Hostels in Hovedstaden, Denmark

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the city centre. All the major tourist attractions are within walking distance, and the surroundings are beautiful and feel safe to walk around. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel with a direct connection to the airport, and Tivoli Gardens is extremely close by. The hotel is always busy and lively. I was a little concerned about safety because I had to catch a bus to the airport at 3 a.m., but the bus stop was very close, and there were always people around the hotel area. The staff are also available 24/7. You will be lucky if you get clean, quiet, and considerate roommates. The bathroom is quite small, and I think the lower bunk located right next to the bathroom is probably the most inconvenient bed, as you have to deal with quite a lot of noise. The lockers in the rooms are not large enough to fit a cabin-sized suitcase and can only accommodate a small backpack. You also need to bring your own padlock, and I would recommend bringing slippers as well. The bed itself looked clean, but the storage compartments and the gaps around the bed were quite dirty. However, considering how large and busy the hotel is, I can understand that it may be difficult to keep every area perfectly clean at all times.

The atmosphere was genuinely welcoming and relaxed and the location is great, but the hygiene is not really good for the bathroom, there is a weak water flow for the shower, and the hotel reception was in the bar, and the rooms were above the bar, making it a bit noisy at night. This hostel don't have any common areas; you either went out or stayed in the dorm. They didn't even provide shower gel or shampoo.

The location is a bit out of the way, requiring about a 20-minute bus ride to the city center. As for the accommodation, it was my first time staying in a 'camping-style' hostel. Essentially, they make maximum use of a large room, using tents to create smaller, individual spaces. This is supposed to differentiate it from a dormitory with dozens of beds in one big room. However, the actual experience isn't fundamentally different from a hostel with 30-40 beds in a single room. The tents offer no soundproofing, and the beds inside each tent are practically touching. On the positive side, the washroom facilities are quite good. It's clear they are regularly cleaned, and there are plenty of them.

I was around the city for 3days of design and happy for the stay (female share room). The room is pretty clean except there was no curtain for each bed and bathroom was tiny than expected. The hostel is nearby the metro station and easy to walk down to the city center. It’s surrounded by a small lake, people used to running and jogging there a lot. Also, You can pay 100 DKK for late check-out and stay until 1:00 PM. But no early check-in was available. Instead there’s a storage downstairs which charge me 2 hours for 25 DKK and 6 hours for 40 DKK.

It is a Hostel, so expectations were not high. The room was small but very clean, as was the washroom. Staff were very helpful. Too far from the Airport and City Centre. The entrance is at the back of the building and although there is an Exit door in the front of the building on the street address, the actual entrance and Reception is at the back with NO sign to go to the back.

This hostel's beds are super clean. The pillows and duvet covers are already on, so you just need to put on the bed sheet yourself. The 10-person dorm has two showers and one toilet, and the space isn't cramped at all. It's really great!

I truly enjoyed my stay. What stood out the most was the warm welcome and exceptional support from the staff. As a first-time visitor to Europe, I often needed directions and information, and every question was answered with patience, kindness, and clear explanations. Their willingness to help made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the genuine hospitality of the team made those minor shortcomings fade into the background. What I will remember most is not the facilities, but the people who made me feel welcome and cared for. Thank you for making my first European trip even more special. Fantastic location, easy to reach from the highway as well as with public transport. Good sized room with comfy bed and good and clean facilities. The burgers and milkshakes are amazing and the 50's US style adds a lot of character.
