We had a triple room for two nights and to be fair the price was pretty low. It was clean, but pretty uncomfortable beds and definitely could do with being updated a bit. Breakfast was included but don’t expect too much! It’s close to the city centre and nearby transport, so if you’re looking for somewhere just to get your head down then it does the job.

I enjoyed my stay overall. The hotel is in a good, central location and the rooms are spacious and clean enough. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but I was rudely spoken to twice in a matter of minutes. First, by the staff at breakfast, and second, in an elevator with a member of the cleaning staff. At breakfast, I had no idea you were meant to return the trays at a specific location and I got reprimanded for that. In the elevator, the cleaning staff member wanted me to leave the elevator so he could come in and bring his cleaning trolley into the elevator. It was a weird experience. I rarely write anything negative but I felt like I had to point this out.

I booked three nights at the hostel, but couldn’t stay there for more than 1 night. The room was unbearably hot (over 30°C), and believe it or not, they didn’t have either AC or a fan in the bedroom. We were sweating like a pig and couldn’t sleep at all. Then I went down to the reception and requested for a fan. The receptionist told me they didn’t have any fans. No towels, no soap, no padlock as courtesy. When I left the hostel, the manager said that I would get a one night refund, so the money would be sent into the same credit card I paid for the 3 nights. Guess what? They’ve never transferred the money into my account. They don’t answer my emails, phone calls… not professional at all. This is definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. Stay away from this horrible place.

We came to Brussels for two nights. We booked a single room, number 503, in the Brxxl5 hotel. From the first night we were literally devoured by bedbugs. In the morning we were even able to “cross paths” with them because they were so huge (see photo). We informed the staff, in particular a certain Ana at reception for whom it was obviously not her problem because I quote ”she does not take care of the cleaning but of the arrival of customers” so the customer service stops there, simply to cash in. After being accused by the latter of having brought in bedbugs, they guaranteed us a full refund. Which obviously wasn't done and now they no longer respond to emails. Apart from that, no hot water, smell of urine in the corridors. In short, we spent our 2 weekend days managing the problem between pharmacy, finding a new hotel, new clothes etc... Run away!!!

Sint-Jans-Molenbeek
The location is a certain distance from the subway. A little closer to the bus and tram station. Why the eating place nearby is a bit deserted. Hygiene feels very general. The noise of cars coming and going outside sleeping at night is very noisy. The equipment is okay, each bed has a charging port and a bedside light. If you bring a lock yourself, there are also cabinets that can be locked. Breakfast is provided, which is pretty average, but you don’t have to go out and look for it again. The toilet and bathroom are separate, which is good.
