GF Victoria

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel we stayed same time last year. This time we had one room with 2 children 11&9 I would have given it 5 stars like last year but there was an issue with a supplement for an extra child which I thought was expensive so I’ve knocked it down a star. All staff are still attentive, service is good rooms are excellent with big balconies we overlooked the pool this time on floor 4 and could see the sea. There were 3 other families staying at the same time from our last year recommendation and we were all given rooms next to each other which was a nice touch form the hotel as it was fully booked. Facilities are good except the gym which is far too small for a hotel this size and level. They have padel courts a Tennis court and squash courts and the little water park and surf machine on the top floor. Breakfast is great never seems crowded. The pools open at 9.30 and there were people queuing at 9.20 to get a bed. We always got a bed though so no need to queue and rush in like ants! All in all a good holiday. We Would stay again if we got a good deal.

Fantastic! We’ve returned from GF Victoria and had a great stay. We did B&B and the breakfast was brilliant, very fresh and a donut wall plus Nutella pump so my daughter was in heaven!!! Local restaurants for evening meals that we would recommend would be Amalfi at Fanabe beach and Rosso del Sur in La Caleta. There were lots of sun beds even when it got busier due to half term kicking in and good activities for the children. The hotel is strict on the no reserving sun beds & opening the pool at 9.30 which was really good and reduced the rush in the early morning! Our room was floor 3 with a pool view and was spacious with very comfortable beds. My only negative was the evening shows, I never find these very good at any hotel, but it was a bit weak in our opinion, the reception singers were lovely, but in the bright reception you don’t get the atmosphere in the evening. Overall we’d highly recommend GF Victoria.

We have just come back from a lovely stay at this hotel in Costa Adeje. The hotel arranged private transfers for my family of 8, and these were very smooth both ways. Check-in was welcoming, and although 2 of our 3 rooms weren’t ready (we arrived hours before the check-in time) it wasn’t long before we were given the keys to the other rooms. The suites are really nice; my only complaint is that the roomy balconies are unusable because the chairs are so uncomfortable. A glance around the balconies show them to be universally unused. I’m sure this is because of the awful furniture. We were half-board, and the breakfast and evening buffets were really good; the food was being constantly replenished and there was a great variety to choose from. Evening meals were themed - Mexican, Chinese, Indian etc. The pools were fine - there was the inevitable rush to reserve sun-beds but this was unnecessary - there were always plenty available and lots of towels. The pool side bar / restaurant was great, quality and price of food was fine, and there were plenty of servers if you couldn’t be bothered getting out of your lounger. We had a lovely stay - one payment issue on check out was easily resolved; the evening entertainment was fine for the kids. If the hoteliers read this, please change the balcony furniture. It can’t be rocket science to get this right.

This is no doubt an amazing, luxury hotel but having just returned from there we felt the layout could be better. For example we were in room 250 and the walk to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was longer than it should have been. If you have mild mobility issues it isn't ideal. There should definitely be more access points instead of only being able to use the main front door to enter or leave, this made it difficult with tired kids or in the heat. Other guests agreed on the access points too, seems bizarre to have only one. Another point is that the hotel isn't air conditioned very much other than the rooms. The lifts were especially hot. The final point is that I got a club sandwich and it ahd a large bone jn it, things like that shouldn't happen especially in this level of hotel, if that had been my son it could have been really dangerous. Other than that it's a lovely hotel, staff were great but there are others on the island jsut as good if not better.

Stayed at GF Victoria as a family of five, 4 adults and 1 toddler within two separate standard suites. Both rooms (509/510) were spotlessly clean on arrival and well equipped the only slight downside being there is a lack of space for suitcases but otherwise we could not fault the rooms at all. Cleaners were in most days and also early evening which was a nice touch. Complimentary water and tea/coffee is refilled daily too. From the balcony we had a lovely quiet view across the “Jardin del sol” area which was also great for being able to watch the evening entertainment. Breakfast here has an unbelievable selection and we felt regardless of time the seating areas were well managed and spaced out. Possibly due to it being May the hotel was a little quieter but we enjoyed that aspect as it didn’t feel manic or over crowded at any point. The amount of pools on offer are also a selling point and we never struggled to get sunbeds in either the family pool area nor the kids splash park. The location I would say isn’t central but almost at the far end of Costa Adeje so if you are like us and enjoy restaurants in the Las Americas/Los Cristionas area be prepared to pay for a taxi as walking wasn’t an option really. This cost us around 16 euros each way but I would say there are many various different restaurants to choose from just a short walk down from the hotel or up the hill towards the market so you don’t need to venture too far. Overall we all agreed we would be returning to GF Victoria!

Fantastic hotel. This is a fantastic hotel. We went as a couple with a toddler. Location: 5 mins walk to 2 beaches, and right outside a high end shopping centre and restaurants. It's about 20 mins from the airport. Room: fantastic. Large suite with two toilets and bathroom shower. Huge balcony. A large cot with complimentary slippers for the little one too. Not too noisy. The activities for children and toddlers are really good. They change daily, so things like an animal day, foam party, disco etc. The animation team is great and friendly. There are 5 pools catering to different audiences. The splash pool and mini waterpark is decent. Food is good. There is a huge buffet restaurant with a lot of variety (the most I've seen). The timings are also good for toddlers. And a dedicated kids area in the buffet area.

What a fabulous hotel, something for everyone. Great for families as loads for kids to do, but we went as a couple and loved it. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. All the produce was of the highest quality. Glad of the adults only section of the restaurant as breakfast could be rather noisy, as it was such a large restaurant. The rooms are really well equipped with fridge, coffee maker etc, and we heard no noise whatsoever from other rooms. And the pools are all lovely - very clean and well looked after. The hotel is situated in a brilliant location, with lots of fabulous restaurants in all directions. Will definitely return for some winter sunshine.
