GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great, with convenient access to public transportation. The front desk staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room for free. The water and drinks in the room were complimentary, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. It was a really good experience.

GGuest UserMy stay was perfect, nothing to complain. The hotel has its own character, great design and amazing service. The reception staff spotted me getting off Didi and came out to help with my luggage. Heard that the hotel belongs to some prestige university. There was construction opposite my room but doesn’t bother me at all cause I was out during the day and they didn’t work at night so it was quite. They even sent many travel guides through Wechat at check in (first hotel to do this throughout my China trip). Location is next to Hefang street, only 10 mins cycling to West Lake. I loved it huge thanks to the lovely lady who wears glasses that helped me with my luggage 🥰

GGuest UserAn unexpectedly great stay! The room was clean, spacious, and had a fantastic view. It felt so comfortable and relaxing, and even with the window open, it wasn't noisy at all. The robot delivery service for meals was super convenient, but most importantly, the front desk service was excellent – so warm and thoughtful!

GGuest UserThe environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜.
I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful.
It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station.
I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.

GGuaiweidouniuniuA special shout-out to Chef Feifei from the restaurant! He's a really kind and enthusiastic fellow from Henan. He asked about the taste of the dishes during breakfast, and before we left, we ordered takeout to eat in the restaurant. He even kindly brought an extra plate of food and bananas for the kids. The cleaning staff and the front desk attendant were also very responsible. There's even a popular internet-famous restaurant right next to the hotel that we got to try. After dinner, we could walk to West Lake and Intime for a stroll and some shopping. It was a perfect family trip, and we felt so much kindness everywhere. Although, it was quite expensive during the May Day holiday.

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location in Hangzhou's Qianjiang New City, offering convenient access to transportation with a subway station right next door, making getting around incredibly easy. There are also plenty of shopping and dining options nearby, perfect for both leisure and business travelers. The hotel is surrounded by a quiet environment with beautiful scenery, and the Qiantang River view is particularly captivating. The lobby, situated on the 44th floor, provides expansive views, and you can even enjoy a light show at night. The overall design of the environment is novel and unique.

ZZemoZemorIt's like living in a forest, with acorns constantly falling from the trees. The hotel is very clean, with virtually no mosquitoes. The room facilities are all excellent, especially the toilet flushing, which isn't too loud.
Special praise goes to the hotel staff; their service was exceptionally good from check-in to check-out. They provided afternoon tea with fruit platters, nuts, and tea; offered ginger soup and ice packs if you had a cold; and promptly came to your room to help with any issues.
The hotel only offers vegetarian food. I tried it once, and it was quite good and creative. Compared to the Black Pearl Hotel (averaging 1000 RMB per person), it's definitely not quite as good, but it's much better than other vegetarian restaurants in temples. Every ingredient was very fresh, although there were some issues, like the watermelon in the complimentary fruit platter being sweet and the blueberries being extremely sour. If you don't want vegetarian food, the surrounding farmhouses are a good option, offering fish, chicken, stir-fries, etc. I randomly picked a few and none were bad.
The hotel also arranged various courses, including a healing class and Baduanjin (Eight Pieces of Brocade). Lying in a cabin surrounded by trees and feeling the breeze on a platform by the forest river was a truly therapeutic experience! I stayed for two days and there were still many courses I didn't get to try, so I'll make up for them next time! I'll consider bringing my parents next time.

GGuest UserNice, very good! This is my second stay here, and the comfort has definitely improved. Whether it's for getting around, exploring West Lake, or just a good night's sleep, it's excellent overall. My child even said, 'I don't want to go anywhere else, I just want to stay in the room and look at the view!' The window view is truly picturesque. The 10th-floor terrace is perfect for relaxing and taking in the panoramic West Lake scenery. I've told myself, when I don't want to go anywhere else, I'll only choose Xinqiao. When I come to Hangzhou again, it'll be Xinqiao!

GGuest UserOur stay at Landison Longjing Resort Hangzhou was so memorable and absolutely magnificent that highlights remain sharp, vivid, and immensely uplifting. As tea lovers, it would have been lovely enough to be back in deciduous forests with bursting red maples and bright yellow Ginko trees accentuating autumn colors surrounding the beautifully manicured Longjing (Dragon Well) tea plantations that rest quietly within the hills of the peaceful landscape so very close to the resort—next to and just across the street, in fact!
However, our trip’s joys skyrocketed with our stay at the Landison. The staff was totally fantastic! Exceptional service in every way. Working with a phone translator Tracy, Brandy, Wen Yi (I hope his name is spelled correctly!), and Chris provided patient, attentive, and thorough care, concern, and heartwarming attention as they fully considered and answered our many daily questions on where to go, what to do, how to get there and back. (We were thrilled to use the excellent public transportation in and around Hangzhou. The hotel is just meters from the bus stop of two main lines. These buses provided easy connections to other main lines linking us to much of the rest of the city) Staff also guided us where to buy excellent tea, which turned out to be right there at the hotel, as well as from other lovely teashops nearby!
Landison’s breakfast menu, included in our booking, remained the same throughout our stay and never disappointed. Every day we enjoyed a large selection of beautiful, delicious food that included fresh fruit, vegetables, egg dishes of differing styles, rice, dim sum, pastries, and our go-to each day: a piping hot bowl of noodles, prepared to order by the chef standing behind the varied selection of noodles and fixings! There was so much fresh, delicious, interesting, vegetarian cuisine we can’t account for the entire extensive buffet.
The dining staff was totally incredible with their refined, careful, complete attention. Dining Room Manager Xu became our dear, memorable friend, offering us sweet, caring personal attention and comfort throughout our visit. We couldn’t help feeling disappointed when we didn’t see her the day before we were to leave. When we returned to the hotel for the evening and saw her through a dining room window, we popped into the area to say hello and a magical connection manifested that only world travel can provide, when the distance between two vastly different cultures disappears under the glow of human kindness, warmth, and connection. She provided such outstanding delight for us that our hearts hurt when we had to say goodbye to her. When she translated on her mobile phone, “looking forward to seeing you again,” we smiled broadly and added a very hopeful nod in agreement.
Extra lovely perks included nightly delivery of a delicate, nourishing white mushroom soup to keep us warm and help us sleep, a specialty of the establishment. It was tasty and nurturing every day! The housekeeping staff was amiable and friendly, mutually acknowledging and appreciating the human relationship!
In addition, the parking area staff offered cheerful, welcoming, and happy engagement with us throughout our stay.
Our extraordinary stay at the Landison is the kind of experience that highlights the vast benefits of world travel where the barriers of worldly concerns and tensions can fade away or even disappear into the significant and transformative mix and engagement with a time and place different from where we come from or know habitually. Where one realizes that, although time and place may differ considerably and provide many positive catalysts for meaningful change, the human heart and mind are inextricably linked together by way of mutual desires for happiness, well-being, safety, expression, and connection, however that may unfold in its immeasurable arrangements. GGuest UserI would not recommend this hotel, but it is for one very simple reason. They require a 500 rmb deposit when you check in. I had not realized that before making my reservation, and it’s not something I’ve ever had to do at any other hotel in China. It was a bit nerve-wracking to not know if I would actually get my deposit back (through no fault of my own), and I would simply recommend a hotel that does not require this. In the end, I did get the deposit back within an hour of checking out, but the information about it on Trip said that it could take 2-4 weeks.
The hotel is a bit outdated as many other reviews said, but it is clean enough to stay without worries provided you bring slippers or shower shoes. The carpet needs to be deep cleaned, but the beds and bathroom were both clean. They do provide slippers, but they were not in any packaging and were on the floor by the beds. I did not feel comfortable wearing them for this reason. It appears to be what they thought would be a nice touch but in reality causes questions - are the slippers new? clean? Who knows?
The location is quite convenient - just a few minutes from the subway, however it is quite loud. At 7am this morning, there was some very loud nonsense happening outside, and I imagine that this is a common occurrence. In addition, the walls are quite thin.
I requested a non-smoking room, and the room smelled fine, but the hallways stank.
Breakfast is quite extensive - Chinese hot dishes, salad, cereal, a noodle bar, some baked goods, fruit, etc. The donuts were stale and rock hard, but most things were fine. I’m sure most people can find something palatable.
The entrance is a bit difficult to find, so don’t book this hotel if you don’t speak Mandarin. If you do, just call them and they’ll explain how to get in.
5 stars to the maid who caught me on my way out one morning. She hadn’t cleaned my room because I kept the “do not disturb” sign up throughout my stay. She asked about cleaning the room, and I told her not to worry about it. She then asked if she could just take out the trash, so I ran back to the room with her, and she took out my trash and left me two bottles of water and some new slippers.
Speaking of water, be careful. They do have free water in the room, but there are also two 25 rmb bottles of Evian, and you don’t want to grab the wrong one. There were other things for sale in the room, like a bowl of condoms, which really put me off. They should sell those (and the fancy water) at the front desk rather than try to trick people into accidentally using something that isn’t free.
All in all, it was fine, but I wouldn’t stay there again.
