Our trip was perfect. Although it was our first time at Xihu Resort, the entire stay was incredibly comfortable. Now we have a clear idea of what we look for in a hotel: comfort is paramount. For vacations, we prefer resort-style hotels with spacious rooms, a garden, complete basic facilities, and architecture that harmonizes with the local customs, both inside and out. Secondly, the hotel's 'software' is excellent – the staff are friendly, polite, attentive, and proactive. They greet guests, offer directions, help with luggage, and open doors without being asked, so you don't have to worry about basic services at all. A rich breakfast is also a key consideration for us; at resort hotels, we usually dine in and then can return to the room to relax before heading out again. My husband and I travel as a couple; it's a family trip but not with children. To be honest, we avoid parent-child hotels because we fear they might be too noisy. So, I'd suggest Ctrip separate 'family' and 'parent-child' as distinct statistical categories. These are two different types of travelers.

Our stay was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean and felt warm and cozy. The staff were very welcoming and responded promptly to our requests. The surrounding area has all the amenities you could need, making it convenient for getting around, yet it's still quiet and pleasant to live in. Great value for money – we were very satisfied overall and would definitely visit again.

A family of three stayed for a holiday, and the experience was perfect! ✨ The environment was elegant, the room was tidy, and Benson's service was thoughtful and attentive. The stay was very comfortable and suitable for family travel. The dining quality was excellent, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations!

The location is great, not affected by holiday or weekend traffic restrictions. Plus, the hotel provides registered shuttle services, though they can be a bit scarce. We were told we could book one last minute, but since we were checking out early for convenience, they wouldn't respond to requests after checkout, which was a bit sad. The environment is lovely, right in the heart of West Lake, next to 'Orioles Singing in the Willows,' surrounded by lush greenery. The restaurant is also quite convenient. The food's value for money is just okay, but the service is good, and they do charge a service fee. It's convenient if you're traveling with kids, and the West Lake Fish in Vinegar Gravy was pretty good. The kids' club isn't large, but it's not crowded, and younger children really enjoy it. The only downside is that it closes too early. Oh, and there's no swimming pool, which is a bit disappointing. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to West Lake.

I'm so glad I chose the Intercontinental Qiandao Lake, Shilin for this stay. Our two-day hotel trip perfectly met the vacation needs of my entire family, from the youngest to the oldest. The hotel's location and environment are superb. Although it's a bit far from the high-speed rail station, its exclusive spot on the Xianshan Peninsula allowed us to avoid the holiday crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation. We ate all our meals at the hotel for two consecutive days. The Chinese restaurant's flavors were unexpectedly delicious, and the breakfast quality at the all-day Western restaurant was also very high. Ordering noodles and coffee by scanning a QR code was a very thoughtful touch. During our meals, staff members even came to ask about our dining experience and handed out small gifts, making for a great interactive experience. The hotel offers a rich schedule of activities throughout the day, including hiking, sound therapy, and lake tours, so there's never a dull moment. Our butler, Jolie, provided attentive and thoughtful service. She patiently answered all our questions and requests, making it the best service I've ever received at a hotel. Went to Qiandao Lake with a friend. The pre-sale price on Trip.com was actually better than on the app. The hotel environment is excellent, no complaints there. Although the hotel is a bit older, the decor still looks great and isn't outdated at all, even by today's standards. The view from the selected lake-view room was also nice. The only downside is that the island across is quite close, so perhaps the depth of field isn't ideal. However, the service facilities in all other aspects were perfect. For this price, I really can't find anything to complain about. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews 😂. This trip was hosted by Anna Dai, and the overall service was superb. Breakfast was just average; felt like there weren't many options. As a membership member, I received a complimentary preserved vegetable pastry, which was a nice touch. Overall, a very good experience.

The room offers a stunning view right in the middle of the lake. Opening and closing your eyes feels like being immersed in a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. It's very quiet and suitable for both family trips and romantic getaways. The service was excellent, especially Lucy Hu, the Guest Relations Manager, who proactively helped us decorate the room and upgraded our floor. She really pays attention to the guest experience. The hotel gym is beautiful, but it lacks some prominent signs and is a bit hard to find. I suggest improving staff training on giving directions and adding larger signage (the current ones are too small to be seen easily). At check-out, the front desk even gave us a Qiandao Lake refrigerator magnet souvenir, which I absolutely loved – it was a very thoughtful touch.

We stayed here during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and it was indeed quite crowded. However, I highly recommend this hotel for families with children under 7, it's very suitable. The swimming pool also has a dedicated splash area for toddlers, and the kids' play area is perfect for preschoolers, with all the heights just right. The parent-child DIY activities are also geared towards very young children. Moms can participate in sports while their kids are being looked after. Today, I tried aerial yoga, and Coach Maggie was very patient and taught really well. It was a fantastic experience. I strongly recommend it to anyone with good core strength – it's a lot of fun. The tea garden is not within the hotel grounds, so we didn't get to cycle 🚲. If you want to visit, you have to walk about 1 km. Finally, I have to complain about the buffet restaurant. The food selection was really sparse. There were already very few dishes, and if you went late, you had to wait for them to cook each one individually, which was a bit frustrating. The noodles at the dinner buffet were mushy. But it was still better than the buffet restaurant in Anji, haha.

The overall experience exceeded my expectations! The hotel was very clean, the room was neat and tidy, and the details were handled beautifully, making for a very comfortable stay. The accompanying special activities were a delightful surprise, rich in content, interesting, and very engaging. The most memorable was the sound healing experience; the soothing sounds slowly unfolded, and I unknowingly relaxed and drifted off to sleep, letting go of all my fatigue. It was a healing and relaxing short getaway, perfect for those looking to unwind and destress. Definitely worth another visit!

The hotel is right next to West Lake. The lobby is beautiful, and check-in is on the first floor with a great view. Alan, the concierge, proactively helped me change rooms from my original one to a new one. The service was excellent, and he even moved my luggage for me. There's a snack street nearby with a wide variety of food options. Parking is also convenient with an underground parking lot.
