GGuest UserI recently stayed at Wplus Guesthouse in Hangzhou for two nights, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. I just have to share it! First, the location is perfect – it's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to attractions like Hupao Spring and Prince Bay Park. To make getting around easier, they even offer complimentary car service to guests. My room was upgraded to a suite for free, which was incredibly spacious. The decor felt very high-end, and all the amenities were top-notch. The toiletries and bedding were both high-quality, and I slept wonderfully. The service, though, was the real standout! A huge thank you to the two male hosts and the lovely female server; they were all so kind and friendly, always ready to help, and made me feel genuinely welcome. Upon arrival, I received a thoughtful welcome gift with a variety of items. They also provided welcome fruit, drinks, and afternoon tea on the same day, and around 8 PM, there were evening desserts. The most delightful surprise was the evening 'tea around the stove' event on the terrace, with a great selection of snacks – the atmosphere was truly special. The breakfast was also plentiful and exquisite. The guesthouse even offers free laundry service, which is incredibly thoughtful and a huge bonus. And to top it all off, I received a beautiful farewell gift when checking out, another unexpected pleasant surprise. All in all, from the facilities, cleanliness, and service to all the complimentary experiences and gifts, my stay was incredibly satisfying. It truly reflects the owners' meticulous attention to detail and their commitment to high-quality service. I will definitely choose Wplus again on my next trip to Hangzhou and highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserThe rooms are cozy and modern, and the surroundings are beautiful with birds chirping and flowers blooming, giving it an otherworldly feel. It's also home to the drafting site of the 'Fifty-Four Constitution,' a national cultural heritage site. You can use your room card to access the 1913 Restaurant from the courtyard. It's stylishly decorated, featured in the Michelin Guide, and the food is delicious. The restaurant offers stunning views of West Lake and the Bai Causeway from its windows. Breakfast features local Zhejiang delicacies, truly embodying the 'one hundred counties, one thousand dishes' initiative. Stepping out of the courtyard for a stroll, you can turn right to reach Su Xiaoxiao's tomb and enjoy 'Impression West Lake.' To the left, there's the 1929 West Lake Expo Museum and the Hangzhou Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting. Every step reveals a new scenic spot, with countless hidden gems like the former residence of Huang Yuan, a renowned translator and savior of Kunqu opera, and the former residence of Zhang Jingjiang, the governor of Zhejiang during the Republic of China era. There's also the Wangzhuang Hotel with its four rooms, Manao Temple, Baopu Daoist Temple, Zhiguo Zen Temple, Geling Hill, Quanqingju, and more. It's a fantastic place to wander slowly and learn.

GGuest UserPros: Jojo, our butler, provided excellent service, and the travel photography was great – the photographer was very dedicated.
Cons:
1. Breakfast options were limited, and items were frequently missing. The coffee machine was terrible, producing a watery, tasteless drink.
2. The paid activities, especially the boat tour and farm visit, were very poor quality. An older staff member had a bad attitude and kept rushing us, saying other guests were waiting. Including the walk to the vegetable garden, we only spent about 15 minutes picking. For the boat tour, we had to insist just to get a short drift on the lake; initially, they claimed it was too windy to paddle. It was a really frustrating experience.
Overall, apart from the butler, the service from other staff members was very mediocre. I've also seen complaints on social media about their lacking 'soft services.' I'd suggest they learn from Naked Group; I've visited Naked Castle and Naked Retreats several times, and their complimentary services are consistently high-quality, with exceptionally enthusiastic staff.

They proactively contacted me and added me on WeChat even before I arrived, sending over travel guides and recommendations for local food, which was incredibly thoughtful – truly deserving of praise! There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making transportation very convenient. The room was clean, the bedding was soft, and the shower had great water pressure. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, very close to West Lake, and right outside is the Intime commercial area. The hotel's viewing platform is particularly noteworthy; enjoying the beautiful West Lake scenery from it in the morning is incredibly pleasant! The front desk staff are professional and very patient, and the restaurant and housekeeping staff are all very enthusiastic! The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of choices and good quality dishes, with different options each of the two days (fruits, hot dishes, and pastries varied daily). Food replenishment was also very prompt; even though it was crowded during the holiday, there were never any empty platters! (Guest in Room 1512)

Before my stay, I chatted with them to understand what was around the hotel for evening visits and how long it would take to get to Lingyin Temple, and they patiently explained everything. When I left, I forgot my invoice, but after contacting them on WeChat, they promptly helped me get a new one. The overall quality of the front desk staff is excellent. The room was small but perfectly adequate, and I had a very good night's rest. If you're planning to visit Lingyin Temple, the scenic area has traffic restrictions, but there are special shuttle services nearby to take you in. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserOur stay at Landison Longjing Resort Hangzhou was so memorable and absolutely magnificent that highlights remain sharp, vivid, and immensely uplifting. As tea lovers, it would have been lovely enough to be back in deciduous forests with bursting red maples and bright yellow Ginko trees accentuating autumn colors surrounding the beautifully manicured Longjing (Dragon Well) tea plantations that rest quietly within the hills of the peaceful landscape so very close to the resort—next to and just across the street, in fact!
However, our trip’s joys skyrocketed with our stay at the Landison. The staff was totally fantastic! Exceptional service in every way. Working with a phone translator Tracy, Brandy, Wen Yi (I hope his name is spelled correctly!), and Chris provided patient, attentive, and thorough care, concern, and heartwarming attention as they fully considered and answered our many daily questions on where to go, what to do, how to get there and back. (We were thrilled to use the excellent public transportation in and around Hangzhou. The hotel is just meters from the bus stop of two main lines. These buses provided easy connections to other main lines linking us to much of the rest of the city) Staff also guided us where to buy excellent tea, which turned out to be right there at the hotel, as well as from other lovely teashops nearby!
Landison’s breakfast menu, included in our booking, remained the same throughout our stay and never disappointed. Every day we enjoyed a large selection of beautiful, delicious food that included fresh fruit, vegetables, egg dishes of differing styles, rice, dim sum, pastries, and our go-to each day: a piping hot bowl of noodles, prepared to order by the chef standing behind the varied selection of noodles and fixings! There was so much fresh, delicious, interesting, vegetarian cuisine we can’t account for the entire extensive buffet.
The dining staff was totally incredible with their refined, careful, complete attention. Dining Room Manager Xu became our dear, memorable friend, offering us sweet, caring personal attention and comfort throughout our visit. We couldn’t help feeling disappointed when we didn’t see her the day before we were to leave. When we returned to the hotel for the evening and saw her through a dining room window, we popped into the area to say hello and a magical connection manifested that only world travel can provide, when the distance between two vastly different cultures disappears under the glow of human kindness, warmth, and connection. She provided such outstanding delight for us that our hearts hurt when we had to say goodbye to her. When she translated on her mobile phone, “looking forward to seeing you again,” we smiled broadly and added a very hopeful nod in agreement.
Extra lovely perks included nightly delivery of a delicate, nourishing white mushroom soup to keep us warm and help us sleep, a specialty of the establishment. It was tasty and nurturing every day! The housekeeping staff was amiable and friendly, mutually acknowledging and appreciating the human relationship!
In addition, the parking area staff offered cheerful, welcoming, and happy engagement with us throughout our stay.
Our extraordinary stay at the Landison is the kind of experience that highlights the vast benefits of world travel where the barriers of worldly concerns and tensions can fade away or even disappear into the significant and transformative mix and engagement with a time and place different from where we come from or know habitually. Where one realizes that, although time and place may differ considerably and provide many positive catalysts for meaningful change, the human heart and mind are inextricably linked together by way of mutual desires for happiness, well-being, safety, expression, and connection, however that may unfold in its immeasurable arrangements. GGuest UserI originally planned to stay for just one night as I was passing through, but they upgraded me to a high-floor room with a distant view of the Baochu Pagoda. The environment was fantastic, and the large balcony offered stunning views of West Lake. I found the transportation convenient and the service and atmosphere excellent, so I decided to stay an extra night. I'll definitely be back.
