Lovely hotel and grounds, although maintenance work definitely required within a lot of areas. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and room excellent value for money.

The hotel was a beautiful hotel, a grand house and lovely rooms. The only downside was the jacuzzi not working and the bathroom door got stuck everytime you shut it. We did report this and whilst the young lady at reception in the evenings was lovely and apologetic, I was surprised there is no one around at weekends to fix anything, good job it wasn’t an emergency.

Really lovely stay at this hotel… bed was so comfy and ate the best steak I have had for a long time… even a group of adults playing rounders on the lawn.. such a lovely atmosphere.. reception staff super and restaurant lady was so kind. Wrapped up in a blanket watching the sun set over the gardens.. heaven!

Great hotel, lovely place to stay. Staff are always unbelievably helpful, both at reception and in the bar areas. Great facilities both public and in bedrooms. Plenty of parking and scenic surroundings Stay here often for business and although there are closer options I’d prefer the extra comfort over an extra drive

A slightly different place to stay in - dating back to the 18th century in parts. Reason for the cheaper rates is that there is a 1970s-built annexe that looks like it's seen better days, where quite a few of the guest rooms are located, but it's perfectly comfortable and (once we'd got the windows properly closed) warm. Nice staff, although at dinner on Saturday night they seemed a bit overwhelmed as the restaurant was full. Quite a wait for food but it was nice when it arrived. Pool and gym, nice bar and some grounds to walk around in. As the name suggests, it is on the top of a hill so it can get quite windy - but warm inside the hotel buildings. Some distance (about 15 miles) from Oxford. As a base for one or a few nights though Milton Hill House is fine.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel, bought as a special deal including dinner, breakfast and use of the leisure facilities. All the staff are really friendly and helpful but not in your face, our toddler was made very welcome, the food was great and everything at breakfast expertly labelled. The outside view of the Garden Wing can be a little off putting at first, but the rooms inside are lovely. We also found it really quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our evening meal, however the aubergine was not marked as spicy and it was extremely hot. The pool is really nice, clean and warm. We had a walk around the grounds which are very pretty. My favourite part was the lovely views of the trees and flowers from our bedroom. Highly recommended and we're looking forward to returning.

Pool was nice. Ladies Changing rooms dirty and unkept.
Room was cold, only heater was a plug in oil heater took a while to warm up.
Breakfast was good quailty and friendly cleaning/breakfast room staff.
