ちなみI've stayed at various Koko hotels many times, and they generally offer good value for money. Hotels around Namba Station in a similar price range are either too old or too far from the subway. This Sennichimae location is excellent! Coming from Kobe on the Hanshin Electric Railway, exit at the west exit. You'll come up into the 'Walk' underground mall. Walk along the right side of the underground mall and look for exit B30 (pictured in photo five). Next to it is a small cafe with a bear painted on the wall 🐻. After climbing the stairs, you'll see a 7-Eleven, and right next door is the hotel. (Be aware that several exits in this area are all stairs, I didn't see any with elevators, so if you have large luggage, it might be a bit strenuous). The room size is relatively small. You can open one 26-inch suitcase, but two would probably be difficult! The hotel is quite new, and toiletries can be picked up from the lobby on the first floor. The hairdryer is still not very good, unfortunately. Check-in was very convenient with a Chinese-speaking staff member. There are plenty of dining options in the shopping street downstairs, as well as general stores and cosmetics shops. Plus, you can walk directly to Namba Station underground, which is really convenient.

XXiaoyuerdaguaiguaiThe front desk staff was so friendly, turns out she was from Dalian, Northeast China! Her service was excellent, and she even recommended a fantastic skewers restaurant. Hearing her accent instantly made us feel at home. The location is pretty convenient, with Life Supermarket and Kizuna Market nearby. They allowed us, two adults and two children, to stay in a double room (which other hotels in Japan usually don't permit). There aren't many extra amenities like coffee or water, but it was perfect for us as we just needed a clean place with a good location to sleep for the night, since we were out exploring all day anyway. The only downside is the 10 AM check-out, but it would be fine if you're booking for consecutive nights so you don't have to worry about changing rooms.

AAdam_HKSAR## Hygiene and Service: The hotel has a policy that guests must put out a 'clean my room' sign before 10 AM each day for full housekeeping. Otherwise, only towels and trash bags will be replaced. Even with full cleaning, it's just a basic tidying up; linens and pillowcases are not changed. ## Location: It's a bit far from Osaka JR Station, but you can get there directly via bus #88. There's a convenience store downstairs, but not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. ## Facilities: There's a public bath (which is also open to the public, so it can get very crowded in the evenings). On the first floor, the lobby offers soda, coffee, and an ice machine for guests to use at any time.

JJuexiaodiThe hotel is a 10-minute walk from the subway station and consists of two buildings: the main building and an annex. The rooms aren't huge, but they're a good size for hotels in the same price range. They offer 24-hour hot water, coffee, drinks, and a microwave for heating food, which is great. Free luggage storage is also available. There's a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, so communication was seamless. Breakfast was decent too. The only downside, if I had to pick one, was the constant stream of tour groups. It's also just a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street in Shinsaibashi.

AAnonymous UserComing from Kansai Airport, you do have to transfer a few times on the subway. However, the hotel is very close to Juso Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. Juso Station has a food street, so dining is super convenient! It's not crowded around at night, so sleeping is very, very quiet! There's a convenience store at the intersection, and Don Quijote is just across the main road! There's also Daikoku Drugstore nearby! Although breakfast is simple, it changes a bit every day, which shows a lot of thought. You'll definitely be full and satisfied! The lobby also has vending machines with beer, drinks, and ice cream! All your normal needs can be met here! Personally, I think even though the location is a little out of the way, it makes up for it in value for money, and transferring subways is still very convenient~

CChocoAlisonThe location is very convenient, with JR lines directly to the airport and Expo, Osaka Loop Line and Midosuji Line directly to the city center. There is a large 7-11 and a Café de Cabrera downstairs. A five-minute walk will take you to a super large Life supermarket, which sells sashimi, bento, and cooked food. For breakfast, there are a variety of packaged breads, rice balls, drinks and soups, as well as yogurt pudding and yogurt, but you have to go early, as there will be no choice after 8:30. You can take your breakfast back to your room and eat it without taking it out of the hotel. Free umbrellas are provided when it rains. There is no bottled water in the room, only a kettle. Ice can be picked up on the 8th floor. There is coffee and tea bags available for pick-up in the lobby. The hotel only provides shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and skin care product samples need to be purchased for 500 yen. The hygiene is very good. The auntie cleans the room very carefully. She will put everything away and put it back in place, and help fold clothes. There is only one chair in the 4-person room, it would be better if there were one or two more chairs. After 10pm, you need to swipe your room card to enter the hotel, which is quite safe.

GGuest UserI had a generally decent stay at Welina Premier Hotel Shinsaibashi, with a few strong highlights and some trade-offs to be aware of. Location – Excellent but with a Catch The location is definitely one of the biggest advantages. The hotel is situated right opposite Don Quijote, making it extremely convenient for late-night shopping and quick access to Dotonbori, Namba, and surrounding shopping streets, eateries, and nightlife. Everything is within walking distance, which made getting around very easy. However, the downside of being in such a lively area is the environment. Since the hotel is surrounded by clubs and bars, the streets can be quite dirty, especially in the morning. You may notice trash and unpleasant smells when stepping out. That said, it’s clear that local workers clean up regularly and do their best to maintain the area. Room – Spacious and Functional The room size is larger than average for this price range in Osaka, which was a pleasant surprise. There was enough space to comfortably open two large suitcases. Amenities were provided, including a safe box, kettle, and a small coffee/tea setup. Toiletries are from POLA, a good-quality Japanese brand, although a shower cap was not included. One drawback is the housekeeping policy. Complimentary room cleaning is not available even for a 3-night stay. Fresh towels are provided daily, but if you want your rubbish cleared, you need to leave it outside the room. Service – Basic and Minimal Service here is quite minimal. There are no welcome drinks or complimentary pantry services, although the hotel does offer a breakfast option for ¥1500 (which I did not try). Communication can be a bit challenging, as some staff who are not Japanese also do not speak much English. It may take extra effort to get your message across. Additionally, the level of hospitality felt quite basic—there were no greetings or warm interactions when entering or leaving the hotel, which is quite different from the typical Japanese omotenashi experience, even compared to some more affordable hotels. Overall This hotel is best suited for travelers who prioritize location and space over service. It’s a practical place to rest after a full day out, but if you are looking for warm hospitality or a more refined stay, this may fall short.

DDr. Justin HattThis hotel appears to have recently been purchased by the LiveMax Group and so, it was really challenging trying to find this location when I first arrived because the name on trip.com had changed, but the name on various map applications still referred to the original name. The location itself is pretty much halfway between two metro stations, so it is a little bit of a walk away from a station, which is a bit of a problem when you have luggage, although this can easily be rectified by getting a taxi using Uber or another similar application. One thing to note about the location that might be a concern for some particular guests is that there are a lot of bars and locations nearby, including one neighbouring location, that provide explicit services for more “mature” audiences. Generally speaking, though, there were no issues that came up, particularly with the location itself as it remained generally quiet, and Japan is usually considered a safer location for visiting anyway. Staff at the hotel can speak some English, which is good, and they are very helpful. Their service was great throughout. There is also a breakfast buffet every morning, and they serve a wide variety of foods in this buffet; the only thing you need to watch out for is to make sure that you eat everything that you take because they have a clear sign posted to tell you that they will charge a fee if you waste food unnecessarily. The hotel does have a laundromat below ground level, but I did not see much else for amenities. The hotel offers house cleaning daily, but you must request it at reception before 10 AM; otherwise, they will not service your room. The room itself was small, but I understood this going into the hotel and as a solo traveler, this was reasonable. There is a capsule style washroom in the room, similar to other hotels I have visited in Osaka, with a full toilet with bidet features And a tap that works for the sink and bathtub both. The bathtub, however, was smaller at one end and was more challenging to use, especially for me as someone who is a little bit bigger, although not impossible. The one major issue I had, though, was with the ventilation above the bathtub, which clearly was caked in dust; I was able to clean out the dust myself, but I did require house cleaning immediately after. I did have to request house cleaning a few times during the stay, not solely for the issue of the dust, but also because the towels that were provided were not very thick and so, needed to be replaced more often.
