This is a very tired place that needs refurbishment. Parts of the hotel have been refurbished like the bar restaurant area. The pool area looks tired and isn't that great. My room was very brown. Carpet, furniture and curtains all brown straight from the 80s. The exterior of the hotel is horribly pebble dash concrete and the car park needs redoing. There's also a charge for parking which doesn't make any sense as the car park is huge. I had evening meals in the hotel, and I was very impressed with the quality. Equally as good as any of the city centre restaurants. If the hotel would complete the entire hotel refurbishment to the same standard and design as the bar and restaurant, it would bring it up to same as many other hotels around Aberdeen. But for me, it's just too tired now compared to other hotels around of similar prices.
