right next to the hotel. The lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen at the front desk, as well as the cleaning aunties, were all incredibly warm and welcoming. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit."

The bedding was so comfortable, we had a fantastic night's sleep. Breakfast offered a great variety and tasted delicious, and the gym was well-equipped. "I frequently visit Hangzhou and was looking for a hotel with a good location. I was initially a bit worried the rooms might be old-fashioned. However, upon arriving at the lobby, the front desk staff greeted me warmly, and I was very happy with the room and floor they assigned. The front desk also patiently explained the surrounding area, including convenient dining and shopping options. They were very friendly and helpful with many things. The room layout was standard for a 4-star hotel, nothing out of the ordinary, but it was really clean with no strange odors. It had everything you'd expect: direct drinking water, a smart toilet, and a disinfection cabinet! I felt very comfortable staying in such a room. After a long day, it was great to come back and enjoy a relaxing hot bath!"

"The hotel room was great! It had a smart speaker (Xiaodu) for controlling lights and curtains, and the TV was also very clean. The wireless charging was a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff had excellent service, and the location was super convenient. It's just a 5-6 minute walk to West Lake, and the Hubin Yintai commercial area is right nearby, which is fantastic."

"The service was incredibly attentive; the staff, both the guys and girls, were so friendly, even helping deliver my takeout right to the room. The cleaning ladies were also very warm and polite. This time, they even gave me a free room upgrade and a 1.5-hour late checkout. Just one minor area for improvement: the cleanliness of the laundry room could be better."

"The family room with a kids' slide is a huge plus. The breakfast was also quite varied, though the staff seemed a bit sleepy. The main entrance is incredibly hard to find; even our driver said it's the most difficult to locate around West Lake."

The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to West Lake and right by the lively Hefang Street, making it easy to explore Hangzhou’s food, culture, and historic spots. The hotel has a warm, stylish, nostalgic design that feels both modern and cozy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, with all the essentials provided. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite being in such a busy area—perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to help with directions and recommendations. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and everything felt well-organized. Overall, a great stay and excellent value. I would happily choose Nostalgia S Hotel again the next time I’m in Hangzhou."

"The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from Intime Shopping Mall, and about a ten-minute walk to West Lake. The hotel is surrounded by many shops, making it a lively area. The hotel environment is quite good, clean and tidy, with advanced and complete facilities, and a very spacious room. The staff are very friendly, breakfast is plentiful, and the view is great! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit :)"

"The hotel is well-located, and the service was decent. However, we noticed some black marks on the walls, and there was a fly in the room when we checked in. These issues slightly detracted from our overall experience. On a positive note, my child loved the bathtub, and we enjoyed the view of mountains and a pagoda right across. I hope the rooms will be more thoroughly inspected before the next guest's arrival."

"The lobby, restaurant, and exterior all have a vintage feel. It's fine for a normal stay, but don't set your expectations too high. Sorry, I just can't give it a perfect score. The following is just my personal opinion: I specifically switched to this hotel because I saw its vintage-looking online photos and wanted to take photos in a qipao indoors... But in reality, the restaurant was always unlit when I went in the morning or came back around 7 or 8 PM. Unfortunately, other parts of the mansion aren't as photogenic. The dust ruffle at the foot of the bed in the room was particularly ugly – a high-saturation bright blue with a bedding company's advertisement. It really stood out, and seeing it right as you entered the room felt very insincere. It's supposed to be a themed hotel, yet they can't even get this detail right. They could easily custom-make it in a brown tone, and even an advertisement wouldn't matter then. The hanging plants in the corridor also felt out of place. I suggest putting a small vintage wrought-iron pot over the plastic casing; it wouldn't cost much. If you're a themed hotel, you should really put your heart into it. The room was very cold in winter. The ceiling was quite high, and while the window view was nice, it wasn't warm. Even with the air conditioning at full blast (30 degrees), the room never warmed up. But having a window with a street view did let me experience a 'Republic of China spy' perspective, hahaha."
