Given we live in Russia during Covid we decided on a week family break in Sochi - first time for such a vacation there. First of all the hotel is excellent - with 2 pools, several bars and restaurants, bike hire, animation, kids play zones, spa and fitness. It is set up like a super resort and we (with our 9 year old) loved it - just a pity was only a week! It is located with access to its own beach, and has many great bars and restaurants close by within walking distance. You can walk to Sochi Park amusement park, to see the dancing fountains at night, and the promendade is a lively area both day and night to shop, eat, drink and dance. I was pleasantly surprised at how this part of Sochi has developed since 2014 - super impressed and would return. We took a day trip to the mountains - Rosa Khutor - this was amazing, and had no need in fact to go into downtown Sochi itself.

The room was provided with a 10-year-old daughter in August 2020. The room was provided just before the settlement time, which is pleasant. As wishes: in the hotel make limits by the age of guests 10+ , if you position yourself as a hotel for a true rest and full dive into the hilling atmosphere. Small and screaming children are completely unsuited to the hotel concept. The feeling that everyone is going specially with children to this hotel because of the pool, with the age and time limits on the children's bathing , no one complies, no one responds to the comments and no staff follows. You can rest at the pool only in the first 30 minutes after the opening (9:00-9:30). Then the kindergarten starts, with parents lying on the lying, and children scream in the pool. It is evident that the hotel is not coping with the flow of guests, on the counter always the queue. In general, the hotel is on a firm 3.5, absolute price-quality discrepancy, the price is very overstated!!! Очень классная территория. Ландшафтный дизайн, в-целом комплекс отличный. Есть всякие занятия, что фитнес, что досуговые. Бассейн открытый, до этого плавали в горах в открытом бассейне, там он действительно был тёплый, тут прохладный. И потом выходить и идти до раздевалки (тоже на открытом воздухе) прохладно. Ну, и самое важное. Персонал. Сервис отдыхает, к большому сожалению. Приехали в 19:45, сказали подождать посидеть минут 15, потому что пересменка на ресепшне. Ок. Посидели 20 минут. Подошли, новенькие девушки заступали на смену и даже не поздоровались, не сказали сколько ещё ждать, мы просто стояли возле стоек. Уже после нашего вопроса ”когда нас заселят?”, сказали пождать ещё пару минут. Спросили про пожелания, мы пришли в номер и были в шоке. Настолько убитый. Ну, и оказалось, что унитаз не смывает. На мой вопрос по телефону спросили когда нам нужен сантехник сегодня или ЗАВТРА. В общем, переселили в другой номер в другом корпусе, тот уже был лучше и свежее. Сложилось впечатление, что персонал работает по принципу ”на дурака, прокатит или нет”. В столовой завтраки нормальные, есть что поесть, но каши были на вид не впечатляющими, блины и оладьи просто разогретые. Из плюсов: до моря очень близко, ходили в спа ”Sea spa” просто волшебно.

Beds are very convenient and bed linen is perfect. Cleaning every day. Everything you ask is decided in the shortest time. The view from the window is unreal! The location is successful. The area is decent - there is a place to go for a walk. Breakfast is as a separate kind of art. Very tasty, satisfactory and worthy choice for any taste and preference. Bonus: A glass of champagne is a small one, but pleasant) SPA is worthy. Despite not all was open (repair work), we had a great time! In fact, you can not go out of the hotel, as all entertainment, service - under one roof. In the evening you can play the casino - interesting) The hotel is very beautifully decorated and order everywhere. I want to thank the whole Marriott team for professionalism! The resort of Imereti is an excellent complex from the start, ideal for the off-season, as the sea is nearby but the beach is far away (in summer, transfer to the beach). Super walk-head to Adler or the center of the resort. Nice big room with balcony and view. Only the bathroom is small and high (suitable for children with small children), but it is best for adults to bring a shower. 2 working pools, but not always available in good weather. The food is very good choice, the cappuccino is not good, water and milk, almost no coffee, it can save Americano and espresso, there is not a lot of space in the dining room, sometimes you have to wait for a while. Free tables, terrible, no staff control. Someone came in last, first sitting down at the empty table. The area is very nice, good playground. A beautiful area, close to the first swimming pool + fitness area. The animation is already working :).
