Stop over for one night - Faultless. Check inn was very welcoming. Room was lovely, light and fresh. Lunch, evening meal and breakfast were all excellent… Friendly and attentive staff. The building was clean inside and out, all round faultless experience Not been since it was Simpson’s, would definitely recommend the experience

Told that I didn’t have a “proper name” during check in, left empty used milk jug in the room - weird beeping throughout the night that the staff couldn’t figure out.
Lovely room - just the small things you’d expect to be right weren’t.

Stayed one night in the McKenzie Suite as a birthday treat for my OH. The suite was lovely, it was spacious, clean and really nicely decorated. Although the weather was cold it was a really nice touch to have the patio doors out from the lounge area of the suite. The bathroom was big and had a great shower as well as a bath with a good selection of toiletries. Our only complaint and it is the only one is the mattress on the bed is very hard, so much so that it did impact our sleep quality but the rest of the room more than make up for this. The breakfast also was really good a big selection of food with great service. We have stayed at the Chester a few years back for a birthday treat but were not impressed at all by the service preferring to use another close by hotel for birthday treats but I am glad to say the service could not have been better this time and we will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel that oozes quality, all the staff we met over our two day stay were helpful and friendly would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Aberdeen

Went for dinner with friends on Saturday night. It was brilliant from start to finish. Particularly pleased with the starters and mains. The service was great too. Especially pleasing given some of the reviews but we couldn't fault a thing. Will definitely go again
