Ibis Saint-Quentin Basilique

Stayed over night to break up a coach journey. Clean, comfortable, good shower, friendly staff, breakfast was good though they struggled a little to keep up. Only one lift - not too good when a coach load arrives. Air conditioning was a bit noisy, but you can open a window.
Trankil'Apparts Centre

Madeline, on Reception, had already noted my email request for a ground floor room (easier with a dog) and was super-friendly and helpful. Our room was a decent size, clean and very comfortable. Parking was on-site and free, and only a short walk to several good eateries.
Ibis Budget Saint-Quentin Centre Gare

The clue is in the name - a budget hotel, which is compact, clean and modern, with basic eating services, absolutely adequate for an overnight stop, with secure private parking. The rooms are designed for compactness. Ours at the back, overlooking the car park, was very clean and surprisingly quiet for an inner-city location. The bed was comfortable. There was no tea/coffee-making facility in the room, but there is a bar and breakfast room next to the reception which served drinks, microwaved simple snacks (lasagne, hachis parmentier, etc, etc) and desserts, all on demand. The staff on arrival and departure were very friendly and attentive, serving us with an evening bite to eat. The car park is accessed through a shuttered doorway at the side of the hotel and costs €6 a night. As an overnight stop, it suited us and our purse very well, whilst still providing all the budget facilities that we needed.
Ibis Styles Saint-Quentin

We arrived Sunday midday this Kyriad hotel is in a good place, easy to find off the A26,if you want to walk to the town centre it's about 30 minutes away.It is very careworn,we had room 122 and the doors had the laminate chipped off,the house keeping is not that great, the corridor leading to the room had splashes of what looked like bleach along the carpet and the stairwell was untidy. Its a shame because with a bit of an upgrade this could be a really comfortable stop over. This is the issue with this chain of hotels,we have stayed at several in France and you go from the excellent hotel in Troyes to the awful hotel in Laon, this seems to be in the middle and is really in need of a refit.
Premiere Classe Saint Quentin

hotel is grubby and smelly, it’s cheap for a reason, wouldn’t even get a shower, lots of truckers use it for cheap stay overs, cigarette burns everywhere, however the bed sheets are very clean and bed comfy, walked to the buffalo grill for a meal and stayed as long as we could so less time in the room. not the sort of hotel you should stay with a family of young kids or babies. Stayed a few years back and nothing has changed, they obviously prefer business from truck drivers
