Clean and nice hotel but the windows don't open. It was quite stuffy and unbearable. I applied for cancellation at the hotel, but I was told that I couldn't do it even before the cancellation time, so I had no choice but to stay ... I was told that there was a balcony in other rooms. I've been paying more than 18000. I wanted to cancel once and rebuild the room, but it didn't come true. It was a disappointing trip because I paid a lot of money. It is a pity that the cooperation between the hotel and the site is not functioning at all.

We stayed at Hotel Thrive in Kathmandu for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. The biggest highlight of this hotel is its location — it’s tucked away from the busy, noisy streets, yet right in the heart of the lively Thamel area. It felt peaceful while still being close to everything. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean, and the price was very reasonable for what we received. We were so satisfied with our stay that we decided to come back again after our trip to Pokhara. Overall, there’s really nothing to complain about. A great choice if you want comfort, convenience, and a quiet stay in Thamel.

The staff allowed us to check in early after a long overnight train.  Thank you. The hotel is comfortable and perfectly located.  We could walk to the Potala and Jokhang Temple. Dozens of restaurants and cafes were also within walking distance. There was oxygen in the rooms and breakfast staff were very welcoming.  Would stay there again.

Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the service, as well as the food is excellent. The rooms however, are very old and small (we were able to change rooms after bringing this up with reception). The location is in Thamel and getting to nearby attractions is convenient

Absolutely loved our stay at the Everest Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu! This hotel is a gem – beautifully designed in a traditional style, and everything feels brand new and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a great start to the day, with a good variety of options including fresh juices, tea, coffee, fruit, toast, cheese, and delicious pastries. What really set this hotel apart was their excellent tour desk. We booked our trek to Everest Base Camp with them, and it turned out to be the best decision! Not only did they offer us the most competitive price compared to all the other tour agencies we checked, but our guide, Ram Bhandari (who is also a staff member at the hotel), was truly outstanding. He was incredibly helpful, attentive to our safety throughout the entire trek, and ensured we had great accommodations along the way. We can’t recommend Everest Boutique Hotel highly enough – book with them, and you won’t be disappointed!

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide selection of fresh, flavorful options to suit every taste. The housekeeping team maintained everything perfectly throughout my stay. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the excellent Wi-Fi connection, making it ideal for both leisure and work. What truly sets this hotel apart is the level of hospitality. Every team member went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay — from recommending local attractions to assisting with transportation. Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.

Pleasant stay with great location, but bathroom needs improvement We stayed here for a few nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a very good location, just a short walk to the Thamel area, so it was easy to explore without needing taxis. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet had complete selections, with some dishes rotating daily. However, we did encounter an issue with the bathroom floor. The tiles in the bathroom were the same as those in the bedroom area, and as a result, the floor became extremely slippery when wet. My wife even slipped once while taking a shower. It would be much safer if the hotel installed proper bathroom flooring. The toilet spray was also positioned awkwardly on the left side, and the toilet seat felt loose, which affected comfort. Our original king room wasn’t ready at the 2 PM check-in time, but the staff offered us the option to check in immediately with a twin room, which we accepted. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly and very helpful. When my wife requested help to switch the air-conditioner to heater mode, they sent someone right away and even provided an extra portable heater, which we really appreciated. We were granted a late check-out until 2 PM, and because our flight was late at night, we extended the stay until 6:30 PM for an additional USD 30+. This was convenient for us. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with great staff and location. The only major area that needs attention is the bathroom design and safety, which should be improved for better comfort.

Excellent location with many eateries right at doorstep. There is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel and serves excellent and delicious food. There is also a cafe at the lobby The room was superb I slept through the night especially after a long week of trekking The only downside is there is no smart TV and everything on the screen is Chinese. Best part is there is a washing machine at higher floor where guest can washed their dirty hiking laundry. Cleanliness of hotel:8/10
