MMengmengmamaChoosing InterContinental Osaka was hands down the smartest decision I made! The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go! The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it! The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless! When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming! It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!

JJOYING121My friends and I came to Japan for National Day, and we specifically chose to stay in a five-star hotel for a day. This place had good reviews, and it looked like it had a great view directly facing Osaka Castle. When we arrived, it was evening. At the lobby, they took all our luggage. We just had to go upstairs to check in. The staff brought our luggage directly to our room. The front desk needed passports for everyone and a deposit. I heard that credit card refunds can be slow, so I opted for a cash deposit. The accommodation tax was directly deducted the next day. The room was really spacious! And since there were three of us, the hotel set up a third bed by the window. The capsule coffee in the mini-bar was free, but there was a price list for everything else. There was a surprising amount of water in the room. The bathroom was huge, with separate wet and dry areas, and a large bathtub. They provided three bathrobes and even separate spring/summer pajamas in the drawer. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner all smelled lovely. We also made sure to check out the gym. One of my friends woke up early the next day to work out (so dedicated!). You need your room key card to enter the gym. It was very clean, had a good selection of equipment, and even complimentary fruit. The swimming pool seemed to require reservations, and since we didn't bring swimsuits, we didn't go. For breakfast the next day, you just give your room number and then there's a menu to order from, with both Western and Chinese options. I ordered fried eggs with sausage, and my friend had the Japanese set. Other items like bread, pastries, coffee, and yogurt were self-service, but I thought the taste was just average. Oh! One thing I thought was really great was that my friend got her period and stained the bedding. When we checked out, I asked the front desk if there would be a cleaning fee, and they said it was absolutely fine! That was really good. Plus, they even had a Chinese-speaking front desk staff, so communication was seamless.

KKelejiadianlaThe room size is a bit small compared to similar hotels, and the 'Charming View' room type has an open-plan bathroom without any privacy screens. The view is quite nice though, and despite being above a train station, there's hardly any noise. The location is excellent, with direct access to a shopping mall downstairs.

XXiaoxiaoxiaoxiaolaotouThe hotel's location is convenient, about 1km from the commercial center's Daimaru and Hankyu department stores, and around 600m from the subway station. The room facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are enthusiastic. Breakfast is well-organized with orderly queuing, though the variety of dishes is just average.

JJamieeeeeeeeMy husband and I came to Osaka, Japan, for the third leg of our honeymoon shopping trip! We booked a Fantastic Suite at the W, and the location was superb – very close to Dotonbori, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel knew it was our honeymoon and thoughtfully prepared small desserts and a greeting card in our room beforehand. They even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade during check-in, which was absolutely delightful. The suite itself was very spacious, boasting 180-degree corner floor-to-ceiling windows that offered stunning views, whether during the day or at night. The hotel is a striking black building, quite prominent in Osaka, and even the bathrobes were black. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day, and they also provided us with W's special facial masks. Overall, we were extremely satisfied!

YYuzhouchaojiwudixiaoUThe hotel is located in the central Umeda area. Before arriving, I saw reviews mentioning that the hotel entrance was hard to find. This time, I booked a private car from Osaka Airport via Ctrip for 560 yuan, and it took 50 minutes. The car drove directly to the hotel's underground parking lot. The entrance from the parking lot to the hotel was small, and the elevators were also small, giving it a less grand appearance. We took the elevator to the 11th floor for check-in. Stepping out of the elevator, the restaurant was on the right, and check-in was on the left. I have to say, the lobby also looked quite small, but since it's a high-floor lobby, the view was pretty good. We arrived before the check-in time, so we couldn't get our room cards yet, but the staff helped us store our luggage. Taking the hotel's direct elevator down to the first floor, there's an escalator opposite leading up to the second floor, where you'll find a Lawson convenience store open until 10:30 PM. Walking further down the road, you'll see a connecting bridge that leads directly to the North and South Wings of GRAND FRONT OSAKA (Muji, Samsonite). It also connects to Osaka Station, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100 (Bills), Yodobashi Camera, and Starbucks. From Osaka Station, taking an escalator down to the first basement floor and following the subway passage leads to Daimaru Department Store (Harbs), the Expo souvenir shop, and many shopping streets. On the ground floor, there's also Daikoku Drugstore. The hotel's location is extremely convenient. The hotel room was 63 square meters, which is considered large in Japan, with a separate living area. Being on the 20th floor offered great views. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and there were two independent rooms with comprehensive toiletries. My only dissatisfaction was with the bed; there's a protruding wooden platform around it, making it easy to sprain your ankle if you're not careful getting in and out. The service was also just average. We were a family of three, and the hotel charged for three people when we booked. I called the front desk for an extra pair of slippers for my child, but they weren't delivered on the first day. It took two more calls on the second day for them to finally arrive. Neither when checking in nor checking out did the hotel have a doorman, so we had to carry our luggage to and from the room ourselves. I didn't feel any service at all. Upon check-in, we received a box of small snacks and a small box of tea. The snacks weren't tasty, and I didn't try the tea so I can't comment on it. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the quality was decent. My child enjoyed the Japanese curry rice, which was quite good.

LLizzie_8181Excellent location above Osaka Takashimaya, linked to Namba Station directly by lift. Getting to the hotel was abit confusing using google maps until we figured it out. Overall their location makes for ease of shopping & convenient offload the bags in the hotel room. The check in desk was very professional & the bath tub was European size (we booked twin beds). Of the 3 hotels that we booked in Osaka (&Here Namba, Universal Port Vita, Swissotel), Swissotel was the only hotel that could read & execute our consistent requests to push the twin beds together so our toddler could sleep in the middle. Thumbs up for their professionalism. There was also a pair of kid slippers laid out for our kid. There is a friendly hotel bar (free entry, subject to opening hours in afternoon) on level 9 that allows one to play retro video games like Mario & board games etc. Our kid throughly enjoyed their hotel bar games. As Swissôtel is a business hotel, there is no water pitcher in the room & no ice dispenser room. The toilet is a combined one-room facility. However, the rooms are quiet, the water pressure is great & everyone slept really well. Thanks Swissotel

GGuest UserThe room was bigger than I expected, and it was super convenient for getting around. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the subway station if you turn left outside, and there's a big supermarket and a drugstore right next to the station.

GGuest UserWhenever I visit Japan, I always prefer staying at Mitsui hotels; their quality is consistently reliable. The room size is quite spacious; it wasn't cramped even with three of us and two suitcases. It's also very convenient for getting to Umeda and Shinsaibashi, a pleasant 30-minute walk away. If you'd rather not walk, the Yotsubashi and Midosuji lines are nearby, just one stop away. There's a 7-Eleven and a Lawson right downstairs, plus several local eateries in the vicinity offering a wide variety of food. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
