Hangzhou Hostels

The service was excellent!!! The front desk lady was very considerate and attentive assisting me even before arriving. Later, she promptly helped me on how to get transportation for different sightseeings in Hangzhou, facilitating my stay. The night attendant (a young boy) was also helpful and approachable. The hostel ´s location is just 2-minute walk from a 7-Eleven for essentials and a 5-minute walk from the station. The common area is inviting, with many places to sit and relax, and a water dispenser. Also, the shared dormitory bathroom is very clean. I've enjoyed very much my stay at the hostel :)

Facilities: I was worried about not having enough toilets in a hostel, but this one has communal ones, and you can always ask the front desk if you can't find one, which is very convenient. Regarding the elevator issue I was worried about previously: walk further in, and two elevators go up to the fifth floor. If you come back from a concert late at night, staff can help you scan for entry, or you can add the front desk on WeChat beforehand and find the latest elevator code on their Moments. I noticed from reviews before my stay that the elevator was a common complaint. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: The concert venue is within walking distance. When both the arena and stadium are open simultaneously, the subway gets incredibly crowded. Being able to walk there in about ten minutes is very convenient. Plus, there's a convenience store and restaurants downstairs, so it's great to have hot food and water after a concert when you're starving. I found something no one else mentioned: I'm 170cm tall, which is considered tall for a woman, and the bed was just barely long enough, with my feet touching the wall. I woke up with my knees hurting because my feet were constantly pressed against the wall. Women taller than me should seriously consider this... I don't recall this being an issue in other hostels; there was always a bit of space left.

Close to the station, more convenient

This was the first hostel I stayed at in Hangzhou, and it's located near Wensan Road subway station, making transportation very convenient. It's right by Huanglong Times Square, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. It's also very close to West Lake, and there are lots of shared bikes around. The hostel walls even have tips for exploring West Lake, along with cherished memories left by past guests. As for the accommodations, they offer blackout curtains, complimentary disposable toothbrushes and towels. The bathroom and shower are separated into wet and dry areas, but both are in the same public space for men and women. In the lobby, there's a free water dispenser with 24-hour hot water, and you'll even find cats and dogs hanging out there.

I chose this youth hostel for my job interviews in Hangzhou, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The location is super convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to both the subway station and a snack street, making it easy to get around and find food. They have separate floors for men and women, and there are surveillance cameras in the hallways, so I felt very safe staying alone. Each bed has a blackout curtain, a charging port, and a lockable locker, providing plenty of privacy once the curtain is drawn. The bathroom is a wet/dry separation, with 24-hour hot water, and the room has air conditioning, keeping it cool. The cleaning staff tidies up regularly, so there was no dampness or strange odors. The bedding is changed for every new guest, and the room is well-ventilated and dry, making for a very comfortable stay. The owner is really friendly and patiently helped with directions and luggage storage. The other guests were considerate, keeping quiet at night so as not to disturb anyone's rest. The price is budget-friendly, allowing you to stay cleanly and safely without spending much. It was perfect for resting up after a busy day. It offers great value for money and is ideal for temporary stays while job hunting. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town.

The cleanliness was impeccable; even often-overlooked spots like corners and shelves were spotless. It's super convenient for transport, with taxis, bus stops, and the metro all nearby. The owner was really helpful with all my travel questions, and the price is budget-friendly. Perfect for young solo travelers!

Once you've stayed here, you'll understand the phrase ”choosing a branch to perch on.” (This idiom means finding a good place to settle). The bedding is changed for every guest, and the duvet is soft with a clean, laundry-detergent scent. The shower is separated from the toilet, and the water pressure is great – you don't have to wait for the floor to dry before going in. The smart toilet is a game-changer for a hostel; once you sit down, you won't want to get up. 🎸 In the evening, someone plays guitar in the lobby. If you're chatty, you can gather around; if you don't feel like talking, just cozy up on the sofa and listen to the music – no one will make you feel awkward. 📍 It's a ten-minute walk from West Lake, and right next to a food street, so dining and accommodation are super convenient. Next time I'm in Hangzhou, I'll definitely stay here again.

There's a small snack bar with plenty of snacks and drinks, as well as washing machines and dryers – everything you need for travel. Cleanliness: It's very clean. The cleaning staff are diligent and clean daily, ensuring both the beds and common areas are spotless. You can always see them working hard to provide a clean environment for everyone here. Environment: The overall hotel style is quite appealing and unique. Interactions between guests are very harmonious; everyone drinks and plays games together. It's even more fun than college dorm life and well worth experiencing for anyone who enjoys reminiscing about their university days. Service: The service is exceptional. Both the front desk staff and the cleaning team are incredibly warm and attentive.

Located in the West Lake Scenic Area, close to Tiger Run. The public area is quite large, with a courtyard.

From this hostel you can access the city center by bike, subway or by walking a little bit, but I'd still say that it is still centrally located. It has a large common area that supplies you with water and toiletries and even has a kitchen corner where you can prepare meals. Wifi is good although it needs signing up using a telephone number. However, the staff is happy to help. Has male and female dorms. Nice laundry area, however, the bathrooms, as mentioned by others, need modernization. Staff is nice and helpful.
