Hot spring Hotels in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

I have stayed in hotels of this brand many times, and basically there is nothing I can fault except that the rooms are a little smaller.  In addition to the hot springs on the top floor, there are also free ice cream bars and drinks, as well as free massage chairs (15mins), which is really enjoyable! This onsen hotel is well located within 5 mins walk from the bus and train stations. The only challenge we encountered was pulling the luggage up the slope leading to the hotel. The hotel has a modern feel but with traditional settings and services. The room we had was ample for us. While the breakfast was a standard buffet style meal, the kaiseki dinner was fantastic. We had different food and selection for the two dinners we had there. The onsen was great with different pools with different minerals both indoors and outdoors. I only tried the onsen which is opened to the public and I am thoroughly happy with them. There are also saunas in the same area. There is a smaller onsen only for hotel guests but are open only for selected hours. We took a day trip to Kobe city and although there are a couple of changes of trains we have to make, it was rather effortless. Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel, its room, food and location.

It’s my second time to visit this hot spring resort. I had good time again.It’s great service as my first time experience. I had the 精進料理 for dinner. The waitress told me the name of the vegetable ,how did the chief cook it and what’s the benefit of my healthy.I really enjoy my birthday vegan dinner. There are two rooms and one yard next to my private bath room. I can see the bird in the yard and enjoy my bath in the room. Great staff , Nice room and definitely will come back again.這次是第二次造訪，因為第一次體驗很好所以選擇生日時候來這裡度假放鬆。餐點是精進料理，女服務生對於蔬菜的解說很詳細，我感受到日本人的文化及專業的服務。很享受的生日晚宴。房間裡包含有日式房跟洋式房及一間私人庭院泡澡浴缸及庭院。早晨拉開紙門可以看到庭院的鳥兒叫，陽光透過樹葉灑落在榻榻米上，喝杯茶走到庭院感受有馬山林的空氣，有淡淡的竹子味道，還可以在自己的浴缸看到綠意的庭院，享受早晨的寧靜。當然早餐也是很棒的享受，健康飲食讓身體沒有負擔，整個人可以沈澱的心靈跟身體的resort.感覺很好還會再來。

Located on the south side of Himeji Station, 5 minutes walk and the natural hot spring bath are ribmax premium hotel in Uri. The hotel name is not listed in the appearance and may be a little difficult to understand. The hotel Nikko Himeji, which stands south of Himeji Station, is a marker, and if you pass under the hotel on the first floor, you can find the hotel in front of you immediately. There are several coin parking in front of the hotel because it is in front of Himeji station. It is not available for free. There is a coin parking at the lowest price of \600- a day, about 5 minutes walk. I think it is a satisfactory hotel in that access is good and you can enjoy a large bath and breakfast at a relatively reasonable price setting. The staff is not available or not. 部屋に露天風呂付き、朝夕部屋食でこの宿を選びました。 この条件としては他のホテルに比べとても安くてお得感がありました。 部屋での食事は工夫されていておいしく、また係りの方も丁寧で良いです。 フロントにはありましたが、部屋にアルコールスプレーが置かれていないのは残念でした。 部屋の露天風呂は大きな開き戸を全開すると天井はありますが露天風呂になります。半露天かな。ラドン温泉水は常時注ぎ込まれており、バスタブは深く広く夫婦と子供2人の4人くらいなら一度に入れるくらいの大きさでとても開放感があります。 部屋にはその浴槽1つのみで、身体の洗い場スペースもあります。 その開放された窓からの景色はすばらしく、川向こうの山の爽やかな緑一面なのでとてもリラックスできます。鴻朧館のHPのトップにある景色そのままでした。 さらに高価格の宿と比較すると設備で高級感は少し劣りますが、有馬の他の宿は街中にあるのでこの景色は臨めないでしょう。 大浴場は行っていませんがコロナ前には小さい缶ビールも無料提供されていました。現在は中止中でした。川沿いに金泉のお風呂もあります。 駅からはシャトルバスがあり、川沿いを少し上ると意外と混んでいるマス釣り場や滝があります。

We had a wonderful 1 night stay a few months ago before tourism opened back up. Highly recommend this place for people who are into more private, chill time. Loved the concept of this ryokan because instead of shared baths there were numerous choices of private baths throughout the property! Each needed to be booked in advance for a 45 minute session. They had an online reservation system but I think it was only in Japanese (my husband's native language) so I can't comment on that. Our room was fantastic; modern and huge, but still had charm. I think we were in Suite 13 which had its own private bath which you could open up the huge windows to a nice tranquil view of greenery. I liked that the entry had a super long hallway which helped with any noise (so quiet!). Personal touches such as selecting a complimentary gift (small drawstring bag) and fruit tray was noticed and appreciated. They were also very helpful to find us a restaurant to eat dinner at on a Sunday night (since we opted to not have the course dinner) - it was a delightful local meal ran by a married couple! I wish I remembered the name but it was izakaya home cooking style and so delicious. The breakfast on property was AWESOME. I opted to get the Western Style and my husband the Japanese. Such presentation and variety and a perfect start to our day. We would definitely be back to visit this place. They made us feel very welcome and relaxed! Arigatou gozaimasu *bow*

最高の旅館です。接客してくださるかた皆様、つねに笑顔で対応、丁寧、気が利く、優しい…全てにおいて満足でした。ロビーの方の対応も、ビュッフェ会場での対応も最高です。２連泊したのですが、１泊目とメニューも変えてくださりとてもありがたかったです。竹蒸しのお肉も、２日目の鉄板焼も、ビュッフェの１品１品も手作りでどれも美味しかったです。天ぷらは目の前で揚げてくれてて出来立てが食べれます。 鮭やワカメの混ぜご飯美味しかったです。朝食も全て美味しいです。和洋のビュッフェでした。朝から満腹になりました。そして、客層も皆様静かでザワザワしていなくてとても居心地が良かったです。温泉も金泉気持ち良かったです。３種類あって飽きないです。旅館が広いので清掃大変そうですが行き届いてます。姉妹館をつなぐ橋から見る川も素敵です。部屋のトイレ新しく綺麗です。何よりやっぱりスタッフの方の対応が本当に素敵で、宿泊できて良かったです。ありがとうございました！

JR Himeji Station, walk south for a while and you'll be there. There is everything near the station, which is very convenient. You can also visit the outside baths, so it might be a good idea to enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. I don't know. The view from the room was on the opposite side of the river, so I could only see the back of the building, but the four-person room was divided into a Western-style room on the first floor and a Japanese-style room on the second floor, so it was a relaxing stay. Dinner and breakfast were buffets, and there was quite a lot of variety. Since the restaurant was fully booked, more dishes were added one after another, so there was never a time when I couldn't get what I wanted. For dessert, there was also soft serve ice cream, which the kids were happy with. After deciding to stay at Kinosaki Onsen, I was torn between choosing a small ryokan, but in the end I think it was a good value for money.

The room we received has no view of the Maruyama river or garden, although it is advertised as such in pictures and descriptions on website. Our rooms had a view of the parking lot and the road, which the front desk referred to as a ”mountain” view. I'm sorry, but this just isn't a good practice. You MUST make this as a different type of room with different price and let customers decide the value. I would not have booked if I had known this. There is also another small problem. The dinner was overall quite good, but I saw some other customers received different dinners with the full snow crab and sake. We received part of a snow crab and cheap white wine. I am confused. It would help to have an explanation. Otherwise I can't help but feel these problems are because I am not a Japanese customer.

It seems to be the oldest inn in Kinosaki, and it was wonderful with a very atmospheric interior. All meals were served in the room, and the room attendant was very cute, polite and warm. The employees, including Mr. Gonzaemon of the sister inn, were very polite and comfortable. Because it is near the ropeway platform, there are few tourists, so it was relatively quiet. Even the farthest part of the tour of the hot springs wasn't too far away (about 15 minutes on foot in clogs?), and it wasn't too hard to see the streets of Kinosaki and there were various shops. I definitely want to go again!

My wife and I had a relaxing holiday recently and a great experience at the Kawaguchiya Kinosaki Riverside Hotel. We took a train from Shin Osaka Station (2.5 hour) and a slow walk from the station to Kawaguchiya. (If you are following our route, when you reach the river, Turn Right and walk to the end of the road where you will arrive at a T junction, Turn Left. You will see a Idemitsu gas station, the hotel is just right opposite). The weather was cool that day and the town was quite thin in traffic. Check in was quite strict at 3.00pm, so we wandered out for a ramen lunch before returning again to check in. We had a Japanese room which looked out to Higashiyama Park and a view of the autumn leaves. We’d booked a half board package. The kaiseki dinner was elaborate and stunning - visually stimulating and delicious. Breakfast was equally well presented. Before dinner we’d put on the yukata robe and the geta clogs, took a walk to the onsen bath (Satono-yu) next to the train station. The geta is very uncomfortable but quite a fun experience walking round town in the Japanese attire. Staff are friendly and helpful. We’d requested for a adapter. The reception staff initially told us they don’t have any. We tried again and show them images of adapters and they came back with two boxes of adapters for us to choose. Overall we had a fun time and a relaxing holiday at Kawaguchiya.

The hotel has been converted to a restaurant for half a year ago. There is no room for meals. Those who are concerned can consult Ctrip customer service first. The room was useless, in fact, the town hot spring pass is only 1,200 yen per person, and I think the hotel price is a bit high. Catering was futile, set meals, and there was no particularly amazing feeling. Maybe we were expecting too much. The hotel's own hot spring is not bad. Also, the best Onoyu in the 7 hot springs in town is under maintenance and will not be open for the time being. It is also necessary to know the opening time in advance. I have lived in the Fukuzuku building in Hakone. I feel that the service and hot spring experience are much better than those of Kinosaki. The kaiseki cuisine in the room is also very ritual.

The building is a bit old but clean. Of course, credit cards are also available. The hot spring has ２ inner hot water (both men and women １ one), ２ open-air bath (both men and women １ one), and it is a change system, so you can enter ４ types in all. The １ of the open-air baths need to walk up to different floors, so the person who is inconvenient may be a little bit hard about it. (The scenery is very good) The outer bath ticket can be used even after checking out (15:30) and is very convenient. It's a little off the hot spring town, but it's not as painful to walk (it takes about 10 minutes to walk, so it may be hard for people who can't get used to shoes or geta). There are few restaurants near the hotel, and if you don't eat at the hotel, you need to go out to the hot spring town. Liquor such as beer is sold at the hotel, but it is expensive to buy it in the hotel. There is also a transfer car operated by the hotel, and the transfer from JR Shirosaki station is convenient. If you want to use it, please check the time zone well. (The hot spring town was also available in the evening) Please note that the underground facilities are closed due to the new corona virus infection (2020 ８ month). The room also has a refrigerator, washbasin, toilet and bath, but the bath is quite small (I think I won't use it much because I use hot spring towns and hotel public baths). This time I used a plan with lunch box. I think it was very cost-effective with lunch boxes in the morning and evening at １ million yen.

Location: very near to the rest of the onsen. Service: I booked this hotel as it was marketed as “kids friendly” onsen hotel on various websites, and kids yukata are available etc. I was told by the staff that kids yukata needs to pay a separate fee of JPY300 per set. Meals are strictly 1 hour only. They will collect the food once the time is up, regardless if you are done or not. I’ve got 2 toddlers and I struggle to meet the 1 hour timeline of feeding them plus myself. Unfortunately my food was cleared before I can finish them. Rooms: Rooms are ok, nothing worth mentioning. Onsen is small.

豊岡から城崎温泉を通り約10kmの場所に立地、円山川に架かる橋を渡ったら右に曲がり円山川沿いの狭い道を抜けると建物が見えてくる。他の方々も書かれている通りバブル期のリゾートマンションの空部屋をホテルとして宿泊者を受け入れている、なので部屋所有のオーナーもおり駐車場にはオーナー名の看板が立っているので駐車場に車を停める時には要注意。建物はフロントや大浴場・客室のあるウェストラドと地下駐車場・客室のあるイーストラドの2棟、建物の古さは否めないが部屋はリニューアルされている。部屋は2人から4人用の和洋室、リゾートマンションなので浴室・トイレ以外にもキッチンが有りかなり広い、wifiはダウン・アップ共に高速度。こうのとり天然温泉と名うった大浴場はウェストラドの地下1階にあるのでイーストラド宿泊者は渡り通路を通って行く必要があり少々手間。大浴場の脱衣場ロッカーは28個、但し昨今の状況から入浴人数を規制する為に1/3はクローズ。浴室の洗い場は6個で立ちシャワーは2個、浴槽は6人程度が入れる、サウナはあるが水風呂はない、尚サウナは昨今の状況下 使用停止となっていた。お湯は温泉、海が近い為に少々塩っぱい。夕食と朝食共に部屋食、夕食はメインの但馬牛の鍋板焼き・豚パイタン鍋と刺身・天ぷら・茶碗蒸し等々、ご飯・朝出し・ムースのデザートが…思っていたよりボリュームがありお腹が一杯になりました。朝食は魚の塩焼き・玉子焼き等々と御飯・あさりの味噌汁、品数はまあまあ。尚、周りにコンビニやスーパーがないのでホテルの食事以外に食べ物や飲み物が必要な場合は予め豊岡のスーパーや途中のコンビニで購入する必要がある。ソフトドリンクやビールの自販機はあるがビールのみ少々値段が高い。

A very authentic Japanese experience! Plus I booked a kaiseki dinner, which was delicious and unusual for a European person. The food was very fresh and beautifully served. Used public and private onsen of the ryokan, both were nice.
