I chose the Mercure on Fengqi Road for my trip to Hangzhou, and overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay. It's very close to the subway station, so getting to West Lake and Hubin for shopping was a breeze. The room was meticulously cleaned daily, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The staff, especially Wanwan, were incredibly efficient and responsive whenever I had an issue. The breakfast selection was sufficient to fill me up and was enjoyable. All in all, it offers great value for money, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! There's a bus stop right outside the main entrance, and if you turn left and walk less than 500 meters, you'll hit Southern Song Imperial Street and Hefang Street, which are packed with creative cultural shops and trendy photo spots. The hotel itself has a gorgeous retro decor, very old-money style and super tasteful. Plus, coffee, milk tea, and chrysanthemum tea are all complimentary and free-flowing. They also have an underground parking garage, which is a huge plus if you're driving.

The overall environment was quiet and peaceful, and the facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious. Guest UserThe environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜.
I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful.
It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station.
I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.

Guest UserI brought my family for a relaxing, slow-paced summer trip. We booked two suites and stayed for 6 days, and the experience was truly great. The location is absolutely fantastic! Turn right out of the hotel and you're at the Intime commercial district in just 20 meters. West Lake is only a 5-minute walk away, or you can even cut through Intime, which is perfect on rainy days. During the day, after visiting scenic spots, we could head to the commercial street in the evening for food and drinks – it perfectly suited our rhythm. Although the rooms are a bit dated, the cleanliness and service were excellent. The housekeepers on our floor were so warm and friendly every day, even helping me fold clothes. The 10th-floor observation deck was amazing; we could overlook West Lake without even leaving the hotel. Breakfast was very good, and the dishes changed daily throughout our 6-day stay. The only minor flaw was the somewhat inconvenient placement of cutlery; it should be available in both the front and back sections. Also, there should be bowls where the milk and cereal are. Overall, the experience was great, and I would definitely choose to stay here again.

It's like living in a forest, with acorns constantly falling from the trees. The hotel is very clean, with virtually no mosquitoes. The room facilities are all excellent, especially the toilet flushing, which isn't too loud.
Special praise goes to the hotel staff; their service was exceptionally good from check-in to check-out. They provided afternoon tea with fruit platters, nuts, and tea; offered ginger soup and ice packs if you had a cold; and promptly came to your room to help with any issues.
The hotel only offers vegetarian food. I tried it once, and it was quite good and creative. Compared to the Black Pearl Hotel (averaging 1000 RMB per person), it's definitely not quite as good, but it's much better than other vegetarian restaurants in temples. Every ingredient was very fresh, although there were some issues, like the watermelon in the complimentary fruit platter being sweet and the blueberries being extremely sour. If you don't want vegetarian food, the surrounding farmhouses are a good option, offering fish, chicken, stir-fries, etc. I randomly picked a few and none were bad.
The hotel also arranged various courses, including a healing class and Baduanjin (Eight Pieces of Brocade). Lying in a cabin surrounded by trees and feeling the breeze on a platform by the forest river was a truly therapeutic experience! I stayed for two days and there were still many courses I didn't get to try, so I'll make up for them next time! I'll consider bringing my parents next time.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service. The hotel's location was also great, within walking distance to West Lake. The only downside was the parking situation. I had arranged an airport transfer, but the driver arrived early and couldn't find a place to park and wait, so I had to cancel and take a Didi (ride-sharing service) to the airport instead.
I was originally scheduled to stay for four nights, but due to an urgent matter, I requested an early check-out. They promptly called to confirm and helped me cancel the remaining nights, which I really appreciated.

I was on a last-minute trip to Qiandao Lake and arrived at the hotel quite late. Xiao Dong at the front desk was very patient and provided excellent service. The room was nice, and they upgraded me for free.

Guest UserFront desk staff, Ms. Wang Xiao, kindly upgraded my mother's room for free. The room was spacious and bright, with a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The environment was quiet, ensuring a great night's rest. Breakfast was plentiful, and they even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and family when they visit Hangzhou.

Guest UserOverall, it was better than I expected, and the location is practically unbeatable. Although it's an older hotel, honestly, the facilities aren't too dated, and there wasn't any noticeable musty smell.
**Pros:** The bathroom was a highlight—it's huge! You'd be lucky to get one with a window. The round bathtub was also a big plus. The shower area is spacious too, and the Grohe showerhead made for a really refreshing experience.
The room layout was quite reasonable, and it's clear that many of the furnishings and facilities were top-of-the-line back in the day.
The hotel service was excellent; the quality of service from this established luxury hotel hasn't diminished, and the valet parking service was spot on.
It's quite rare for an older hotel to have delivery robots, which shows they are keeping their facilities updated.
**Cons:** The mattress was too soft—the softest I've ever slept on. Perhaps soft mattresses were popular in the past, but this one offered no support at all.
Also, the toilet flush seemed a bit weak.
The soundproofing of the door seemed a bit lacking; there was even a slight draft. When the next-door room closed their door, ours would vibrate.
Overall, it's a pretty good deal on weekdays and weekends, especially for a hotel in this location. The value for money might not be as good during holidays.
If you appreciate the old-money style of established luxury hotels or enjoy taking baths, this place is perfect. However, if you're looking for modern decor and smart home features, this isn't the right fit.
