This is more like a moderate quality hostel than a 3 star hotel. The web site is misleading. It was clean, but there were no carpets in the hallways, just pieces of underlay, there were holes in the walls that had been roughly filled but not painted and the furniture was old but just about serviceable. You had to telephone to get in. Despite it being advertised as bed and breakfast, there was no breakfast. When I asked the owner/manager about this he said "when you completed your on-line booking it would have said 'no breakfast'". When I showed him my booking printout which made no mention of this he just said "oh". Contrary to what was advertised and was on the shiny note on the back of the bedroom door there was no wi-fi. But the shower water was hot and the towels were good.

Niece travelled over from Shetland with her partner as she was due to give birth ( she has now) at the Aberdeen Matefnity hospital. They arrived slightly early to find the place locked and had to wait around, eventually they got into thier room (see photos) ok it is a two star hotel but seriously, do this lot employ cleaners. The heating was not working, due to the state of the room and no heating I suggested a complaint was made and that they move to more suitable accommodation. They complained but were met by rude unhelpful staff, a woman, possibly the manager, who eventually replied saying the heating did work. They asked for a refund and to date there has been no further contact from this woman I am led to believe this may owned by Nigerians. Personally I think environmental health should be made aware and a full descriptive post on Trip advisor, I would hate for tourist to think that this is the standard of accommodation available in Scotland. Absolute disgrace Broken bed Mould in bathroom Dust lots Drug remnants in drawer Toilet brush ...let's not go there. Cobwebs Bedding, not even sure if it was changed.

They didn’t have our pre-paid reservation when we arrived. I should have taken that as a sign to go somewhere else and figure out reimbursement later, but we stayed. Barely slept with other guests shouting in the hallways at night.

This place is nothing like the description on the website. We arrived a little early for check-in and found both gates for parking at the property locked. The Rosemount sits on a very busy junction so finding somewhere else to park was a challenge. Eventually parked and went to the entry door, which was locked. There was a sign with instructions to phone if the door is locked so tried several times and got no answer. Had to move the car and decided to park in one of the driveways. Eventually a male approached us and said we couldn't park there. He didn't advise us that he actually worked at the Rosemount. We explained we had a booking, which he didn't seem to believe. Told him the door was locked and he responded with "did you phone the number". He reluctantly opened a gate for us to park and unlocked the front door at 3.00pm, even though it is meant to open at 2.30pm. We checked in and said our booking was 6 nights with breakfast. He replied it didn't include breakfast until I told him I had confirmation that it did. He emphasised there was no cooked breakfast. Our room felt like a dungeon, with a lot of road noise. The basin/cupboard had been hacksawed to fit. We decided we could not stay so tried to get internet connection to find suitable accommodation. No internet, so went to the front desk and spoke to the same male. He couldn't get me connected and eventually gave me a Huawei connection which, thankfully, didn’t work either. We drove and found a suitable hotel and checked out of the Rosemount 2 hours after arriving. The breakfast, so called restaurant area, is uninviting and the garden non-existent. No refund for the 1st night.

The rosemount was difficult to find on a wet windy night had i known it was a church(still is) not lit no signs on tbe road the barrier was shut so you have to open/close it.difficult on a road right on the lights next to a bus stop.going into yhe building is like sn institution wired glass ect big canteen that you dont use no food at all available.i was booked into the executive plus suite! Quite a big lounge large tv only 4 channels 2 settes dining table microwave.bathroom.bath dificult to access! Double bedroom on door has a big tv bed strange very dense maybe memory foam it has to be said its all very clean but for over £100 night No breakfast of any kind No bar or restaurant No film channels website says breakfast and films Says its 3 star!!!!! Bit of a creepy old church not very welcoming think it might be intimidating for lone women It needs the barrier leaving open.it needslighting outside and a name on the road entranc It needs full breakfast menu It needs at least freeview or sky on the tv Wi fi not sure about that

Everything good apart from the continental breakfast that is not good, especially that you have to eat it in your room on a tray and everything is extremely cheap and cheerful. A bit of toast and some egg is not much to ask for :)

Unexpected site when arrived, was a bit shocked. Welcomed by the loveliest lady, she told us everything we needed to know and was very friendly. All the other staff were very nice too and helpful. Our room was upstairs and it was quaint but nice...the bed, although creaky due to being metal , was very comfortable and slept like a baby... Good enough for the price we paid. Breakfast could do with some improvement, but it was enough to fill us up. Overall would stay again if on a budget.

This is not a 5 star hotel so i think some of the reviews are harsh. Had a pleasant 2 night stay. The worst thing i can say is the metal bed frame creaked.. Breakfast is very basic but free. The staff were lovely and always helpful when we needed anything. We needed medication refrigerated and they didn't hesitate to help. Comfortable quiet stay with decent shower and tea and coffee in room
