Four of us stayed at the River Kwai Resotel resort over the Christmas holiday. Our rooms were bungalow-style with a shared porch. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The shower was very large and the amenities were adequate. They replenished the coffee/tea daily in addition to the waters. Even though other bungalows are very near, they do a great job of landscaping to block the views between them. Breakfast was ample. The restaurant is quite good, especially with its Thai offerings. They have 2 nice swimming pools. The one near reception is a smaller size while the one to the west of the main area is quite large. We enjoyed many swims. There are bikes available for use on grounds. They have some lounge chairs below at their dock. You can arrive by boat or car. The drive in is quite long and through a very rural area. It's quite amazing when you reach the end of the road and see this entire resort unfold. We spent some time and a little money at the neighboring Mon village. Walking up to the caves at the small, national park was also fun. Lots of up & down walking at the resort, too, as it's built into a steep, river valley hillside. Other than the bats at the cave, we didn't see much wildlife. There are a nice assortment of birds attracted to this resort area, however, and the morning serenade is lovely. They do have a small snack hut but the prices reflect that you are quite some distance from any competition. We all enjoyed our stay and do plan to return another time.

The accommodation is located in Sai Yok District, Kanchanaburi Province, convenient to travel. There is enough parking and then from the parking lot, a short walk to the room. The accommodation has both a sheet and a room type, where the rooms on the shore have a private swimming pool as well. There is a restaurant that is delivered directly to the room, good taste, inexpensive. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained, there may be a problem with water leakage a little at the bathroom.
