Superb fuji view from the hotel itself with it’s good location. Staff are polite and nice, even with limited english we are able to communicate smoothly. They serve us well during the reception and dinner time. All the travel kits or toiletries are available with good quality, even the public onsen is available and well maintain. Good experience overall staying here.
We booked a room with a balcony and could see Mount Fuji right from there (picture 1). Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel were excellent. There are two hot springs. The 'Mantenboshi' on the first basement floor has both indoor and outdoor onsen. The 'Tenbodai' on the second floor is outdoor-only and offers panoramic views of Lake Yamanaka, which is especially delightful when it's not crowded. The hotel is located on a hill, and since we drove, it was convenient to go down to explore the lake. If you don't have a car, you might want to consider your options carefully. Swan Lake Beach is just down the hill.
Arrived on a heavy snow and my shoe were all wet. Were told that our room were not ready but the lady quickly offered me a Shoe Dryer to dry my shoe. The room were quite spacious. It has beautiful view of Mt Fuji. The onsen have the same beautiful view of Mt Fuji. 20 mins walk to the Kawaguchi station. But within 5 mins walk around the hotel, there are Lawson, restaurants and also a huge supermarket. Recommended.
Very good reservation services, I had some enquiry to the hotels through email, and get a prompt replied!
They guided me on how to book a bus to the hotel where the bus terminal is just in front of the hotel.
Room was spacious , toilet very clean with a big bathtub. However we didn’t use as we headed to the free onset which is linked to the hotel too.
Was lucky for able to get a mountain view room but Mount Fuji was too shy during my stay. And thank God it came out an hours before we board on the bus!
Will come back next time!
The hotel is quite close to the bus stop, about a 4-minute walk, but there are no convenience stores nearby. If you stay here, you'll need to book the hotel's breakfast or buy breakfast in advance. The facilities are a bit old, and it seems there are no disposable slippers, only geta (wooden clogs). However, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, with a direct view of Mount Fuji, so you can watch the sunrise right from your room in the morning. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
This room offers an absolutely stunning, unbeatable view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. You can literally lie in bed and watch the sunrise over Fuji, or enjoy a Japanese meal while taking in the scenery. It's so easy to snap amazing photos of Fuji's reflection! But all of this depends on actually being able to see Mount Fuji. After two nights, on the very last morning before checkout, during the breakfast dessert course, Mount Fuji finally emerged from behind the clouds – and the entire restaurant erupted in cheers at that moment! The staff were all very friendly. There were Chinese-speaking employees which made communication easy, and the English skills of the other staff were excellent too. One short-haired lady was particularly warm and lovely. I'd love to come back again if I get the chance.
・I think it would be better if they were a little more welcoming and didn't get hung up on appearances.
・The hot water kettle has a Japanese setting, so a foreign tourist who was having trouble using it spoke to me in English and explained how to use it.
・The parking lot should be made a little easier to understand and use.
・I'm glad that my family liked the Japanese-style room, and my child said, ”I want to go to the shrine room again.”
The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. We chose a room with windows, and the hotel gave us a corner room, so the front window offered a perfect view of Lake Kawaguchiko, and the side window overlooked Mount Fuji. The hotel also has free hot spring baths, which was a nice bonus. We also booked breakfast and dinner, and they were quite good!
We booked this stay for the in-house public hot bath and the lakeside advantage. Check-in was smooth and fast with the staff providing a lot of information, events happening nearby and the different attractions. They spoke good English and was very helpful and informative.
The room was disappointing though. It was old, no functional furnitures. The seat covers were very old and with stains. Tv was too small for the size of the room. No convenient outlet near, we used a outlet that was meant for a lamp. Bedding was comfortable though. It is based on traditional house style.
The bath was wonderful, not crowded at all. Dont think its worth the price with its current fixtures and furnishing. Unless it was the room that faces the lake but for that they will charge extra.

GGuest UserLocation: This is probably the best location in Kawaguchiko, offering an unobstructed, prime view of Mount Fuji across the lake. It's right next to the famous Ubuya Hotel.
Room: I booked what I believe is their best room type, a top-floor suite with a terrace, and it was very spacious.
Facilities: Compared to the neighboring hotels, the facilities are indeed quite ordinary, and the onsen (hot spring) is also nothing special. However, considering it's a fifth of the price of those other places, the value for money is unbeatable.
Service: There's a shuttle bus service from the hotel to Kawaguchiko Station, but you need to check the timetable in advance. Most of the staff seem to be of Indian descent? While their service attitude can't match the traditional Japanese level of meticulous politeness, it's generally okay.
Food: Buffet style, and honestly, it was very average.
Overall, for this location and value, it really has no rivals among the hotels situated along the lakefront in Kawaguchiko.

KKanoksri K.The room is a comfortable size and offers a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the corner. It is clean and well equipped, with individual air-conditioning in the room. All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. Parking is available, located a short distance from the hotel.

GGuest UserTraveling solo and don't speak the local language can be daunting, so when the front desk staff switched from English and Japanese to Chinese, it was such a relief – a truly heartwarming moment! Plus, the hotel offers a shuttle service. I actually got on the wrong bus initially, and the driver ended up making an extra trip without picking me up. But when I mentioned wanting to print photos at a Lawson convenience store about a kilometer away, they still drove me there. We had another hiccup when I realized I'd forgotten my bank card and couldn't get cash. Even after all that, when I sheepishly asked to go to Lawson again, the staff understood my predicament and took me back, which I really appreciated. The next day, even though breakfast hours were over when they took me to the station, they still made sure I got a fantastic meal. And with Mount Fuji right outside my balcony, this hotel has officially become my 'hotel for life'!
AAnonymous UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel, it exceeded my expectations!
**Facilities:** I saw some guests mention the hotel being old, but actually, the facilities are excellent. Besides the distinctive tatami rooms and rooms facing Mount Fuji, there's also the hotel's special hot spring. The outdoor bath has such a great vibe, and it's real hot spring water – my skin felt so smooth afterwards.
**Environment:** There are absolutely no issues with the hotel's environment, cleanliness, or rooms; it meets a four-star-plus standard. You can see a full view of Mount Fuji within a 3-minute walk from the hotel, with both sunrise and sunset clearly visible.
**Dining:** The hotel's breakfast isn't particularly varied; I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it. Dinner, however, is highly recommended. It offers a good variety of Japanese specialties, and many people think it's much better than eating out. Some reviews recommend the Wheat restaurant in the hotel courtyard or the restaurant across the street, but the cost-effectiveness might not live up to expectations, and the actual standard could be quite different.
**Service:** I didn't give five stars for service. The hotel's front desk offers Chinese service, and the Chinese staff are especially friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with no communication barriers. However, I was very dissatisfied with the restaurant staff, who I believe were Indian. Breakfast ends at 9:30 AM, and we thought we just needed to have our food by 9:30 AM and wouldn't get more. Instead, the server rudely told us to ”Go Out!” in an impolite manner while we were still eating our paid breakfast. These four stars are solely for the excellent front desk service.
**Additional Notes:** If you have high standards for a hotel, want a hot spring experience, and wish to be close to Mount Fuji, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland and a few minutes from Kawaguchiko Bus Terminal, which is very convenient for returning to Tokyo or other places. The front desk service is fantastic; a big thank you to the Chinese lady at the front desk.
