Admas Grand Hotel
4.3/518 Reviews
I stayed in Uganda for two weeks, and I had great experiences at hotels and with my tour guide. Except THE ADMAS GRAND HOTEL WAS SO BAD. First, the man who picked up the laundry from my room insisted on entering and closing the door. I tried to hand him my laundry bag, but he came in, and then he told me that he needed to inspect all my laundry, so he walked in and laid all my clothes out on the bed. Since I was going to the restaurant to eat dinner, he told me that I should send him a WhatsApp message instead of calling the front desk. He wanted to ensure that I received my laundry right away, but why should I give the hotel staff my personal number? Then, one of the men who worked at the bar was harassing me. He asked me if I wanted to be friends and said I should give him my WhatsApp number. I told him I didn't have WhatsApp, and then he kept persisting and asking for my email ID and if I was on Google Hangouts. He kept talking to me over and over and staring at me from across the restaurant. Would he have done this if I had my boyfriend with me? It's unfortunate that I couldn't just enjoy dinner in peace because I'm a woman sitting alone. The next day I told the hotel manager about how uncomfortable I felt. He told me that he would fix the problem and that I didn't need to leave. After he talked to me, he walked to the bar area, so I assumed he talked to the man who was harassing me. However, only 15 minutes later, that same man walked by where I was sitting in the lobby, and he was harassing me again! He was smiling and walking by slowly and deliberately, trying to talk to me. I don't mind people being nice, which is most of the people in Uganda, but the men at this hotel are so pushy to ask women for their phone numbers! Lastly, the laundry service is a rip-off. They charged me $45 to have one romper, one pair of socks, 4 panties, 4 t-shirts, and 2 undergarments washed. I'm not exaggerating. In Uganda, this should cost $5 to wash and I understand that the hotel needs a markup but this is insulting. The manager told me that often the hotel guests asks for a discount on laundry because they also think it's expensive but he didn't offer me a discount.

It is literally 5 mins from the airport so it makes it very easy to land and get to your hotel as well as be able to leave and get to the airport on time. Beautiful view of the lake but you cannot have direct access to the water as their is wall. You can however access it through a gate to the next property. The rooms are spacious but a little dated. The bathroom doesn't have counter top either around the sink or next to the mirror for your personal grooming stuff that you may have carried.
Best Western Premier Garden Hotel Entebbe

There was lots that I loved about this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the location is great (attached to the mall and opposite the craft centre). The food was very good, the rooms were stylish and well equipped (excellent hot shower, wifi, TV, hairdryer, balcony) and the complimentary airport transfer was much appreciated. I had chosen this hotel principally for its swimming pool which was beautiful. But I discovered that this is also used by locals at weekends. There were various soundboxes (all competing to be the loudest!), and children and groups jumping in and being very noisy. This felt like a public pool, not a hotel pool, and not a place where hotel guests can relax. I have no problem with locals using the pool, but feel that Best Western should maintain the standards displayed in the hotel. I was also unlucky to not sleep well due to a great deal of noise until after 1am from guests in the corridor/lobby, I assume from a late night in the bar.

Executive Airport Hotel

After my experiences here, I wouldn't choose anywhere else! They go above and beyond making your time in Entebbe safe, healthy, comfortable, easy to handle things like rides, finding delicious food (both on location and out and about), finding where to make transactions to receive Ugandan Shillings, and more! There are screens in the windows, most rooms have AC units, there are a few rooms with two double beds and a twin bed (makes staying with a family so much easier), tables, etc. All of Uganda deals with power outages and low water pressure at times; Executive Airport Hotel does their best to combat any issues with a generator and buckets of water for faster flushing. Staff is respectful and kind to ALL, we couldn't ask for more! Highly recommended!

This time we stayed over with kids They were accommodative to the request and made adjustments to the room enabling as to stay together. They don't have a joint rooms. Breakfast was good and had variety Incuding stuff. Room was clean and staff were helpful. It wouldbe great to have a table in the room especially Executive rooms just incase one wants to work from the room.
