"I love the location being close proximity to a subway and Shin Osaka station, so convenient if you are doing a day trip to Kyoto. The area is not as busy as Namba or Tennoji which I like. Streets are wide and pavements are in good condition so no issues carrying your luggages. Also lots of konbini and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is quite new and will stay again next time I visit Osaka."

ZONE SHINSAIBASHI WEST

ZONE SHINSAIBASHI WEST

📍 Kitahorie, 1 Chome−22−20, Nishi Ward, Osaka
★★★ 8.4 (181 reviews)

"The room was quite small, a bit cramped, and somewhat dark. During check-in, there was a 200 yen tax that had to be paid by card during online registration. We only had cash at the time, so it took us a while to complete the process. Thankfully, some kind Japanese guests helped us — they called the staff, guided us, and we managed to exchange money at a convenience store and complete the payment. Overall, it’s acceptable as a budget option, but there are some inconveniences to keep in mind."

Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Osaka Kitahama Hotels in Osaka

Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Osaka Kitahama

"It was new year time and most of the eateries are closed while those near the tourist trap are in operation. Still, it takes about 20 minutes to walk there. Clever businessmen in Osaka will charge all the tourists at a premium, believe me most of the shops you won't want to visit twice given they only offer "friendly" service but food made carelessly. Better set your expectations really really low. Better just grab supermarket food and consume in your room instead."

Hotel Fine Garden Juso Hotels in Osaka

Hotel Fine Garden Juso

"The Hotel is a more traditional style accommodation, where you are basically paying for a room and get a few bonuses thrown in (Ella Bache Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and some other lotions). Whenever you leave the Hotel you're required to hand in your key, which they give you a laminated card to show when you return (most hotels give you a keycard that you take with you during your stay). The reception is available 24/7, but if no-one is at the desk, then you needed to ring the bell, which was responded to promptly and staff were friendly and polite. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee/milk/sugar sachets available, but this was not an option. I really appreciated having access to a washing machine and dryer to be able to wash my clothes that was really cheap to use (¥300 for washing machine, ¥100 per 30 minutes for dryer). One thing that I wasn't quite prepared for was knowing the nature of the area that I was staying in, and the clientele of the Hotel (essentially termed a Love Hotel). Whilst this didn't greatly impact my experience, it did result in some additional noises from accompanying rooms."
