It's about a 1km+ walk to Qilou Old Street, across the street and through the park, which takes about half an hour. The hotel's special feature is the deep well hot spring, and indeed, after showering, my skin felt incredibly smooth and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel offers various services like self-service laundry and airport transfers, and the breakfast is quite good. The downsides are that the bathroom had a slight odor, and there was some noise at night.

LLost_in_the_JungleLet me first say, hotels are always looking for a good review, but I will only give a good review if I honestly feel they deserve it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Qixian~ the resort grounds are absolutely stunning. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised to discover that the resort has been thoughtfully designed to feel part of the rainforest. Everywhere you look there are giant boulders, gurgling clear streams, ancient trees and hidden trails that make you feel you are walking deep in a forest. All you hear are the birds and the water rushing in the streams! We have travelled all over China, and this is the quietest, most authentic feeling nature spot we have ever experienced.
In addition, there are so many hot springs you can choose to relax in, or you can use the hot spring attached to your balcony!
The restaurant has a good variety and we liked everything we ordered, it was fresh and flavorful, we tried the pork ribs and braised tofu, both delicious, but the green coconut filled buns were a perfect ending!
The lobby staff was friendly and helpful, and gave us all kinds of upgrades! You can get pickup on the carts anytime, but we preferred to walk and enjoy the beauty, the resort grounds feel huge, but honestly its well designed so you can reach any spot in 5-10 minutes.
Also, they have all kinds of activities you can join. We really enjoyed the rainforest walk, the lady from the Li family that conducted the walk was so lovely, we could tell she really had a connection to the forest and just radiated joy as she showed us all the plants, it was one of the highlights of our stay!
Our room was clean, the sheets were soft and the bed was comfortable. The view onto the palm forest was so relaxing to look at as we soaked in the spring.
The infinity pool was spectacular, the setting is gorgeous and peaceful. The coconuts and dessert we ordered were really good, however, the drinks we ordered were awful and maybe they can get some more outgoing staff to work at the pool bar, maybe because it was winter time and less people are at the pool?
Breakfast is served in a building that overlooks the river, there is ALL kinds of food, if you are a Westerner you can find fried eggs, toast, and pastries. But I recommend going to the area where fresh rice noodle is made for you on the spot, add toppings and fried eggs, it was delicious!
There are some rustic areas to the resort- it feels a bit abandoned in areas, like its just too big to keep up with ie. Giant empty pools, some of the buildings look in desperate need of refurbishing, but overall we felt like the resort was truly beautiful and amenities really made this a great value for the price we paid. We are already planning to come back when we need a break from the city!

GGuest UserTraveling with my 85-year-old in-laws, we once again stayed at the Mission Hills Resort. Lobby Manager Zhao Yedian greeted us warmly and arranged two adjacent rooms for us on a high floor with a great view. The weather in Haikou was rainy for a few days, and she thoughtfully placed dehumidifiers in our rooms, which was incredibly considerate!
The hotel rooms were clean and spacious, and from the balcony, we had a panoramic view of the Blackstone Golf Course. Last year, we had two vouchers for a golf course tour. The course attendant drove us around, explaining the history of the Blackstone Golf Course and the tournaments it had hosted.
In the evening, we went to the hot pot seafood buffet and were once again greeted by the warm and professional manager, Chen Qiumei. She helped us find a good table and welcomed my in-laws like family. The ingredients for the hot pot buffet were incredibly fresh, and the lamb skewers and oysters were absolutely delicious. The Western desserts and cakes were also excellent! All in all, our stay at Mission Hills Resort was very enjoyable! Many thanks again to managers Zhao Yedian and Chen Qiumei; your excellent service made us feel right at home!

Our butler, Zirong, provided attentive and thoughtful service, proactively informing us about the restaurant's operating hours and the location of the kids' club, which was very considerate. There is a kids' club, but it would be even better if there were more and a wider variety of facilities for children to play with; I believe it would be even more popular with the little ones.

GGuest UserThe DoubleTree by Hilton Spa Hotel truly made our family vacation special, right from check-in to check-out, thanks to the professional and warm service of Helen at the front desk. We were quite tired from our journey, but Helen greeted us with a smile and quickly processed our check-in. She also proactively introduced us to the hotel's unique hot springs, pool opening hours, and activities for families. Over the next few days, every time we passed the front desk, Helen would greet us warmly and ask if we needed any help. She even recommended some authentic local eateries that only locals would know about. The hotel itself was also impeccable: the room was clean and spacious, housekeeping was meticulous, and the balcony offered a lovely view of the lush garden. The hot springs had a great variety of pools, and soaking in them at night was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast offered a wide selection; my child especially loved the waffles, and I really enjoyed the coffee. A big thank you to Helen; she not only demonstrated Hilton's standard of professional service but also made us feel like family with her genuine warmth and care.

The hotel room's decor has a beautiful artistic feel, and the river view from the balcony is truly delightful. This time, I had the pleasure of encountering Sister Chen, who was cleaning, and I'm giving her 5 stars for her excellent service attitude and communication skills.

GGuest UserFacilities: This traditional five-star hotel has all the amenities one would expect, including a hot spring in the courtyard and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Hygiene: The hygiene was acceptable, but there was a strong musty smell. We had to open the doors and windows to air out the room.
Environment: It's close to the International Duty-Free City with a shuttle service, making shopping convenient. However, it's far from the city center, so public transportation isn't very convenient. This isn't an issue if you're driving. Ordering takeout in the surrounding area isn't very convenient, with limited options.
Service: The concierge service was excellent. The bellhops at the lobby entrance were very attentive and proactive in helping with luggage and pointing out steps. Their service awareness was outstanding. The front desk service was also very good, with smooth and efficient check-in and check-out.
The complimentary travel photoshoot was completely unnecessary. The photographer had a poor sense of time, delaying without prior communication. We were on a tight schedule, and the photographer was late (because the previous guest hadn't finished selecting photos). Their aesthetic sense was also mediocre. It would have been better not to offer this perk at all, as it just caused frustration in the end.

AAnnieWe went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels.
Cleanliness: overall quite clean.
Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island.
Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced.
Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them.

GGuest UserThe room was great. I have to thank Trip.com, as I booked the wrong dates and they helped me get a full refund for those days, which I really appreciate.
However, the Eurotel is supposed to be a bit grander. My parents and I booked a suite, and I was going to sleep on the sofa for a night. I asked for an extra blanket, but the service here is quite inconsistent. The last staff member I spoke to helped me with the blanket, but the previous ones all said they didn't have any. It's not a big deal, but these small things make you feel uncomfortable. They told me all the blankets were checked out and there were no spares, but there were plenty of empty rooms online. Are you really telling me you'd rather leave rooms empty than give a guest an extra blanket? I ended up getting quite angry and complaining to customer service. Who wants to lose their temper during the New Year holiday?! Although it was eventually resolved, it still left a bad taste in my mouth.
