The hotel is located right above Shin-Yokohama JR Station, so parking is quite expensive at 2200 yen per night. The upside is that you can take the elevator directly from B2 where you park to the 10th-floor front desk. The front desk staff's attitude was pretty average, and the check-in process was a bit slow. Check-out was fine though, you just drop your key card in a box. The hotel is very quiet and bright. Even though you can see people dining on the 10th floor, the soundproofing is excellent, making it very peaceful.
Shopping downstairs is incredibly convenient, with stores like Big Camera, Loft, Uniqlo, GU, a bookstore, gift shops, bento stands, and various pastry stalls. Downstairs, you'll find the JR and Shinkansen entrances, as well as the municipal subway.
The hotel is quite large with an old-fashioned yet somewhat luxurious decor. It's a bit far from the subway station, about a 15-minute walk. However, regarding hygiene, on the first night, I found what looked like a bloodstain on the duvet. I was too late and too tired to do anything about it then, so I just went to sleep. But this flaw really didn't align with my impression of Japanese hotels or Hilton. The next day, I left early and didn't have time to mention it to the hotel. When I returned, though, the bloodstain was gone, which suggests they changed the duvet? Is that something to be happy about? Furthermore, this was the only hotel in Japan that charged me a deposit. I checked out very early, and there was no one at the front desk. Luckily, a cleaning lady helped me call a receptionist who came from the lounge to assist me, and she had to go back and forth again to get my deposit for me. I felt bad disturbing the front desk so early. Many hotels now have self-checkout machines, so I'm not sure why this one not only doesn't have one but also charges a deposit, adding an extra step to the process.
It's luxurious and nice
The underground parking lot is convenient
However, the mechanical parking lot is narrow and difficult to park in, which is a problem
Smoking options are also available, which is good
A hotel that makes you want to stay again
Spacious rooms and excellent staff. Highly recommend, especially for its convenient access to/from Haneda Airport. The Keikyu Line takes just 15 minutes to Haneda (fare only 280 JPY/person). The JR line to Shinagawa is also only a 10+ minute ride, making it incredibly easy to get to central Tokyo. Plus, dining and shopping options around the hotel are very convenient.
Location is perfectly located near to NORTH WEST Exit of Yokohama Station. Many restaurants around 2mins walk out of hotel buildings. There were a few eateries below the hotel building too.
Nippon car rental is 3-5mins walk away as well.
Breakfast was bad, it was stated on trip.com as BUFFET, but it is not the case. There is only choice of mains per pax, and the buffet is just some tiny Japanese sides and juices. The restaurant staffs were rude and unlikable. The main course portion is pathetically small, and request for additional food is a straight NO by the rude servers. Even kids who we were told that can enjoy the breakfast free was just allowed to take the side dishes to eat, which were unsuitable for young kids, request for a set of mains / additional cooked sunny sides up for 2.5years old kid were rejected. So i dont understand what they meant when they say kids is non-chargeable for the breakfast. (I would assume if non chargeable means they would have some proper food prepared for young children FOR FREE, instead of asking us to grab side dishes from the counters to feed the kids. Eg of side dishes, pickled radish, tamago egg, pickled enoki, tofu)
Trip.com NEEDS TO EDIT THE POSTING THAT IT IS NOT A BUFFET!
Hotel reception staff is on the other hand friendly, but they have very few english speaking staffs
Location a bit tricky to get to n quite pour of the way.
However the setting of the environment n the view was spectacular. The air was fresh. The Onsen bath were well designed n well maintained.
Just that the me meal offering times were limited
First off, the room was incredibly clean! Housekeeping did a thorough job every day. The front desk staff were warm and patient, and the facilities were very new and well-maintained.
Secondly, the hotel's location is excellent! It's just a few minutes' walk from Yamashita Park and Chinatown, and the Hikawa Maru is also nearby. Yokohama Station and the Red Brick Warehouse are also very close.
Shopping nearby is super convenient! There's a 7-Eleven and a Lawson right downstairs. If you walk towards Chinatown a bit, there's a supermarket. It's also close to Yokohama Station's commercial center, making shopping very easy.
I had requested a non-corner room, but since the hotel had no other rooms available, they upgraded us to a corner room with a sea view and a kitchen. That was a thoughtful gesture. The hotel is conveniently located right above Nihon-odori Station. There's free capsule coffee on the 7th floor. There's a direct bus to Sakuragicho Station, and it's also easy to get to Minato Mirai and Yokohama Station. A 7-minute walk to the Rose Hotel will get you a direct shuttle to Haneda Airport.
View: The room offers a fantastic view, the lake-view room on the 19th floor provides a spacious and comfortable panorama.
Parking: Free! Just navigate to the hotel and drive into the large parking lot you'll see (we circled three times, but the signs are actually very clear). After getting your parking ticket, check in and register it at the front desk. You can then enter and exit as many times as you like, free of charge, which is very convenient. Completely free.
Facilities: Surprisingly dated. Booking this for over 2000 yen during New Year's, it felt like a Japanese budget hotel. Seriously needs an upgrade; it might deter families. Choosing a Japanese-style room would be much better.
Food: Breakfast was great. For other meals, we had to make reservations due to New Year's, so we ended up eating instant noodles (there are many convenience stores nearby).
Activities: During New Year's, there were traditional cultural activities in the lobby, which was a nice experience.

Amazing
KkewinnThis five-star hotel in Yokohama truly redefines luxury with its impeccable details and sophisticated ambiance. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was a delightful surprise, making it my top recommendation for anyone visiting Yokohama—a true hidden gem!
The hotel's location is absolutely superb, nestled in the charming, exotic Yamashita-cho. It's within walking distance of Yokohama Station and close to popular attractions like Minato Mirai 21 and the Red Brick Warehouse. Getting to Chinatown and Sankeien Garden is also incredibly convenient, making it perfect for both sightseeing and business trips. What truly captivated me was its ”East-meets-West” design philosophy. Inspired by Yokohama's port-opening culture, it beautifully blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern Western design. The art installations adorning the lobby and the Samurai-inspired screen headboards in the guest rooms exude a subtle yet refined elegance, allowing you to feel a sense of vintage charm amidst the contemporary surroundings.
RRaine AyanamiA spacious hotel with a unique industrial design. Amenities and night gowns provided. We found the shuttle bus from Kawasaki station quite easily, following the directions on the hotel's website. The area is remote from the hustle and bustle of the city, but there are some combinis and dining spots around, plus restaurants in the hotel itself. Would love to stay there again
KKunmingzi🏔️✨【Hakone Indigo Hotel: A Dreamlike Mountain Retreat】
This was my first stay at Hakone Gōra Indigo, and I was truly rejuvenated by the ambiance. The hotel is nestled in a hot spring resort surrounded by mountains; opening the window reveals layers of greenery and distant clouds and mist, as beautiful as a painting.
The room design is modern yet elegantly Japanese, and the open-air onsen was fantastic. The spring water was smooth and comforting, instantly washing away a day's fatigue. Breakfast was also incredibly impressive, using fresh local ingredients; you could feel the attention to detail even in the bread and juice.
The staff were friendly and attentive, with every greeting feeling warm, making you feel right at home. The overall experience exceeded expectations, and it's worth revisiting, whether you're a couple, a family, or a solo traveler. 💛
The only thing worth mentioning is that the in-room onsen water seemed to be completely diluted; you could even call it a 'fake' onsen. It lacked the typical onsen smell and was essentially just hot water.

WWendaoA wonderful experience at Asante Inn in Hakone
This stay at Asante Inn in Hakone was full of surprises! The Japanese-style garden is full of Japanese Zen, and it is super beautiful to take pictures. The owner is enthusiastic and fluent in English. The African artworks in the store are unique and come from his African experience. The stories are super interesting.
Staying in dorm, you will meet travelers from all over the world. The atmosphere is good, and the price is 1200 yen per night, which is very cost-effective. Breakfast and dinner are about 1200 yen, and they are delicious and authentic. You can also make an appointment for private time to soak in the hot springs, which is private and comfortable. There is also a luggage transportation service at Yumoto Station, which is super considerate. I sincerely recommend coming here to experience a different Hakone trip!

Jjie125The hotel is located near the Red Brick Warehouse, a bit of a distance from both the JR and subway stations, so the location isn't super convenient. However, there's a sightseeing bus stop right outside, so it's not too out of the way. The surrounding area is very pleasant for a stroll. The room was very spacious, and the hotel is well-maintained, much newer and better kept than many hotels in Tokyo. The mini-bar offered a good selection of complimentary drinks (excluding alcoholic ones). I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on the food, but overall, from service and cleanliness to room facilities, it truly lives up to the standards of a five-star hotel.
