My stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, one of the staff members who accompanied us to our room appeared intoxicated, with red eyes and a foul smell. Despite the high expectations set by Instagram and the hotel's reputation, the reality fell far short. The room, while aesthetically pleasing, lacked essential amenities one would expect from a 5-star hotel. There were no toothbrushes, hairdryers, or even basic kitchen appliances like a coffee machine or water heater. The air conditioning was inadequate, the TV was tiny, and there was a noticeable lack of room service or dining options. The staff's behavior was unprofessional and concerning. They lacked manners, dressed inappropriately, and displayed poor hygiene practices, including serving food with unclean hands nails are long and disgusting...the quality & dishes tasting terrible and often being served at the wrong temperature. The most alarming incident occurred when we returned to our room after being out for just an hour. We were surprised to find two staff members inside, one with cleaning equipment. To our shock, one of them was the same staff member who had appeared intoxicated on the first day of our arrival. His demeanor was visibly panicked and uneasy when we knocked on the door, insisting that we wait outside while they cleaned the room. I refused to comply and entered the room to check, prompting the staff member to hastily leave as if he was caught doing something wrong. It's important to note that my sisters and I had separate rooms, and mine was exceptionally small, easily cleanable within five minutes by one person. This situation raised serious concerns as it appeared there was something suspicious happening inside. Thankfully, my intuition about the place and the odd behavior of the staff compelled me to always carry my valuables with me whenever leaving the room. To add to the frustration, power cuts occurred frequently without any acknowledgment or apology from the hotel management. Additionally, encountering staff members unexpectedly entering our room raised serious safety concerns, especially given their suspicious behavior.

According to the name, this is supposed to be a hotel. But is more like an airbnb accommodation. We spent 16 days in Sri Lanka. The hotel was our last destination, so we can compare with other accomodations. The concept of the hotel is beautiful. Presidental suite is gorgeous. The views are insane. Definitely one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. However, considering that this is a hotel and that the price is higher than elsewhere, there was no cleaning the next day. The materials are really bad. Everything is kind of thrown together in a hurry. Which I really didn't like are their juices (pineapple, watermelon...). They are so diluted that you feel like you're only drinking water. It was not diluted anywhere in the whole of Sri Lanka. Here was so much so that it was pure disappointment. This juice discouraged us to drink or eat anything in their restaurant. Breakfast has very limited options. 1 coffee per person, 1 juice per person, 1 meal. Very little. We stayed hungry so we went to another restaurant to eat breakfast . Do not lean on the glass fence where you have a room. The glass is not glued and can be very dangerous. Husband could not believe that the glass was not glued. Such glass can break quickly when leaning and you land on the floor of the hotel. Don't count on the pool. Because I wouldn't call it a pool, what they offer. Apart from the fact that the room is beautiful, everything else is very poor. In Europe they would have 3*. The service in restaurant is very bad. Also the bedding had stains. Aircondition work weird. It couldn't cool the place enought. The bedding was kind of fluffy and too much warm. We were sleeeping very bad. Considering that all accommodations for 50€ per night had better bedding and we slept like a baby. I won't lie. I was quite disappointed. It's worth only because of the room. And that's it.
