Stayed for one night on the way back from visiting family in Staffordshire, we picked the hotel as it offered a pool and jacuzzi but on arrival we were disappointed as it was out of order, we did ask if there was any discount and was offered 25 per cent without any quibble which was some compensation. The rooms are separate from the main house and they look very out of character as the main house was lovely, they looked a little shabby we were concerned looking from the outside. The rooms are small with no Aircon we had to open the window in the night. No wardrobes for hanging clothes and there was no hairdryer. We found our room clean and the shower was good. The restaurant offered good food at a reasonable cost. The tables where we were seated were very close and we did feel we couldn't talk freely as we had other couples in close proximity, we would have preferred a more private table for our evening meal spaced further apart. The atmosphere in the bar was chilled and relaxed with a TV playing. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, the cooked breakfast was exceptional.
