Homestays in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan

I'm not particularly picky about accommodation, but this one looks a bit old, just like my student dormitory. Although the appearance is not attractive, the actual hygiene is OK. The service is basically self-service. It's just a little bit opposite the station square, and it's very convenient to walk to Takamatsu Castle. I booked a triple room for one person, but it feels like it can actually accommodate four or five people. It has its own advantages compared to staying in an Internet cafe, but it feels better than other youth hostels.

This little guesthouse is simple but so well priced and met all our needs - mostly its close proximity (15 minutes walk) to both Honnura port area and the start of the Benesse house art zone, the main locations for the absolutely amazing art installations on Naoshima. Room was well sized, clean, secure and warm. The host was very friendly - he even gave us a lift into the Benesse area to give us a great head start on our day, and securely stored our luggage for the day. I would definitely stay here again. For those coming to Naoshima I would recommend staying 2 nights so you are not rushing your time on this beautiful serene island and make sure you book various galleries well in advance, they sell out even in off season!!

Tokuto is a cut above the rest. If I ever stay in Teshima again, I’ll return here. Peaceful retreat, thoughtful touches, with a lot of attention to detail from the landscaping to the bathrooms. The host also makes the stay enjoyable with great hospitality. It felt like a family member was looking out for me, but also leaving me to make myself at home. A lot of care is taken and it shows and it is felt. A zen garden for a zen experience.

Near to Miyanoura Port, coming from Uno Port. It is a mere 4 min walk from the port. There is no reception to inform you of the room. So we opened the doors to each building. My name was on a piece of paper near the door/ shoe shelf. If there is someone staying in a building, he/she/ they would have locked the door so no worries. Big clean and nice :)

這次在 GOKAN KOTOHIRA 的兩晚住宿體驗非常出色，整體感覺遠超預期。酒店位於琴平町中心位置，步行到主要景點與餐廳都非常方便，對第一次來琴平的旅客來說十分友善。 我們入住的是金屬房（Metal Room），房間設計感強烈，乾淨整潔，空間規劃非常合理。床鋪舒適，睡眠質素很好，晚上非常安靜，完全沒有受到外界干擾。房內 Wi‑Fi 穩定快速，對需要上網工作或查資料的旅客來說非常方便。 雖然住宿沒有傳統前台，但入住指示清晰易明，整個自助入住流程順暢無壓力。酒店亦提供免費泊車，對自駕的住客來說非常貼心。 整體來說，這是一間兼具設計感、舒適度與便利性的住宿。無論是位置、房間質素、設施還是入住體驗都令人非常滿意。因為房間分兩層而出入口及浴室位於下層，行動不便或是腳力有限的朋友們舒適感可能會差些少，但仍非常推薦給計劃到琴平旅行的朋友，下次來香川一定會再次選擇這裡。

The hotel is relatively remote, and it is recommended to book if you have a car, but the environment is in nature, you can relax your mind and rest.

The location is ideal, just a five-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station and the airport bus stop. The overall cleanliness and management, especially the common area, and the fully equipped kitchen are definitely a good choice if you want to cook your own meals. The owner is very friendly and enthusiastic, speaks fluent English, and there will be no problem communicating.

It is not far from the station and the shopping street. The whole is not wrong. The bed has pillowcases to use and has to cook. However, the bathroom is slightly thin, the whole is not wrong, convenient.

A spacious and artistic home with a touch of western design. The only downsides are the there is nothing much at the surrounding and the outlook looks pretty old

The room is not small, very comfortable, it is an apartment nature, you can cook, the room is not too convenient to be equipped with a microwave oven. The only problem is that this small room is a temporary room, the sound insulation is not particularly good, it is easy to wake up in the morning than birds or cicadas. In the morning there is free bread, butter, jam. There is a convenient soup, you can drink it. You can rent an electric bicycle, and it is especially convenient to ride around the island. There is a section of the road that does not allow bicycles to pass during the day. It seems that after 5 o'clock, the museum is closed and no one cares. Still quite recommended.
