Margaret River Bed & Breakfast

The landlord Dirk was very patient and friendly, and provided us with great travel advice. The room was truly spotless, well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. The large floor-to-ceiling windows allowed us to wake up to the sound of birds and sunshine in the morning. The wifi in the room was better than in many other hotels. The water used was filtered from the collected rainwater, and we used it very carefully. The breakfast included the landlord's homemade bread, homemade honey and jam, etc., which was very special. There was a lively and friendly dog, which was very cute. Finally, we have to say: When we stayed here at night, we looked up at the vast Milky Way starry sky, and the shock of that moment will remain in our memory for a long time.

Drove down from Perth during our visit to SW Australia. You'll need a car to stay here, although taxi's were available. It's a very popular hotel and we now know why! There aren't many rooms so you'll need to book ahead to get a room, especially if you want a 5 day stay like us. Breakfast was really good, but you need to be prepared to wait for your hot choice if its a busy period. The cold buffet has a lot of tasty, healthy, choices to keep you going. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the young lady who was running the breakfast service. Our bedroom was a little small, but it was very comfortable, and we knew what we had booked (all they had left). There are public lounge areas where you can sit and relax, and they positively encourage you to bring wine from your winery visits. Our favourite winery was Woodlands, and our best 'other activity' was having a coffee tasting at Yahava Koffeeworks. You can walk 15 mins to The River pub which has a very good selection of bar food. Would definitely stay again and the area is now one of our favourites.
Karriview

Just spent a fabulous 4 nights at Karriview Lodge. So peaceful, green and clean. Hosts Richard and Helen go out of their way to make your stay as special as possible. Attention to detail is is evident everywhere. Breakfast and meals were lovely. Chalets so cosy, warm and clean. It was hard to drag myself away from Karriview and venture out, but the drives around the local area were worth it. Beautiful forest, farm, vineyard and sea views surround Gracetown. If you are looking for a little piece of heaven to destress, relax, clear the mind, slow down and appreciate how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful state, then Karriview, Richard, Helen and their staff are the best way to achieve it! Already booked to return for another 4 nights and sorry not sharing the name of the Chalet I stayed in as I want to keep it a secret so it doesn't get too booked up! 😉😁 Thank you Richard and Helen for sharing your little piece of paradise. Can't wait to come back again already!! Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5 Rooms Clean, cosy, warm, has everything you need. Food & drinks Lovely continental breakfast showcasing local woodfired breads, jams, fruit and yoghurt, cereals, and Helens fabulous boiled eggs! Central Avenue Apartments

Having been to Margaret River a few times, this time we wanted to stay somewhere that we didn't have to drive out just to eat or get groceries. So this seemed to be ideal; 1 street away from the main street of Bussel Highway, and within sight of a Coles supermarket. Margaret River is a quiet town, so even with a bus stop right outside our apartment, there were buses waiting there only for about 15 mins each morning and we didn't really hear any engine sounds that bothered us. We went by to have a look-see as we were walking around the town, and fortuitously met the owner, who allowed us to check-in earlier as there wasn't anyone occupying the apartment the night before. Great bonus as we had driven down from Perth and wanted to unpack & rest. We had the end unit so didn't have to share the entrance with other guests. The living & dining areas were really huge, with acres of space for 4 people. Each one of us could have our own space on the sofas or balcony, and gathered at the dining table (which could seat 8) for meals & games. Secured parking in a garage just under the unit was also great, so that we didn't have to depend on street-side parking. Had a great time there and was able to walk to all the places to eat, see & shop in Margaret River! Most convenient place to stay, and also got a discount by booking directly with the apartments instead of through a 3rd party booking site.

Thank you Pam for your delicious egg & ham muffins for breakfast as well as your amazing muffins. Thank you to you and. Rad for being such considerate and generous hosts. We stayed here 30 years and although the property has changed owners since then, it was just as delightful and welcoming and you are both fantastic hosts. The breakfast is not only delicious but also Pam takes dietry requirements - if she is informed beforehand which goes without saying. The rooms are generous in size (we had the King Room), a very comfortable bed and armchairs. A couple of plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery a toaster and water kettle. Everything is there. We stayed for 4 nights as there is so much to do and explore in the area. Once again a big Thank you!

We stayed for just the 1 night on A last minute booking in the middle of school holidays and Lisa still made us feel like family. The room was cozy and the attention to detail was unparalleled. Lisa greeted us at breakfast and her husband Kierans scrambled eggs and muesli were an amazing start to the day. The building has extensive history and so much cozy cottage charm. It was an absolute pleasure and a surprise to stay with Lisa and Kieran and I would 100% recommend to anyone!
