YYuzhouchaojiwudixiaoUThe hotel is located in the central Umeda area. Before arriving, I saw reviews mentioning that the hotel entrance was hard to find. This time, I booked a private car from Osaka Airport via Ctrip for 560 yuan, and it took 50 minutes. The car drove directly to the hotel's underground parking lot. The entrance from the parking lot to the hotel was small, and the elevators were also small, giving it a less grand appearance.
We took the elevator to the 11th floor for check-in. Stepping out of the elevator, the restaurant was on the right, and check-in was on the left. I have to say, the lobby also looked quite small, but since it's a high-floor lobby, the view was pretty good. We arrived before the check-in time, so we couldn't get our room cards yet, but the staff helped us store our luggage.
Taking the hotel's direct elevator down to the first floor, there's an escalator opposite leading up to the second floor, where you'll find a Lawson convenience store open until 10:30 PM. Walking further down the road, you'll see a connecting bridge that leads directly to the North and South Wings of GRAND FRONT OSAKA (Muji, Samsonite). It also connects to Osaka Station, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100 (Bills), Yodobashi Camera, and Starbucks. From Osaka Station, taking an escalator down to the first basement floor and following the subway passage leads to Daimaru Department Store (Harbs), the Expo souvenir shop, and many shopping streets. On the ground floor, there's also Daikoku Drugstore. The hotel's location is extremely convenient.
The hotel room was 63 square meters, which is considered large in Japan, with a separate living area. Being on the 20th floor offered great views. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and there were two independent rooms with comprehensive toiletries. My only dissatisfaction was with the bed; there's a protruding wooden platform around it, making it easy to sprain your ankle if you're not careful getting in and out. The service was also just average. We were a family of three, and the hotel charged for three people when we booked. I called the front desk for an extra pair of slippers for my child, but they weren't delivered on the first day. It took two more calls on the second day for them to finally arrive. Neither when checking in nor checking out did the hotel have a doorman, so we had to carry our luggage to and from the room ourselves. I didn't feel any service at all. Upon check-in, we received a box of small snacks and a small box of tea. The snacks weren't tasty, and I didn't try the tea so I can't comment on it.
The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the quality was decent. My child enjoyed the Japanese curry rice, which was quite good.
