This hotel is one of the best I have ever stay! The staffs are really polite and friendly! They can speak English! They provide soaps for babies & also provide child’s pajamas which I can let my child wear when going to the onsen area before changing out. The supper ramen is really yummy N the breakfast is incredible, it’s really comprehensive! They have different onsen pools. Also they have massage chairs & snacks provided outside the onsen area! Very recommended!

We booked the modern Japanese-style room, and our child absolutely loved rolling around on the tatami mats. The hotel's onsen (hot spring) was very clean. The only minor drawback was the soundproofing; there's a hospital nearby, so emergency ambulances often drove by at night, and I was woken up several times by their sirens. Overall, this hotel is still quite good, very close to Kyoto Station, and there are multiple bus lines right outside the hotel entrance.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel! The top floor features a lounge with stunning views, where you can catch the sunset and the entire Kyoto nightscape in the evening. The surrounding area is packed with dining and drinking options – you'll never have to worry about finding food. In fact, it's so incredibly convenient to eat out that the only challenge is deciding among so many delicious choices! There are also many charming little shops nearby, yet the area isn't noisy or chaotic, creating a truly pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Transportation is excellent, too. I particularly enjoyed the drinks and beer in the lounge; sipping one while watching the sunset in the evening was pure bliss. The hot springs were also excellent. It offers superb value for money, and I will definitely be back!

First off, the location is excellent, right across from Hankyu Arashiyama. We came from Kyoto, and there's a direct bus from our Kyoto hotel, so we took the bus. We checked in at 3 PM, dropped off our luggage, and then went to explore around Togetsukyo Bridge. We also had tickets for the Arashiyama Scenic Railway at 2:30 PM.
For dinner, we had two time slots, 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM; we chose 5:30 PM, and the dinner was fantastic. The hotel also offers a late-night snack. The private onsen baths were busy at night, so we opted for the public bath, which was empty since we went early. The next morning, we chose a private bath. This stay included two meals, and we had plenty of time, so it truly felt like a vacation. Oh, and there's a tea bar on the first floor; I love mocha or cocoa. After the evening bath, there are popsicles, and after the morning bath, there's lactic acid drink. It's wonderful!

Hotel ALa in Kyoto was a delightful surprise during my trip. The pictures made it look quite ordinary, but upon checking in, I found it to be understated yet elegant. The hotel is conveniently located near the station, and there's a 7-Eleven right across the street with a great selection of beers. The miniature dry landscape gardens (Karesansui) on each floor were a pleasure to look at, and the natural hot spring, 'Gokou no Yu', was incredibly relaxing and free for guests to use. My room even had a small window view that was absolutely stunning when I opened the curtains in the morning.
I highly recommend the sukiyaki at the hotel; the beef was tender and delicious, and the portion was generous. A lovely staff member even helped serve it, and the accompanying fruit was surprisingly good. I stayed for three nights, slept comfortably, and had a wonderful time. Many thanks to the entire hotel team; their hard work made my sightseeing experience even more enjoyable.

The hotel offers a unique charm right from the entrance: guests are invited to remove their shoes and enjoy the barefoot-friendly environment. Instead of modern key cards, you receive a traditional key attached to a wooden tag, which adds a wonderful sense of ritual and nostalgia. The amenities are diverse and impressive. Complimentary tea and coffee are available, and the communal baths are luxurious and impeccably clean. For a more private experience, there are five uniquely styled private baths to choose from. The hotel also thoughtfully provides board games; my friend and I borrowed a Shogi set. Playing on the tatami mats, we found ourselves utterly engrossed, completely losing track of time. It was a truly immersive and dreamlike experience, creating a wonderfully profound atmosphere.
This is the place where I stayed in Kyoto on the first day with my mom and youngest sibling.
My mom, who is picky about any accommodation, said it was really nice as soon as she entered the room. There was a table next to the bed, so she liked it when I bought food from a convenience store and drank beer. However, the air conditioner was a fan type, but it was a bit chilly in February, so she said it would have been nice to have an electric blanket. I hung up towels because I thought it would be dry.
As for the hot spring, I think you can think of it as just a bathtub filled with water. The water was hot, which was nice. There was nothing special about it.
The breakfast was really great. It was a bit expensive, but there were a lot of options and it was delicious. I don't know if it was because we went a little early, or if they had time to prepare it, or if they served it when we arrived, but it was nice to be able to eat rice and soup warm.
The garden was smaller than I thought.
I chose this hotel for my trip to Amanohashidate. Aside from being a bit far and inconvenient without a car, everything else was fine. It offers great value for money; the decor is a bit old but very well maintained. There's just one thing I hope they can improve: when checking in, perhaps they could ask if guests need help laying out the futon. I ended up sweating after trying to put on the duvet cover myself, making my shower a bit pointless. It would be helpful to offer assistance for those unfamiliar with setting up Japanese futons.

Everything is wonderful. The service is very considerate. The counter kindly directed me where to buy bubble wrap so that I could send the package smoothly. There is a gift of jelly in the fridge and the ramen provided for midnight snack is also delicious. Thanks to Dormy Inn , I had a great time in Kyoto.

Nice neighbourhood, with familymart just steps away from the house. Great house with hotspring. Enjoyed the evening with families. Had a good breakfast provided by the hotel. If we have enough time, would like to explore the neighbourhood in the daytime next time. Great stay.

DDreamscomeTrueVery nice ambience and a new luxurious hotel in Kyoto close to the 清水寺。 Restaurant choices are quite limited inside the hotel complex but they have got a great spa with excellent service staff. Down the hill should be some international restaurants at Park Hyatt Kyoto another luxurious five star hotel. Breakfast bento boxes not too appetising and not much food selections for in room dining as well. But the neighbourhood was quiet and nice.

Very Good
DDmitry NateWe stayed at this guest house in early March. We were delighted! The guest house is located near the bus stop, you can walk and enjoy the views of the village. There is also a transfer. The dinner was simply gorgeous, delicious miso, a large selection of vegetables and broths. Breakfast was also good, although not so varied. Very beautiful garden. The guest house itself is in a traditional style 😍 the owner gave us instructions and a tour, was very polite and friendly. The guest house has some rules, for example, keeping quiet, which creates an atmosphere of complete relaxation. The room itself is clean, the bed linen is fresh, there are instructions on how to lay out the futon. We were given yukatas and warm sweaters, towels and accessories for washing and brushing teeth. There are hair dryers too. There are two onsen, male and female, they alternate to visit each. When we were there, the onsen opened on schedule, but there is enough time to stay. The barrel with hot water is simply gorgeous, in the open air, around the forest. It is forbidden to take photos and videos on the onsen territory. Sorry for breaking the rules, but I wanted to capture this beauty at a time when no one was there. The only thing I missed was some kind of bench next to the onsen in the open air so that you could cool off and sit in the hot water again. But this is probably a purely Russian habit.
We were very pleased with our stay in this guest house.
GGuest UserThe hotel is next to Sanzen-in Temple, and is a Japanese inn style. It was a bit cold to stay at night in December. The area is not large. I wanted to see the red leaves of Sanzen-in Temple, but they were almost fallen when I arrived on the 5th. If you want to experience it, just stay for one night. Overall, it is not as convenient and comfortable as a star hotel. Breakfast and dinner are not bad, but not amazing. Take it as a Japanese cultural experience.

AAnonymous UserA perfect experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right near the subway station.
The annex has a dedicated check-in area, and they offer Chinese-speaking service, which is fantastic! The minibar is well-stocked with free drinks and alcohol, very generous of the hotel. The provided pajamas are also super comfortable~ Most importantly, the private onsen in the room is amazing. After a long day of exploring Kyoto on foot, relaxing in your own private bath in your room is pure bliss ❤️ 100% perfect!
GGuest UserIt wasn’t that close to the Jr station
But there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, it can take you to most the area for a tourist, like Fushimi Inari Taisha and Kiyomizu-dera
The room was clean, size also good for one person
But the hot pool wasn’t so clean, maybe during the new year holiday, there were many visitors, host didn’t clean in time, need improve

MM784559****The service was impeccable, and the accommodation environment was superb. The moment you step into the hotel, you're enveloped in a sense of peace and comfort. Our room was tastefully decorated and cozy, making it easy to fully relax. The hot spring area was a delightful surprise; the water was crystal clear, and the surroundings were beautiful. Soaking in it, all my fatigue seemed to just melt away. The staff were also incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always ready to help and making us feel genuinely cared for. Moreover, the scenery surrounding the hotel is breathtaking. A vacation here is truly a blissful experience. Highly recommended.
