Exceptional overall, I was very pleased! From check in to check out everything was great. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The only person not as friendly was the lady in the gift shop, but she was not rude in any way, just not as helpful or cheerful as everyone else. The chef in the breakfast restaurant was so knowledgeable and friendly and food was superb!

On May 24th, 2024. We planned to do our family wedding venue place in Check In Hotel. It really was a standout out for us of several wedding venues we went so far we found check in hotel to be one of the most incredible venue ever. The foods was very delicious, savory, heavenly and mouthwatering I have to give a big of applause to Chef Mesfin and Chef Teshome, they really did serve amazingly. They were fast and looking to the dishes that ran out but within a blink of an eye they rush to make everything full. Especially to chef Mesfin OMG wow..he was really well orientated about what we want for the food and he delivered them perfectly cooked and in a spectacular way with being careful. The venue hall is so big and lovely as well the bathroom are so clean and chic everything was so great. I would love to thank the waiters as well Tsion and Abebech for servicing our guests in such mannered way and shout out to Abel the F&B controller for being very attentive listener and on point even Alemshet as well though he is a bit stiff but I can understand why he also happens to be an excellent worker. And none of this wouldnt happen if it weren't for the fabulous Rahel Assefa the marketing manager. She made us felt like home and really really did show us moreover she actually gave us an idea of how we can run our plans with decor venue. She really did shine us through her magical works. So I really do recommend to stop going on the city to find a wedding venue and head straight to CHECK IN Hotel right to Rahel and book your venue there. The best and safest hotel in the area. There is no one. The breakfast is good and the environment is also very good. The facilities of the resort are very good.

The hotel discriminates against white people. Employees communicate harshly and irresponsibly. - transfer from the airport was not provided, although I wrote to them in the comments to the booking, on the website, by email, on the WhatsApp phone number provided. They didn’t meet me, I took a taxi at my own expense and they simply said “sorry.” - they demand payment ONLY in dollars, and they want to give change in birr, under the pretext “we have an official exchange rate.” But under the pretext of “take birr at the official rate,” they refuse to white people. One of the employees said “you should pay in dollars and take change in birr to help our country.” - there was no hot water in the room, they tried to fix it for an hour before moving me to another room. I spent half a day waiting. - cockroaches. - water is leaking from the shower - I asked for a transfer to the airport, because they didn’t meet me, they said “sorry, the transfer is only for international flights. Sorry again that we didn’t meet you.” - I paid for the last day, but since the plane was delayed, I didn’t stop. They refused to return the money, because “everything is already in the system,” but they also refused to provide a RECEIPT! Blatant lie, everything goes into your pocket! At least give me a receipt and pay your taxes! Or for the sake of a good relationship, you can return the money! Guys, I'm sorry to leave a bad review.

Very nice place. Very homely people and the staff is really good and very cooperative for foreigners, especially I would like to recommend the service by David David bar supervisor- the bar supervisor and Teddy, okay. Miki is very good person in serving the best cocktails in the world. I enjoyed, and I had a great time as they made me feel at home.

Overall very good, very good value for money! There is a pick-up service! And the staff is Chinese throughout the whole process! Breakfast included! Lunch and dinner at your own expense! Much more cost-effective than a Chinese restaurant!

I am overlanding through Africa for almost a year now and this hotel has been a fabulous experience for me. The check in went smooth and I was allowed in early. The staff is exceptional! From the front desk to the wait staff of the restaurant, which has amazing and well priced food, to the maids. Bravo to all on a job well done. The spa is also lovely. I very much enjoyed a steam, sauna and massage by the incredible staff worker. I would recommend 100% to stay here. The location is great. I feel safe. The Wi-Fi and room is amazing. Thank you 😊

I stayed in Hotel Lobelia for a total of 5 nights during 3 separate times in July. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10min drive from Bole international airport, & a free hotel airport shuttle is provided. This was perfect for me as I had to fly in & out of Addis Ababa a couple of times as I traveled around Ethiopia. Besides being close to the airport, the hotel is also very close to many other establishments, such as restaurants, cafes, shops, mall, etc. There is also an ATM just outside the hotel lobby so this was extra convenient. The 3 different rooms I stayed in during my 3 separate stays were all spacious, satisfactory, & clean. The bed was quite comfortable, & the wifi worked well in the room. There was also a separate seating area. A menu for the restaurant, as well as all the services offered by the hotel are also conveniently provided on the desk in the room. The bathrooms are quite small, however, and can use some upgrades, but overall it was fine, and the hot water shower was great. On one of my stays, I did end up getting upgraded to one of the suites, which was a very big room with a very big bathroom. They serve a buffet breakfast which typically included traditional Ethiopian dishes, and sometimes eggs & pancakes, in addition to toast, fruits, juices, coffee, & tea. Besides breakfast, food is available all day at their restaurant, as well as room service. The food at the restaurant is quite good so I did eat here a couple of times. Laundry service was also good – I dropped it off just before 8:30am & got it back just after lunch. They also have luggage storage, which I used to store my big backpack, while I traveled to other parts of Ethiopia with just a small backpack. The overall service is really good here; plus, all the staff, from the reception to the restaurant to the shuttle service, are really nice, friendly, & accommodating. There was always someone to answer any questions and provide any assistance needed, which I really appreciated. This hotel is definitely good value for a short stay in Addis Ababa with easy access to the airport.

I recommend this hotel to friends who are going to ADIS. Location: Five minutes' drive from the airport, you can see the airport from the balcony of the hotel, you don't need to leave too long in advance. There is a hotel's free bus to and from the airport, every 15 minutes, 24-hour service Facilities: The facilities are very complete and the items in the room are of high grade. Dining, leisure, swimming pool, fitness. The best thing is that there is a bank inside, you can exchange currency at any time Restaurant: The breakfast is absolutely amazing, located on the second floor of another building. The bread and desserts are more complete than the bakery, and the lady fell directly when she saw it. There are five or six kinds of honey. Freshly squeezed juices from various fruits 🍹 ice cold and super addictive. There are even more types of nuts, including big hazelnuts from the Northeast🌰 Security: Don't worry about safety when you come here, every car that comes in will be checked carefully. There is a security check at the entrance on the first floor. Service: It is recommended to come here if you are traveling by yourself or on a business trip. You can meet and discuss things directly in the spacious and grand hall. The hotel staff are very warm and polite.

I have come here from India. It is so called *Grand international* hotel but there is no international food. Not even rice, dals etc. Indians will suffer a lot if they choose this hotel for their stay.
