Stayed on 1st Oct for an overnight stay whilst visiting the P&J. The man on reception who checked us in barely spoke a word. Noticed the few couples in front getting complimentary drinks and we were not offered (oh well). Room was fine but was rather dusty, however when you pay £48 for a room I wasn’t expecting glam. Stains in the sinks & toilet, uncomfortable bed and only 1 pillow for a double bed. Once in bed realised the bedding was ripped on the underside - therefore cleaners tried to hide it. Was quite a cold sleep in the end.. Decided to grab a bite to eat down in the bar. Lady at bar forgot to put on a pizza (flavoured bread) for our table therefore one party member was left waiting an extra 25 mins when she promised “5” . Therefore we were nearly late for our show. Upon checkout again it was slow, however when checking my bank account when I had already got home, I’d been charged twice for the room even though my receipt says for 1 only. Was charged £10 for parking even though signs say £5. Was given no explanation from reception staff. Trying to contact the hotel for refund but can’t get through (not surprised). Will keep trying!! Shame because the hotel looks nice & quirky however you do get what you pay for and no more.

Breakfast finishes at 9.30, if you arrive at 9.20 and there’s no scrambled eggs left, they won’t make any more! I asked at 9.22 and was told no because it was 9.30 (it was still 9.22 on my iPhone) the bad thing is that the breakfast only consists of sausage, folded up very greasy bacon, beans and scrambled egg if your there before 9.20. Ps I was in rm 301 and although the WiFi was showing full on my phone, I couldn’t get anything until I went back on my 4G

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights midweek .we had a family room on the 4 th floor the room was large with a super king size bed and a single bed both were very comfortable There was plenty storage space and a work desk tea and coffee provided too ! Clean bathroom with good power shower and plenty towels ! Breakfast was good standard and buffet style ! The only 2 complaints I have is the very creaky floorboards in the room and the parking was dog eat dog ! Overall we had a pleasant stay and would return again for good deal !

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family whilst my husband was working. The entrance to the hotel was lovely, a beautiful aroma in the air and very helpful staff on the reception. On entrance to the lifts, everything seemed clean and fresh. The rooms were large. We had a double and a single bed, and still had plenty room for a pram and our bags. The shower was powerful and hot which was lovely and fresh towels each day. There was a kettle with plenty tea/coffee to choose from. The beds were comfortable. There was a heating/air con remote however regardless of what we did, the room cooled at night time, waking our little one who likes to be snug as a bug. After night one, I left the room for it to be made up and although the room was cleaned - the bed was “thrown”together the way I could have done it myself. None of the covers were “tidied” under, making it like a fresh bed again for that evening which was disappointing. There were also a number of marks on the bathroom tiles and up on the ceiling which could have easily been sprayed and wiped down, I’m sure. Perhaps a little more attention to detail with certain things. There was an ice machine on our floor - didn’t work. However reception brought some up for us which was good. There is a lovely large bar area on entrance to the hotel. I was looking for somewhere to have a coffee on day 1 however was informed I could only have takeaway coffee as they didn’t open until noon. I found this a bit strange as there were a lot of business people with laptops who were instead sat on the couches outside the bar area when in fact, they could have had a comfortable seat with a coffee in the bar area. Maybe something to think about? It’s a shame as I had met up with a group of 6 of us plus our kids and we would have all ordered food and drink but instead had to make our way to Starbucks.

Stayed here over a month in July. Was a wonderful place to explore Aberdeen, Deeside and Speyside. The hotel is situated in central Aberdeen just off Union street. It’s s new property in a pedestrian area with a parking area below. Unfortunately the parking area is a) hard to get to (mapping software such as Google maps cannot find it) and b) not directly linked to the hotel ( staff can access the area outside the parking garage if access elevator access is required - just buzz the hotel and ask). Not sure at all why it was designed this way as it’s a simple change of doors to allow customer access to the hotel with a key card, and still allow staff access to their restricted areas. Customer service at the hotel was excellent in all areas: front-desk, bar staff, restaurant and housekeeping - impressive. Room was comfortable if a little compact compared to some Residence Inns. The room lacked a few cooking dishes/ items. None appeared to be available on-request. Breakfast was great with an extensive selection plus additional items available to order. Cooking is easy as easy to prepare meals & groceries are very easy to stock as there is a Marks& Spencer food hall less than 100 yards/meters away.

While our room rates won't break the bank, attention to detail is always high. With the comfort of Sweet Beds in every room, lightning-quick free fibre Wi-Fi throughout, and one of the most varied breakfast spreads you'll find in any hotel, customers are regularly surprised at just how much they get for what they pay. Oh, and you don't have to check out until noon, so you can enjoy a lazy start and an unhurried breakfast.
We are also a cashless property.

Cleaning staff would wake me up early in the morning even though I put out the do not disturb sign, they also have an eco cleaning policy so if you don’t need your room cleaned and you have put out the sign they should not be trying to enter. They were very rude and aggressive, they would continuously bang on the door so the whole room would shake and items would fall from shelves. Even after telling them I do not need my room cleaned today and please do not disturb me they would come back a couple hours later and do it again. Furthermore, due to this behaviour I took it upon myself to inform reception if I had any important phone calls that I had to take privately between 9-3 so that I would not be disturbed by the cleaners during my private calls and also used their texting service to make sure it was in writing to not clean my room during the times I required privacy. The cleaners would ONLY try to enter the room in the hours I stated I needed privacy. One day I only needed privacy between 2-3pm and they came in at 2:10 and spent a good 15 minutes arguing with me. I even offered to take my call elsewhere if they could provide a private area so they could clean the room but this was refused. The lack of privacy and the fact issues happened with the cleaners on a daily basis resulted in me having to put a notice on the door stating if I was harassed by the cleaners again I would have to call the police as the situation had become that unsafe.

GGuest UserThe whole atmosphere was relaxing and the rooms were fantastic. Great friendly staff, great food. The beds were super comfy and those pillows were so comfy. I asked the staff where I could buy them from unfortunately he didn’t know it that’s okay. Would defiantly come back again. Thanks for making the whole trip relaxing Lynn craig
GGEThe small sink is so cute! !! If you catch a flight the next day, it is a good choice for classmates and parents. A 10-minute walk from the hotel to the airport is very convenient, and you can get up late in the morning.
[Location] The hotel is next to Aberdeen Airport, 10 minutes away. If you enter the city, take a taxi: 01224 494949, which is about 15-20 pounds. The bus is also very convenient. It takes 727 to walk for 3 minutes, and the one-way fare is 3.5 pounds.
[Health] Very clean hotel
[Value for money] High value for money, newer equipment, the cheapest Courtyard hotel in the UK is 600 yuan a night (may be slightly more expensive in November, winter and summer)
[wifi] Wi-Fi is free
[Room size] The room size is normal, not big, but not small. Two people will not feel crowded when staying. Better than too many European Hiltons.
[Parking] You can park downstairs
[Service] The ladies at the front desk are so warm and tender that they can melt into their sweet smiles. When you stay in Scotland for a long time, you will have a glass heart. Because the Scottish people are too enthusiastic, London will not, and the front desk will not answer (not for the Chinese but for everyone).
GGuest UserClean hotel with nice big rooms and great facilities, the microwave and fridge were great added extras. My husband has a weird obsession with showers so he loved the rain shower haha. The staff we dealt with were all very friendly too. We will definitely be back again.
Had the worse caesar salad half a salmon fillet and not alot of salad and for £19 so it's poor. The menu in these hotels are poor and very very expensive for what you are getting. I think it's lazy and boring and wanting to take alot of money off the customer for very poor and under portioned food. If it wasn't for the fact I have to stay here through my work I wouldn't. But I will be writing to my company and sending them a photo of my food to show them how much we and them are being ripped off compared to the other hotels in the Dyce area.
GGuest UserAfter a terrible coach journey from Sheffield I was welcomed by Steve after midnight. My breakfast order was taken and I was shown to my single room No5 on the ground floor. The room was small with single bed, hanging space, draws, hairdryer, kettle & tv. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains blocked out the light. I was woken by a rattling room door. I shoved a chair against it to stop it. I heard no road noise. The shared loo & shower room was shabby but the shower was powerful hot & clean. I had clean towels everyday. Breakfast was lovely but basic (no baked beans or sausage) cheese omelet was delicious. I had fresh orange and coffee. Steve was lovely and friendly and chatted every morning. I bought a weekly bus pass and explored Aberdeen all week from this great base and will return. With a little TLC to replace light bulbs & rusty radiators i would have given 5 stars. All in all a lovely traditional B&B
KkaurEverything is very awesome. Fully cleaned room with all essential things. This is perfect hotel for staying . It just little far away from railway station but I really liked all the things. Really good.
This was a return visit within the week for an event as we so enjoyed first stay (rm15) . But we returned to (rm2) and we quite disappointed by a few things, so here we go. After a short time in getting ready to go out , we found the shower valves very loose on the wall ,but all still worked ok . Then no tiolet tissue/paper in the room , which was a bit frustrating as thought that would have been essential for arrival. Then having to go back up and out to front desk to request a supply of some sort . Staff were helpful and helped us out regards . On using the room door realised it would not close as there was a malfunctioning cover plate hanging off stopping door from closing , not wanting to return to front desk we just had to use the entry card to close the door properly bit of innovation needed. At one point later there are 2 very distinct black scuff marks on the cieling which could do with a cover up/paint . The next morning looking forward to having use to the coffee facilities we use before and good to have now was out of order / empty, complementary fruit bowl rather empty also and what left looking it had been there for way too long. On the whole from both visits could not have been more different. But will say the staff were very helpful in all issues so thanks to them , well done . Will we return , not sure.
GGuest UserStayed at The Caledonian Aberdeen as a birthday treat whilst out seeing a friend. The rooms are clean, if a little dated, but the TV is massive and has HDMI ports and Android casting. Biggest thing about this stay though was the service at the bar. The food was good and 5g4 service exceptional. Sophie was amazing. Single-handedly manning the bar and never showing any sign of stress as more and more customers arrived. Each customer was cordially greated and all were given exceptional attention throughout their bar experience. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserThis was a last minute booking for one night that I started to regret as soon as I checked the reviews. I booked a single room but was given a large spacious room. The room was clean and the location was excellent. I was able to find on street parking next to the hotel and get a taxi within minutes to attend an event nearby. Union square was just across the road with plenty of options for an early morning coffee before returning home.
GGuest UserThe address advertised is incorrect. I walked to the address on Union Street and had to Google search the actual location. The accommodation was actually in an alley on Rose Street at the opposite end of Union Street. When phoning the property, it was a London number, not Aberdeen. I had to find the property down an unmarked alley and a mobile number was on the door. Fortunately, the maid was pleasant and helpful.
