In June 2024 I will go to Nireas for the fifth consecutive year. I'm going there with a friend of mine and we both chose to go back because the place is fabulously beautiful, surrounded by greenery, a few meters from the sea. Every year we occupy an apar**ent with a living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathroom, and a large outdoor space where it is pleasant to read, play cards and relax. The staff is very kind, the cleanliness is top notch and the owners are exquisitely kind and courteous. The prices are absolutely competitive and if sometimes you don't feel like stopping on the beach, you can easily take a lunch break at the Nireas bar. If you want to enjoy a barbecue in the evening, just make a reservation. The large and well-equipped swimming pool, a true paradise for adults and children. In short, all things considered, a place to recommend with absolute tranquility, sure of making a good impression. Greetings to Nireas and its staff waiting to see us, Annamaria and Giovanna from Milan

Nireas reminded me of my first visits to Corfu over 35 years ago, really basic apar**ent but had its pluses.. our room had two balconies (ground floor), good sized room and a large kitchen area. A few ******* with the bathroom though, old style shower with a curtain and the sink leaked a little making the floor a bit slippy.. Maid service was fine tho, no complaints.. The pool area doesn't seem to get used much, i assume because of all the bitey bugs that are about.. Mozzies were the biggest sorepoint of our 2 week stay, I usually get bit anyway but I got a load more than usual, as did my partner and when sitting with drinks people watching it was apparent everybody was getting munched on.. obviously not the fault of nireas but would put me off going back unless the price was as good as we paid this time.. Perfect location, a couple of minutes stroll either way to the beach or the main road, both with some really good bars and restaurants.

Stayed one week from 5 September in apar**ent 5. Whilst it was a two bedroom apar**ent it was very cramped. Kitchen had table and 3 chairs, no armchairs or sofa. No kettle or toaster. Towels changed once in week, sheets not changed at all. Bathroom small and old but clean. Pool area no problem getting sun beds but they were old and decrepit. Ate in snack bar once. Food lovely but a**osphere nil. Was expecting more for what we paid. Central to beach front and Main Street. Mosquitoes are in abundance both day and night. Numerous bites even after using sprays, lotions and plug ins.

Basic large clean apar**ents with a big pool in a superb location, 5 mins one way to the beach, and 5 mins the other way to the main street of shops, bars and restaurants. Good points: apar**ents are surrounded by lush gardens and trees so feel very private. Great views of mountains. Quiet at night. Balcony not overlooked and plenty of space in apar**ent, basic decor but equipped with microwave, kettle, 2 hobs and fridge. We ate out all the time so never used the kitchen but the facilities were better than some places we've stayed before. Swimming pool was lovely, very large pool and plenty of sunloungers, no need to reserve with towels. Very nice views of the trees and gardens around the pool, felt like a real hidden tropical oasis, we saw preying mantis, bats, dragonflies and lizards. Areas it could improve on: Bar area was dark and dull, it didn't feel inviting. When we arrived to check in and the rest of the week, we weren't ever given a friendly greeting, it just felt like a business, no warmth which was a shame as we have been to many apar**ents in Greece where they smile and are so welcoming. So we did go elsewhere for cocktails and drinks, where previously we have enjoyed spending time in the apar**ents we stay at, having drinks and being made to feel welcome. Nireas has the potential to be really great as the pool, apar**ents and gardens are lovely, perhaps we just experienced the end of a long summer and their enthusiasm was fading, I do get that, but a smile isn't hard.

We booked a week at Nireas as a late deal package through EasyJet. For the price we paid, the apar**ent was brilliant. We had a one bed, which was on the ground floor and had a separate kitchen / living space with extra pull out beds, a shower room, a small terrace off the bedroom and a larger terrace off the kitchen. The apar**ent was basic, but it was clean and functional and better than we had expected for the price. The kitchen area had a fridge, two ring hob, kettle and microwave. There was a washing line with pegs on the larger terrace which was great for swimwear. Thanks to the layout of the complex and the planting around the site, both terraces felt quite private. The apar**ent was cleaned frequently and we got fresh towels twice during the week, and the beds *****ped and fully remade once. Nireas is a short few minutes walk from the beach and beachfront bars / restaurants in one direction, and a similar distance from the main street of Acharavi with loads of restaurants etc and a supermarket just at the top of the road, so cannot fault the location. We hired a bike and there was no issue parking outside our apar**ent. This meant we did get out and explore the island so did not spend as much time in the complex as others, but there would be plenty within walking distance if you did not hire a vehicle. We didn’t use the pool and bar area much due to being so close to the beach and town, but it always seemed clean and welcoming. We were able to leave our cases at the bar without issue on our last day after checkout as we had an evening transfer. There was air con available in the bedroom but this is for an extra charge. We prefer not to use it anyway and were fine in the apar**ent we had without it. Definitely make sure you have mozzie repellent if you’re sensitive to bites as there are a lot around (true for most of the coastal areas if you’re out of the breeze, so not specific to the accommodation, just one to be aware of). In downsides, as per a previous review, we arrived after midnight with two other groups and it was very confusing as no staff / open reception desk, just posters in the reception window telling us which apar**ents we were assigned to. The reception itself is pretty tucked away and was hard to find after hours of travelling and in the dark, and we were conscious of not wanting to disturb other guests as we wandered about trying to figure out what to do. A heads up about the system or sending some info in advance by email would have made this so much easier. There was some kitchen equipment provided but very limited cutlery / utensils, so while it was fine for us to do breakfast and snacks in the apar**ent, it would have been a struggle to make a more substantial meal. This may be luck of the draw as to what is provided in each apar**ent. Although everything was clean, the apar**ent did show signs of wear and tear, especially in the bathroom and kitchen areas.

Central location complete structure, nice swimming pool and staff... but the cleanliness needs to be improved, insert mosquito nets on the doors because being located among the greenery the residence is full of them... but the main thing REMODERING THE BEDS, old uncomfortable ones we practically slept in earth.. I've been sick the last few nights with back pain and this isn't good.. we all left with pain but especially since I had back surgery I had to take anti-inflammatories for a week.. To improve

Ideal location, near beach and bars and restaurants. The pool was lovely and never too crowded. The Pool bar served an excellent choice of breakfast and snacks. On arrival ( after midnight) there was nobody around as reception closes at 5pm and the bar closes at 8pm. We felt a bit lost and it was quite dark. I phoned a contact number and was told to look on the window at reception. When we finally found reception details if our room and how to find it were posted in the window. It didn't take long to sort but I think visitors should be informed that this is their system. The room was spacious but basic. The next day when we officially checked in we paid for air con for the week, which was a godsend. The cleanliness could have been better. The sheets weren't changed the whole time we were there and the beds were not made. I had to ask for fresh towels. The bins were emptied three times in the week. For the kitchen and recycling bin this was fine . However I think the bathroom bin needed changing daily especially as you are not allowed to flush toilet paper down the toilet We had a good holiday and a pleasant stay but the attention to detail re the cleanliness etc could have made it even better. .

I was looking at some of the bad reviews, they were a while ago, maybe it was bad timing? the staff are lovely, the pool is very nice, large, very clean, plenty of sunbeds. great location, 2 mins from beach. food is ok, apar**ents are ok, quietest air con i ever had! dreamy air con! there are cats, they are all lovely, no bother at all, if you like cats you will love it, if you don't like cats, well, just ignore them. its basic and its budget, but you get more than that, as i said, staff are great, place is good, location brilliant. would go back np.

Booked a late weekend away to here and it was lovely 😊 The staff were fine, no problems were found with them from us. The rooms super, yes a few little things need doing but it’s not a 5* hotel! Spacious, clean and enough utensils. There’s steps upto most of rooms so bare that in mind, air conditioning is paid for when you arrive, not expensive. Pool area nice with umbrellas and loungers (some need replacement) bar area is fine, good choice food and drink. Close to beach, shops and some fabulous restaurants. Quiet resort with a 1.5hr transfer, very scenic transfer.
