I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. The location is perfect, right at the foot of Mount Hua, just a few minutes' drive from the visitor center, and parking is convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and you can see the mountain view as soon as you open the window. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was incredibly therapeutic. The owner even picked us up from the mountain and prepared hot water and ginger tea for us. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay with no hidden fees, offering great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Mount Hua.

This hotel was by far the highlight of our trip to Xi’an. The interior blends Tang-inspired aesthetics with a modern minimalist design, creating a space that feels both refined and incredibly comfortable. The communal areas on the ground floor and the tea space on the fourth floor are perfect for unwinding. Each day, guests are offered a complimentary coffee as well as drinks at the bar across the street, which is a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff are also exceptionally professional — noticeably above the standard we’ve experienced at many other hotels.

Great location in the Muslim Quarter. Lots of food around, short walk to the bell tower, near the buses to the Terracotta Army, and a short subway ride to all the other main attractions. It’s down an alley, but there are a lot of signs t make to it easy to find, and it also means it’s very quiet despite being in the middle of a popular area. The owners were friendly. I visited in winter and they made sure the room was heated in advance of my arrival. It was quite cozy.

The room design was really good! We actually swapped rooms with another couple, so I got a whole big bed to myself, haha. The hotel is right inside the Muslim Quarter, which made it super convenient for eating out and sightseeing. The front desk guy also recommended a bunch of restaurants, most of them nearby, and the food was indeed delicious. I was surprised (in a good way!) that the hotel even had an elevator, and it wasn't noisy at all, so it didn't disturb our rest. Sitting on the terrace in the evening was quite pleasant. We booked a tour through the hotel, and it was actually cheaper than booking outside, plus the tour itself was great – big shoutout to the tour guide! It's a shame we were pressed for time and had to head to Lanzhou; otherwise, I would have loved to stay another night.

This is by far the best guesthouse I've seen at the foot of a scenic mountain. The hostess is beautiful and friendly, and the service is absolutely top-notch. The hotel exceeded our expectations – it's super clean, hygienic, and offers excellent value for money. We stayed in a family room, and we could even see trains passing by outside our window, which made for great photos! Meals are available right at the guesthouse, cooked by them, and they are both affordable and delicious. All in all, it's fantastic, and we'll definitely be back if we get the chance!

I really liked staying here! The hotel was lovely and clean, very conveniently located, and the cats are absolutely friendly and delightful. I was very pleased with the Ancient Wall View from my room - close enough to see, but not close enough that people were looking into the room! The room itself was also perfect for me, with a comfortable bed and a very modern bathroom. Getting in was miiiiiildly confusing, just because I didn't realise that the hotel requires walking down a tiny (clearly signposted) alley to get to the stairs - not too bad, but I had to walk past twice to realise where I was. Overall a great stay!

We had planned to travel from Xi’An to Huayin and stay a night before for our attempt the following day to hike Huashan’s North Peak to West Peak route. Jinglanshan’s owner messaged me a day before that he will pick us up from the train station. It was a very nice gesture. In fact he ferried us to and from the park entrance for our hike and also dropped us off at the train station for our return trip to Xi’An. He also helped me secure West Peak cable car tickets for our ride down the mountain (I had no success trying to buy these tickets on various online platforms) Jinglanshan homestay is located at a quiet village near the Huashan scenic area park entrance several km from the town center and Huashanbei train station. Since our main focus is hiking Huashan, we do not mind having simple meals prepared by the owner. Overall Jinglanshan homestay exceeded our expectations in terms of service and assistance.

First off, the service was almost *too* good! Before we even arrived at Mount Hua, the owner proactively called to ask about our high-speed train schedule so they could pick us up. They were also very accommodating and flexible with our timings for picking us up to go to Mount Hua, back to the guesthouse, and then to the high-speed train station. Next, the food. For convenience, we had breakfast at the guesthouse for two days, and it was quite a revelation for us Southerners! The steamed buns with cold dishes were delicious. On the second day, we even ordered the preserved eggs with chili that we'd been craving all day – absolutely fantastic! We also had dinner there once, and it was delicious, delicious, delicious. Finally, the room. The room was exactly as described. We originally planned to book a mountain-view room, but our itinerary changed so we didn't end up staying in one. However, our room was still very good and offered mountain views. Plus, we went up to the rooftop in the evening to watch the sunset and again in the morning for some fresh air, which was really pleasant. Oh, and the king-size bed felt like it could sleep four people, haha! Overall, our stay here was really excellent. Great people, great rooms, great views. I feel like if I ever have the chance to come back, I'd bring my family and stay for a month to truly experience the relaxing mountain life. I've been to Xi'an many times, always in a hurry. This time, staying here really let me appreciate the city's charm. Just eating, drinking, shopping, wandering, and having a cup of tea or a small drink near the hotel was delightful. In the morning, I strolled along the city wall park, joined the public square dancing like a local, swinging my arms and legs. There's a morning market next door, full of local life – I really envy the locals. The hotel breakfast was exquisite and tasty. The front desk staff upgraded my room, which was very spacious. The service was excellent, and overall it was quiet. The rooftop terrace offered unique and beautiful views. It's definitely worth another visit.
