Hampton by Hilton Nuevo Vallarta

I have stayed at some high end beachfront hotels n the area over the past 15 years and if you are coming to town and do not need a beach front hotel this is the place. I stayed here when it first opened and it was clean, staff very hospital and after several years open it has gotten better WOW! And the price you can not beat for the area and cleanness, you want to stay here. David the GM and his staff have kept things very clean and made service improvements that have enhanced the the visitors experience. It is our home away from home. Donnie G

Hotel Ysuri Sayulita
4.5/5100 Reviews
Hotel Ysuri was such a fantastic place to stay for our trip to Sayulita, my husband and I absolutely loved it! Our room was beautiful and spacious with a scenic view of the hotel pool and Sayulita beach. But the thing that left the most lasting impression was the absolutely amazing service! Even before arriving in Sayulita, the hotel manager Rodrigo was reaching out to me to suggest fun activities and things to do. The check in process was so easy. He remembered who we were and the things we had planned and followed up to see how everything was going; which everything was amazing!! You can tell how much these people love what they do! Mary, who works the snack bar at the pool was always so kind, welcoming and excited to interact with the hotel guests. She is so friendly and makes some delicious nachos and quesadillas!! It was such a pleasure to stay here and we can’t wait to return one day!
Family Selection at Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
4.1/563 Reviews
I would give 5 starts just for “The Nest” restaurant. Special mentions and a big thank you to Nazly, Daniela, Andres, Julio, Roberto for their excellent service. Family-like service with a smile and always ready to accommodate requests. I’d say everyone who worked here made us feel welcome and we ended up frequenting the restaurant just for the service, food and views. 5/5 for the breathtaking views and the delicious Mexican meals. The reason for giving a 4/5 is for the overall family selection itself. While it’s definitely better than the rest of the resort. Pros: access to a nice beach that isn’t crowded, pools are nicer and good small perks / conveniences. Carlos (the butler) made us feel welcome and was always ready to serve with a smile. Room cleaning frequency is way better (by a mile compared to the regular) - thanks to Belen our tireless and excellent cleaner. Cons: Other restaurants (outside of Nest) are nearly impossible to get a reservation on the App, when we managed to talk to someone and get a reservation, we realized the restaurants aren’t even 50% full. It’s not easy to get a hold of folks on the phone from the room, but when you meet them face to face they are ready to help. Non-family selection areas: Before we upgraded we had constant badgering from the palladium attendants who wanted us to do a walking tour to get some free spa coupon. Service at the regular resort (not family selection) was minimal - tough to catch a hold of anyone and SO crowded so we felt the need to “have to” upgrade.
Sayulinda Hotel

I’d say 4.5 out of 5 stars! Beautiful hotel! The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for…colorful, lively, very clean. Lovely staff (Jaime at the front desk was so interesting to chat with…I swear he knows more about Canada than I do! and the beautiful ladies at reception who were always so helpful in answering our random questions, and securing taxis on our behalf- thank you). The couple that runs the attached breakfast restaurant are friendly, gracious, hard working. Please remember to tip them as this is their own business. The rooftop terrace was something to see…stunning view, lovely decor, even a live band one night! This hotel is right in the fun, lively centre of town. Very noisy at night from all of the live music everywhere. Everything is within a 10 min walk away. Bring good shoes, as the streets and sidewalks are very uneven, and you really have to watch your step. Our room wasn’t too bad in terms of the nighttime noise, you could hear it but we still slept. It kind of became a white noise. Apparently there are some rooms that are more noisy than others, but another couple we spoke with said the hotel staff relocated them to a quieter room with no problem. The rooms are supplied with earplugs. So if you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn’t the place for you. However, if you’re looking for a beautiful, lively, right-in-the-heart-of-the-action experience, 30 second walk to the beautiful beach, then you will love it here! So why not 5 stars? We were a little disappointed that we weren’t allowed to bring our own alcoholic bevvies up to the terrace, you’re only allowed to order from the bar. It was expensive so we hardly spent any time up there because of this. The rooms (standard) had no dressers to put our clothes away so it was difficult to stay organized for two ladies and all of our clothes. Norma did a very nice job of cleaning up after us. Thank you Norma!! There are only 3 selections for breakfast. Two of them include eggs, and the third is simply a fruit plate. I’m not an egg lover, and a plate of fruit, with no proteins or carbs, left me hungry and in need of food an hour later. However, my sister likes eggs and said the egg dishes were good. So because of this, I felt that the cost of our room for the week was a little high, but I do not regret the experience. I do recommend this beautiful hotel for those looking for a lively experience. In general, this most amazing little surf town with a huge zest for living the good life was an experience like no other. Completely different from the all-inclusive vacation, and I am now hooked on Sayulita. I loved Puerto Vallarta, but now that I have been to Sayulita, this will be my go-to spot in Mexico going forward. It is safe, the locals are friendly and laid back. Even the beach vendors are awesome and gracious.

OK Y’all. Day three of our five night six day stay. I cannot wait any longer to dispute all the naysayers regarding this hotel! Our stay has been amazing so far! The service is five star… Everyone has been super accommodating. I would name names but it would be simply everyone we’ve encountered so far. I will say that Gabriella, Josefina, Hugo, Luis (buffet) and everyone at the Altitude lounge are super nice and clearly want to make our stay the best it can be:) So far the food has been pretty freaking awesome. Breakfast buffet yes really fabulous. Mexican restaurant last night a super great surprise given the terrible reviews we saw. No idea who is trolling this hotel and posting all those bad reviews but I’m telling you that I am very particular and really appreciate great service. So far that’s all I have had at this really wonderful place! About to try the grill so will cut it short for now. But let’s just close by saying that my guy booked this place and I was super skeptical because of all the bad reviews. So glad I trusted him because I am loving it here :-) The infinity pool does get pretty loud during the day but I’m sure younger people love it. By the way we are in an oceanfront suite and joined the altitude club a very good investment! Carrie and Ed
