The reality lives up to the pictures on their web site. The three pools are real swimming pools and there to be enjoyed. The room was very tastefully decorated. The b-Moll was the restaurant and food - somewhat understandable so, considering that just about everything has to be brought to the outpost.

At first glance the hotel looks good. Tourist village type, with a large swimming pool and a beautiful view of the lake just a few minutes from the Abu Simbel temple. But these are the only positive things. The hotel should be completely renovated. The rooms are spacious, but not very functional, with non-existent WiFi (except in the common areas), polyester sheets and furniture that not even my aunt Tina would have placed in her mountain holiday home. The TV does not work. The hammocks in the pool area are all full of bird droppings, many parts are dirty, with cigarette butts abandoned on the ground, the restaurant serves mediocre food and is infinitely sad. A hotel like this in any location would have a maximum of 3 stars if not 2, but here they are very generous and gave it 5. Only the price is 5 star, ridiculously high, as are the prices of the drinks, naturally all in dollars.

5 stars hotel??? Is it a joke??? The location is great but the hotel is completely run down. Sunbeds by the pool cover with poo of birds, ashtrays full of cigarettes, bad smell in the restaurant, bad food, no cup for coffee (only cardboard at breakfast). Ridiculously high price for being in Egypt. No WiFi in the rooms!!!!! Only in the common areas.

This may be the best accommodation option in Abu Simbel, being situated on the lake and within walking distance of the temples. It is pitched at tour groups who stay for one night. The rooms are comfortable. There is no WIFI except in some of public areas, and no functioning TV channels. It feels like the hotel just does the basics, even to limiting the bottled water in the rooms. Food is ok, but again pitched at tourist groups so in cafeteria mode. A la carte menu prices are in US dollars. Rates can be very high so it does not represent good value for money, but you will probably only need to stay one night so you may decide that is a reasonable trade-off.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are wonderful. Bright with inviting colors. Not to mention spacious. The pool area was awesome. Multiple pools to swim in. Poolside bar and plenty of seating. I have a lovely afternoon just relaxing and enjoying the a**osphere. I ate dinner and breakfast there. The food selection was great. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Opinion identical to the previous ones... A hotel in need of emergency renovation... Cleanliness and bathroom unworthy of a tourist establishment whatever their social level... Our bathtub was completely broken with all the consequences easy to imagine for hygiene... Ditto flushing... Buffet actually not great... It's a shame because the location is very pleasant with a very nice view and the interesting design... Fortunately, the temple saves this scandalous monopoly... We were lucky enough to be able to enter 3 times... During the day, in the evening and at sunrise... it's well worth the discomfort, but does not excuse the negligence of the management of the establishment.

This is the hotel to stay in Abu Simbel. It is nice resort and rooms are spacious. But, I booked a standard triple room that initially had 1 king bed. When I complained, I was put into a room that only had 2 twins instead of 3. Had an issue with dried blood on my duvet cover when I pulled covers back - the hotel responded promptly and replaced the cover revealing a urine stained duvet insert which was not replaced. Dinner buffet is expensive and food is alright. Included breakfast buffet is better. Staff for the most part is good. But, as sun was setting and people gathered around the edge of the pool and lakeside to watch the sunset and take pictures. A clueless staff member with a bug/insectside fogger comes walking down the path and fogging up the area chasing people away just as the sun is setting. As others have said, it is expensive because it is the only decent facility here. Front desk staff are good and arranged for reasonably priced transfers and guide.
