The room was overall very comfortable, impeccably clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent, with attractions like Hupao (Tiger Spring) and Leifeng Pagoda both within easy reach. The front desk staff were also thoughtful enough to recommend great sightseeing routes. The guesthouse features its own private garden, offering a wonderfully relaxing and pleasant environment that the kids absolutely loved. Most importantly, the host provided fresh Hupao spring water and Longjing tea. After a whole day of walking, coming back to brew some tea while listening to the rain outside delivered absolute emotional value and peak relaxation. After we got back, the owner even thoughtfully mailed us two cans of tea leaves, which truly touched us. The host cares about much more than just your stay during the visit. 👍

I've stayed here many times, and the service is always excellent. This time, it was a family trip, and my husband arrived at the hotel first. The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

The room is very upscale with fantastic decor, featuring earth-toned solid wood walls. I booked a king room with a terrace, where you can catch the natural fragrance of various trees and flowers—the environment is simply top-notch. The bed is also high-end, upholstered in leather with a high-enclosure design all around. The drinking water is of great quality, and a variety of juices and soft drinks are provided as well... I really love this sophisticated vibe, and the cleanliness is super impressive.

This hotel used to be an InterContinental (perhaps a benchmark in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region), but after the InterContinental brand pulled out, the owner operated it independently under the name 'Free InterContinental Palace'. After the InterContinental de-branding, the hotel significantly increased its recreational activities, adding tennis courts, sound healing, and more. Among the resort hotels in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area, places like the Xihu State Guest House and Fuchun Resort are quite large, but this hotel's actual scale is even more astonishing. Besides the hotel's own area, the entire Xianshan Peninsula is essentially its public space: in early summer, there are bayberry orchards, and in autumn, the mountains are covered with tangerine trees. You can hike to the top of the back mountain (about 2-3 km), and there's a hidden small 'canyon' in the mountains. If you don't want to dine at the hotel, there's a 'farmhouse restaurant' next door (Xianshan Restaurant). A few hundred meters from the entrance is the lighthouse area, which used to be a pebble beach and has now been converted into a coffee shop/bar. As for the hotel's own hardware, it's roughly on par with the international resort hotels in Yalong Bay around 2010-2012 (Qiandao Lake InterContinental/Hilton/Sheraton all opened around the same time). It's very well-maintained, old but not dilapidated. Compared to the minimalist, trendy new hotels of the past two years, hotels from this period have much more character. Most people come to Qiandao Lake to escape the summer heat, but October-November is when Xianshan Peninsula is at its most beautiful. The tangerines are ripe, the lake water is exceptionally blue on crisp, clear days, and by November, a few ginkgo trees in the hotel turn golden. This hotel also has some special advantages: for example, breakfast is served until 11 AM and includes a dedicated children's dining area. From 9 PM to 11 PM, there's a late-night canteen offering various snacks and instant noodles from all over the world (literally every type of noodle from everywhere!). The concierge team's service is also very attentive and prompt. What can I say? Perfect weather, perfect hotel – 100 out of 10 points! 🥰

Our high-floor mountain view room was upgraded to a low-floor lake view room at the very end of the building, and the view was indeed lovely. The hotel was impeccably clean; it's hard to tell it's over a decade old. The decor is luxurious and tasteful. There were no strange odors in the room. Compared to other five-star hotels I've stayed in, the breakfast here was a bit underwhelming, but all the basic options were available and replenished promptly.

The room has a charming, antique feel with a distinctive incense aroma, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. There's even a calligraphy experience available in the room. The mattress is very comfortable, and everything is clean and hygienic, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was incredibly varied, and the pastries were particularly delicious. I also want to thank the hotel staff for providing me with an extra complimentary breakfast.

Traveling with elderly family members, the hotel is super convenient as it is located right at Exit B of Fengqi Road subway station. Wulin Night Market is just behind the hotel, and walking straight through the market leads directly to the West Lake. Turning left takes you to the musical fountain, and walking straight leads to the Broken Bridge—location is amazing! The buffet breakfast on the 12th floor offers a great variety, and the staff are all warm and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely choose to stay here again next year. Turning right and walking straight leads to Yintai N77, making getting around anywhere very easy. Also, the restaurant terrace is an absolute must-visit spot for taking photos!

I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Hangzhou Thousand Island Lake – it was an unexpectedly wonderful vacation experience! The hotel is nestled by the mountains and the lake, with its cruise ship-like architecture making it easily recognizable. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room, the lake and mountain scenery immediately greets you. Sitting on the balcony, watching the lake and the sunset is incredibly therapeutic. The room is spacious, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the cleanliness is spot-on. The facilities are well-maintained, making for a very reassuring stay. The service is the biggest highlight. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were polite and attentive, responding quickly to any requests. Throughout my stay, I truly felt the professionalism of the IHG brand. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western options. You absolutely must try the Thousand Island Lake fish head at the Chinese restaurant – the broth is creamy white and delicious, and the authentic lake fresh taste is fantastic. The amenities are comprehensive. The 'insta-famous' infinity pool is great for photos, and there's also an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, and a kids' club, making it suitable for both couples and families with children. It's very convenient if you're driving, as the hotel offers free parking. Here, you don't need to rush through an itinerary; simply relaxing at the hotel, enjoying the lake breeze, and escaping the city hustle provides a complete sense of relaxation. The value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Thousand Island Lake, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

I stayed in a mountain view room, and the hotel package I bought was incredibly good value. It included a buffet dinner for two, where we had hairy crabs and lots of seafood – I might have eaten a bit too much, haha. The breakfast buffet was also very generous, with excellent pastries and delicious freshly made 'shou zhua bing' (hand-grabbed pancakes). The beef noodles were good too. Getting around was super convenient, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. I went to Lingyin Temple early in the morning and then to West Lake in the evening – a fantastic experience!

During my recent stay, the front desk staff, Xiao Wang, was incredibly warm and attentive. The check-in and check-out process was efficient and quick, and she was patient and thorough in her communication, answering all our questions with kindness and politeness.
