The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly. **Facilities** We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish. **Cleanliness** It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed. **Dining** The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead. **Surroundings** It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation. **Summary** High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

The room is as clean and bright as in the photo. The hot spring pool and swimming pool are very good. The children can't stop playing. Easy to wash clothes. Breakfast is rich and friendly to children. Close to the airport, I often see planes flying over. The children feel cool and there is no flight at night. The environment is very quiet. Mangshi is not big. It takes ten minutes to drive from the hotel to the attractions or eat. Very cost-effective hotel is highly recommended.

Coming to Xishuangbanna in December was perfect weather-wise. On the last day of my trip, before flying back north, I decided to spend a day at the hot springs. I chose the Ganlu room, which has pure hydrogen sulfide hot springs – definitely a sulfuric smell, but after soaking, my skin felt incredibly smooth, and I slept like a baby. Besides the private bath, there are also three small public hot spring pools and one large one. The butler mentioned that this area was originally a hot spring site. In the Peacock Valley courtyard, there are about 5-6 peacocks and a little calico cat. Breakfast is complimentary, and the environment is very comfortable. The only downside is that the road to the village is quite remote; I thought I had taken a wrong turn at one point.

Staying at the InterContinental Kunming, my overall experience had both clear strengths and weaknesses. **What I Liked:** 1. **Exceptional Service:** From the concierge to the front desk and restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly friendly, proactive, and professional. This was definitely the highlight of my stay. 2. **Great Ambiance & Environment:** The hotel's public areas and gardens are beautifully maintained. The lobby is grand, and a stroll through the garden is very pleasant. The rooms were also very quiet. 3. **Pleasant Amenities:** The shampoo and shower gel in the room were surprisingly good quality, exceeding my expectations – a nice little bonus. **Areas for Improvement:** 1. **Slightly Dated Facilities:** Some of the room equipment and decor definitely show their age, as mentioned in other reviews. However, this didn't affect the cleanliness. 2. **Missed Package Inclusions:** My booking clearly stated a ”RMB 398 double buffet dinner” and a ”RMB 130 voucher.” Yet, upon check-in, the front desk didn't mention these or provide any vouchers. I only received them after I proactively inquired the next day. Had I not been diligent, I would have easily missed out. I hope the hotel can proactively and clearly confirm package details during check-in to avoid inconveniencing guests. **Summary & Recommendations:** This is a hotel that truly excels in service. If excellent service, a pleasant environment, and a general resort feel are important to you, this is a good choice. However, if you are very particular about the newness of room facilities, or if you've booked a package with extra benefits, I recommend: * Lowering your expectations regarding the room's hardware. * During check-in, make sure to actively and immediately verify all items included in your package to ensure you receive your entitlements. I hope the hotel can further optimize its procedural details to make the guest experience even more seamless and perfect.

The rooms have an old-fashioned, 'cadre' style, but the outdoor environment is truly beautiful. The hotel even has swans and squirrels that you can feed. The hot spring is also very good. The service is nice, and breakfast is plentiful. If it weren't for the high price of a five-star hotel, I'd love to come and stay here for the winter. Unlimited single-person access to the Lake Spring Mid-Mountain Hot Spring, open from 9 AM to 11:30 PM, very comfortable. Service: Free shuttle bus service within the resort to and from the restaurant and hot spring.

My sister recommended this riverside hot spring hotel, and I didn't want to leave! ✨ My Room: ✔️ Superb River View Room The window is like a painting 🖼️ I could see the Mekong River and the boats passing by 🛳️ right from my bed. ✔️ Clean and Comfortable The bedding was soft, the air conditioning worked great, and the toiletries were complete 🧴 (unlike some B&Bs where the photos are deceiving 😅). /// 📍 Location is unbeatable: ➡️ Just downstairs from the Starlight Night Market 🌟. You can go down anytime you're hungry at night. ➡️ A 5-minute walk to the Great Golden Pagoda. ➡️ Free airport pick-up service. The driver contacted us in advance, which was very reassuring 🚗. /// 📸 Photo Spots I Tested: 1️⃣ Balcony + River View (amazing in the evening) 2️⃣ Hot Spring Pool (beautiful lights at night ✨) 3️⃣ By the room window (like a fairyland when there's morning mist) /// 💡 Check-in Tips: ✅ Bring your swimsuit! The rooftop pool is free 👙. ✅ The night market closes late, so if you're worried about noise, ask for a room facing away from the street. ✅ The hotel has an elevator, so no need to carry your luggage 🛄. ✅ It's convenient to rent an electric scooter nearby 🛵. No need to rush from one sight to another. You can enjoy the laid-back vibe of Xishuangbanna right from your room 🏝️. Watching the river during the day and soaking in the hot spring at night – now THIS is a vacation!

This time I stayed in Mangshi because the hotel experience exceeded expectations, and the overall warmth and design. The hotel's log style is very healing, the green plants and soft decoration in the public area are exquisite, the infinity pool on the roof is facing the Yuhuan Shwedagon Pagoda, and the sunset is beautiful in the evening, and the photos are very good. The room was clean and tidy, the lighting was good, the bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was dry and wet, and the details were in place. The service is warm and intimate, the butler is gentle, free pick-up and drop-off is provided, and the tour route is also actively recommended. Breakfast has local special rice noodles and authentic taste. Convenient location, close to attractions, convenient travel. Cost-effective, is the best choice for Mangshi holiday, will choose here next time, recommend it to everyone!

The staff was enthusiastic and took the initiative to help with luggage, introduce us to local specialties, attractions, food, etc. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the night was very quiet and the bedding was very good. The hotel also had a free self-service laundry room. It was very convenient. The hot spring on the roof at night can eliminate the fatigue of the day. I choose this one for business trips here. The price is very high.

The hotel service, especially the lobby manager Sui Sui, was absolutely phenomenal! She was warm, professional, approachable, and incredibly responsive to all our requests. Plus, she's a truly beautiful young lady. We stayed for a week and had an amazing experience. The service was impeccable, and the hotel environment was great too. Its location is excellent, very close to Gaozhuang Night Market, and convenient for self-drivers with easy parking. We'll definitely stay here again next time. They even prepared a cake ceremony for my husband's birthday, which was such a wonderful surprise! Thank you, Manager Sui Sui!

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

GGuest UserThe room is small but genuinely comfortable. We chose the Pullman at the foot of the snow-capped mountains for our family trip during the Spring Festival. Although this hotel is a bit old, the quality is still pretty good. For this price, plus the service and the views, it's really top-notch. I saw mixed reviews online before booking, but our actual stay was truly excellent. The butler added me on WeChat a day in advance to ask about any pre-arrangements needed. For example, I asked them to turn on the heating and set up children's amenities. When we arrived, the room was already warm, and the kids' items were neatly arranged. It definitely has five-star quality. The only minor drawback might be that some room facilities are a bit dated, but it didn't impact our stay. The TV was also connected to the internet, so the kids could watch their favorite shows, which was great.

The staff helped us with our luggage to our room, which was a nice touch. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room had a unique charm, and the heating and hot water were plentiful. The young owner was also incredibly hospitable; I even saw him sharing champagne with some guests during their meal – it truly felt like a harmonious place. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and in the morning, you can catch the stunning 'Golden Mountain' sunrise over Shika Snow Mountain. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

MM55355****Cangshan No. 1 is a hotel with advanced concepts. The management model is a team of butlers who create a feeling of home for guests and think of everything in front of them. The environment is beautiful and beautiful, with swimming pools, white beaches, coconut trees... creating a different paradise. Every employee has a strong sense of priority and their service attitude is excellent, gentle and comfortable. Not only did he take the initiative to inquire, but he also introduced the characteristics and customs of the Bai people in a very thoughtful way. The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own bathing pool, dry and wet are separated, and even the toilet is fully automatic. Very clean! Breakfast and afternoon tea are richly prepared and have local characteristics. There is also a heart-warming evening sweet soup every night. My family and I felt that choosing Cangshan No. 1 for this trip was a great value!

__WeChat251062****This was my first time visiting Dali for hot springs, so of course, I had to choose the most famous one. I booked a new Bai-style guesthouse with a private hot spring pool. The private hot spring pool offers 24-hour hot spring water service. You can adjust the flow of both cold and hot water using two valves. Both have strong flow, so the tub fills up quickly. Once you've set it, you can just relax and enjoy your soak! The hotel package included hot spring tickets, water park access, and a bonfire party. At the water park, I tried the water slide and the wave pool. Zooming down the water slide on a mat was quite exhilarating. The waves were strongest at the edge of the wave pool, and I spent half an hour there. There are many hot spring pools, offering various styles, but they're largely similar; your body can mostly only feel the temperature differences.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is absolutely lovely! My family recommended it to us, and it truly lived up to their praise. The location is fantastic! It's nestled within the Shuanglang Ancient Town, offering a peaceful retreat while still providing stunning views of Erhai Lake. Breakfast: Healthy and plentiful, with milk, soy milk, coffee, plus a pre-arranged healthy meal that changes daily – really well done! The service from the auntie was also excellent; she even thoughtfully packed up food for our baby who wasn't awake yet. Thank you! Bed: Just the right firmness, very comfortable! Restaurant: A very photogenic spot, great for taking pictures. Parking: There's a parking lot, and the butler will pick you up with a car and help with luggage. Very convenient! Room Facilities: Not brand new, but clean and hygienic, perfectly adequate. The heating was also very good! You can directly feed the seagulls and watch the sunset from the balcony, and enjoy the sun in the afternoon! Afternoon Tea: Includes fruits, desserts, coffee, and fruit tea! Travel Photography: The collaborating photographer is quite skilled, with good equipment, and the post-editing is excellent! Definitely worth it! They're also great at capturing emotions and getting the right shots! WiFi: Available! Butler Service: The one-on-one service is incredibly attentive. Although most are male butlers, they are genuinely polite, prompt, thoughtful, and wonderful. They even say hello online after their shift and provide other contact methods to avoid any handover issues. Truly excellent! Our butler, Liujin, deserves extra praise! I've already recommended it to my friends; it's really great!
