Fairmont Mara Safari Club

Pros: location is excellent, very nice amenities, food is very good, and game drives with Moseka were also good (despite not finding a male lion). I was injured during this trip and the nurse Betty took great care while redressing my wounds. All staff were very polite. The property itself is beautiful. Wake up service and morning coffee delivery was a very nice personal touch. View of mara river and hippos grunting away will never be forgotten. Cons: disorganised staff - they didn't know we were on our honeymoon trip despite telling them in advance. Phone did not work in the room and our room was in the far wing of the property. There were a lot of staff at the property who mentioned that they are assigned to us specifically but then we had to rely on the other staff. During checkout, they couldn't figure out we had prepaid in advance. They booked hot air balloon for us on the day of checkout only to then later rush us to pack in hurry when they could have simply told us to keep our luggage ready a day in advance.

Our driver for your game drive, Dominic was incredibly knowledgeable and very accommodating. We learned so much from him about the animals and the country it was great. He was able to do the jeep at the best vantage point for taking pictures and just watching the animals. Or accommodations were to notch. The tents were very comfortable with all the amenities. And the bonus was the sound of hipos in the river below and the monkeys in the gas and on the fence. When stirring at dinner you're looking across the river at the monkeys.

The Fairmont is a beautiful property with great staff, quality food and beautiful views. There are hippos and crocodiles in the river and monkeys across the way in the forest. One thing to note is that the camp is an hour from the park entrance over rutted dirt roads. Many guests fly in to avoid the road.

This was by far the best trip we’ve had this summer break. Such a great camp, the kids had the loveliest time from time at the pool, the game drives were awesome with Dominic our tour guide, Bless him, he was so patient and so thorough, we got the closest view of lions, elephants, buffalo’s and many other animals. Best Guide Eve. The tents were always superbly done by Geoffrey. The food…. Hats off Chef David. You saw through us. My family including the kids loved everything so so much. The staff were so helpful, Simon, best waiter. Highly recommended.

The camp is very clean, from the grounds to the tents and the main reception and dining room area. Faimont Mara has a great team. The general manager keeps them happy and it shows. They’re genuinely eager to welcome their guests and we always have a memorable vacation. Mike is an experienced driver who takes all necessary precautions, we experienced a great migration. The front desk and Duty manager Nancy is always around to check on guests and so is the restaurant manager Dennis. Griffin was a friendly server. This camp is kid friendly in many ways. While kids can be picky eaters traveling, they were very accommodating. Our housekeeper was very attentive, we had a clean tent and no monkeys inside even when he brought us snacks. We look forward to our next visit!

Great hotel. Great customer service. It was a special occasion and William Nasha and his team did a great job. Would definitely go again. Great experience. Also please note the hotel is about 1 hour+ from the park main entrance. Food was also good.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel and trip! It such an unforgettable experience. The Mother Nature is stunning with her animals! I had a dream and it came true, the stuff and the hotel made it happen! I would like to say thank you to each of you who served me there! Special Thank You Dominic and Nicholas (our guides) for doing the most important job! I came for Safari and I saw everything. We spent many hours doing game drives, learning about animals and the area ( Masai village). I also recommend night safari, different experience, exciting! I will be always sharing this hotel because it was truly wonderful! Forever grateful❤️

Fairmont mara is a beautiful property right on the mara river. Staff are so humble, and eager to solve the issues. Manager Mr William, Driver Alfred, Staff trainee Vivian, Ms Mercy made our stay memorable. The camp can do better with a Gym onside and in- tent dining options. Overall very satisfactory stay. Loved the hippo hide and Boma dinners. The Kenyan chef who specialises in Indian cuisine is exceptionally good.
