Yakushima Homestays

I stayed for ２ in October. It was about a 7-minute walk from the airport, so I arrived in the morning, so I had my luggage checked in before check-in, and I was able to leave it until I got on the plane on my way home, so it was very convenient. The airport is close, but the number of planes is small, so it is not noisy. Morning and night ２ It was a meal, but the food was very delicious, the number of items was very large, and the local ingredients were fashionably arranged and I was full. ４ I won't get tired of staying overnight with all the different contents. Everything from jam, dressing and yogurt was handmade by my wife. I was able to ask for a lunch box for a mountain climbing tour and it was delicious. It happened that we were the only customers due to the cancellation of the typhoon, so as soon as we came back, we prepared a bath and it was very comfortable with the friendly owner and wife. The price is reasonable and the room is shared but can be rented out. I was in a room with a toilet so there was no inconvenience. I think it's a very good inn. I would definitely recommend it if you go to Yakushima.

We stayed 7 nights, and chose this guest house based on previous reviews. Probably because of end of year timing, there were no English speaking staff. The guest house was run by a very lovely elderly couple who ensured we were comfortable despite language barriers. This was the main reason for 5-star review. The tatami room was large and comfortable, but always smelt damp on entering. Had a sink in the room which was useful. The bath was just divine everyday after long hikes. We were the only guests for a few days, and realised the walls were quite thin on days with other guests. Most people were considerate of this. Free use of washing machine, dryer 100yen. Breakfast and dinners were great, traditional Japanese style - a must try. Ramen shop to the left of guest house is not on google maps - also a must try (just walk next door). We are a minute drive from large supermarket and yen store, and across from that is an amazing cafe/restaurant with top quality pasta and pizza, plus other fusion dishes. Perfect for a rainy slow day. Hired hiking for 2-days shoes for 1000yen. Very new and clean. They forgot to order our bento lunch boxes, and elderly gentleman was awake at 430am making rice balls for us that he would not charge us for. Very deserving of 5-stars and great to support a local family. Also check out Bless Yakushima in Anbo!

Hotels on Yakushima Island are more expensive. In order to save travel expenses, I will experience a Japanese bed and breakfast for the first time, 3000 yen a day. Let me talk about the advantages first. It is about a 15-minute walk from Miyanoura Port, which can be found on Baidu Maps. The homestay is a three-story building, and the first floor is a fishing gear shop run by the owner. The boss and the lady boss are very nice and will help you plan your trip. I will go to Baigu Yunshui Gorge the next day, and the lady boss also helped me make a lunch & lunch. The B&B is also very close to the Miyanoura bus station. It is very convenient to go to Baigu Yunshui Gorge and Tianshebang Beach recommended by the boss. It saves a lot of money than a taxi. The public bathroom is cleaned very clean, and rarely can catch up with the queue. The downside is that the room is not very soundproof. It is not tatami mats, but a wooden floor with mats. There are small ants. After laying the bed, it does not affect sleep. Because I travel alone and no one pays for the accommodation, in fact, it would be better to book a hotel of 600 or 700 yuan for more than two people. However, hotels are generally concentrated in Abo Port. If you come to Miyanoura Port, it will be a bit far away, and you need to plan your itinerary in advance.

Across the road is Nagata Beach. The owner was very enthusiastic and led us to find the hatched turtles before dawn the next day. Fortunately, we not only saw the turtles running towards the sea, but also saw the footprints of the turtles crawling on the beach like wheels. After checking out, the boss even specifically called us that we had something left in the room, which happened to be picked up on the return trip to West Forest Road. There are also very few people on the beach, and the children have a great time playing at the beach all day.

It is close to Miyanoura Port and on the side of the road, very easy to find. The homestay is Japanese style, using public baths and toilets. Stations, information centers, supermarkets, and various restaurants are nearby, making travel very convenient. It is also convenient to get to the attractions by car.

Thank you for your honeymoon. Not long after the pension itself opened, it is very beautiful and Hawaiian and gorgeous. The owner and wife are really very good 々! I think this is the kind of hospitality from the heart. It feels like I came to play at the relatives of Yakushima. It is perfect to enjoy Yakushima! The next day, Jomon Sugi trekking, the time schedule, the time of the bus, the transfer, and the way of the trekking are shown to be referenced by showing various materials I did. By the way, rice is delicious that doesn't lose to the inn around! You can enjoy the food and dishes of Yakushima. The fish sashimi, the fish fried, the Kagoshima tonkotsu boil, the mahimahi foil baking, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., There is no bath only in the pension. But don't worry. The pension has a bath set so you can go to the nearby hot springs. You can lend an electric car and teach you the way order carefully. I lent a one-piece when I went to the sea hot spring. You can enjoy the hot springs in Yakushima in the real sense.By the way, when you come back from Jomon Sugi trekking, if you are late, there will be no bus to connect to awa and Miyanoura. But if you come back for 10 hours, you can't get in time for such an early bus. Luana House is opposite to the port, so there is a bus to connect even a late bus! It's quite important here. Even if you get in time for the mountaineering bus, you will call a taxi if you don't get in time for the route bus. If you want to stay for about a week in this inn, you may want to stay for about a week. This time I was too busy to pack my schedule, but I would like to go to stay again. If you want to enjoy Yakushima all round, it is an inn that I would recommend!

I was a little worried because I didn't know the distance from nearby restaurants at the inn for a night stay, but I booked because the reputation of a certain travel site was very good. It was the correct answer to stay. I was prepared to move on foot because I couldn't drive the car because I would drink dinner and come back, but my husband picked me up to the tavern. The ”Tenkatsu”, which introduced us to a delicious shop, and especially the local people, was a delicious and fun tavern. Also, the breakfast was very delicious with a reputation Bento shop. The room is 4 rooms in total. Very large and cozy, even TV, cooler and refrigerator. The bus toilet is joint. 3 The room is on the 2 floor and 1 the room is on the 1 floor. There is a bar on the first floor and soft drinks such as coffee are free. Shochu is 300 yen for 1 glass. There is a massage chair. Wi-Fi was quite late in the room on the second floor and was at its own speed on the first floor. Because it was a busy period, the accommodation fee was 14,000 yen for two people. I felt that it was high because the quiet period was 8600 yen, but I actually stayed and was very satisfied with the staff's response and facilities. It is an inn that I want to repeat. Near 々, start to provide meals. I'm also looking forward to this, but I don't want you to stop picking up and dropping to the tavern (laughs).

Pension Hello is located in Yakushima and takes about 20 minute by car from Anbou Port, near Onoaida Onsen and Mocchomu Dake. It takes about 30 minute to Yakushima Airport by car. Guests may borrow hair dryers at no additional charge (please inquire at the front desk for details). The hotel possesses 8 rooms.

1. The location is at its best. If you are planning a day trip from Shiratani Unsuikyo, it is highly recommended. If you plan to hike for more than 1 night, it is recommended to ensure the safety of your stay. 2. It is a little uncomfortable because it is a shared bathroom and a shared bathroom. 3. The owner's face is ugly, but it's okay. 4. The owner seems to be working as a tour guide.
