GGuest UserIf you book early, you can also get a free horseback riding experience. The fee includes three meals a day, you can swim, catch fish in the stream, watch the sunrise and sea of clouds, taste coffee and pick coffee beans. It is definitely a treasure manor. It was New Year's Eve, and we prepared a self-service stir-fry, which tasted good. The self-service beef hot pot was also great, with many varieties, delicious beef, and self-service drinks. What else do you want a bicycle?

The service is excellent, and the breakfast is great, especially the coffee. The hot spring pools are a real highlight, with over 20 outdoor pools, all clearly marked with their water temperature. Surrounded by tropical plants like coconut and palm trees, it's incredibly relaxing to soak in the sun. The hotel also offers dedicated butler service, which is very attentive.

GGuest UserWhile it's an older hotel, the facilities are well-maintained, and the environment is quite pleasant. It's only about a ten-minute drive to both ancient towns. The room was clean, but the private hot tub wasn't as clean. It felt like it hadn't been cleaned before I filled it, as there were bugs and leaves floating in the water after it drained. The edges of the tub felt slimy, like old limescale. However, the water temperature was good. The service from one staff member at breakfast was mediocre; he just stood there without reacting when something dropped and broke near him. On the other hand, the front desk and concierge staff were exceptionally good!

MM680398****This was my first time visiting Shangri-La, and this hotel truly stood out. The service was warm and welcoming, and they even had parking available. The staff helped us with our luggage to our room, which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room had a unique charm, and the heating and hot water were plentiful. The young owner was also incredibly hospitable; I even saw him sharing champagne with some guests during their meal – it truly felt like a harmonious place. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and in the morning, you can catch the stunning 'Golden Mountain' sunrise over Shika Snow Mountain. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly.
**Facilities**
We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish.
**Cleanliness**
It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed.
**Dining**
The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead.
**Surroundings**
It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation.
**Summary**
High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

The staff are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. Plus, it's so close to the ancient city, making transportation super convenient. MM55355****Cangshan No. 1 is a hotel with advanced concepts. The management model is a team of butlers who create a feeling of home for guests and think of everything in front of them.

AAppleheThis was my first stop in Yunnan, traveling solo, and I stayed at the InterContinental for three nights. I'm so grateful they upgraded me to an executive balcony room – it was beautiful!
The InterContinental is very grand, and the hardware is impeccable. The service was also great; all the staff were welcoming and enthusiastic.
However, it's just too big! As someone with mobility issues, my legs would ache every time I walked to and from my room. Thankfully, I could call a shuttle to pick me up and drop me off at the closest point, but walking such a long way to breakfast every morning was incredibly tiring (later, I went to the Hilton Dali Ancient City, which was small and exquisite – an absolute delight and a 'leg-friendly' hotel!).
If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to update the shuttle. It's quite old and rickety, and the rattling noise is really jarring. 😂

__WeChat251062****This was my first time visiting Dali for hot springs, so of course, I had to choose the most famous one. I booked a new Bai-style guesthouse with a private hot spring pool.
The private hot spring pool offers 24-hour hot spring water service.
You can adjust the flow of both cold and hot water using two valves. Both have strong flow, so the tub fills up quickly. Once you've set it, you can just relax and enjoy your soak!
The hotel package included hot spring tickets, water park access, and a bonfire party.
At the water park, I tried the water slide and the wave pool.
Zooming down the water slide on a mat was quite exhilarating. The waves were strongest at the edge of the wave pool, and I spent half an hour there.
There are many hot spring pools, offering various styles, but they're largely similar; your body can mostly only feel the temperature differences.
