Best Hotels near Shōzui Castle Ruins, Aizumi

The Hotel is right on top of Japan Railway Tokushima Station and one minute walk from the main bus terminal in Tokushima, too. Very convenient not only to explore the city of Tokushima, but also to explore Tokushima's rich nature and culture, still hidden gem in Japan. Hotel was built about 30 years ago but it is well maintained and rooms are spacious compared with more recent ones. Hotel staffs are very courteous. It forms a part of the station building where you can find many restaurants with Japanese and local flavors as well as souvenir shops.

It is close to the station, so it is convenient for travel. In addition, the male staff at the front desk is also gentle and quick. The front desk who forgot to give the breakfast ticket, when I entered the room, there was already a room phone. I noticed that I forgot to give it immediately and contacted me. Breakfast is a Viking, but this is also a female staff who is very careful and cares. The porridge container was thick and could not be opened with bare hands. The staff opened and gave me porridge. And the breakfast buffet is delicious. I like the fried sirass porridge sanuki Udon pudding.

We stayed for two nights and we enjoyed it. Located across the Tokushima JR station and next to a few shopping areas, it's easily accessible. The hotel car park lot (self-park) is just next to the hotel building and the parking fee is 800yen (3pm to 11noon, just one-time entry) and you can pay the fee at the hotel reception. The room we have is deluxe double, double bed at East Annex. The room is clean and comfortable. Just like other Japanese downtown business hotels, the room is not big but we able to open up two suitcases and still have room to move around. Breakfasts have Western & Japanese choices and we especially love they included local food and cuisine. Public onsen is located at the 11/F and we enjoyed it too. Staff are friendly and speak okay English.

It was a quiet and clean hotel, close to about 5 minutes walk from Tokushima Station. The parking lot was in the building opposite the road and it was difficult to understand, but it was good to be free. Breakfast became a restaurant on the 1 floor, but there was a sense of liberation. There were various types and it was good. I think the cospa was good overall.

The hotel is just located on the left side of the station. It’s really wonderful. There is also a convenience store located at the ground floor which also makes our lives so much easier. The room (Hollywood twin) is a large and spacious room that can easily accommodate the opening of 2 large suitcases (28 inch). The bathroom is also generous in space, and we could actually move around freely and change clothes in the toilet for once (as compared to other chain hotels in Japan). It has all the comforts and amenities of a proper graded hotel, but the air conditioning was poor. Opened the windows but still felt a little warm throughout the night. The other minor “issue” I observed was how they tried to “automate” the check-in which is a failure in my opinion. Automation is to reduce workflow/ manual work required by parties. However in this case, I had to go to the reception desk for them to make copies of our passport and issue a card (to be used at the check-in machine). Thereafter I have to walk to the machine and insert the card, press a bunch of buttons to be issued the room and room key. So from a customer perspective I’m actually troubled twice, because I need to make 2 stops before actually getting my room. So what’s the point of this check-in machine? Fail to see the benefits of it.

I checked in at 21:00, but the parking lot was wide and free. WIFI was stress-free and comfortable. Although it is cheap, the room is clean and it is a hotel with a passing score. I will repeat when I go on a business trip to Tokushima.

We stayed in this hotel as a stopover, driving from Awaji to Shikoku. It's an onsen hotel with both Western-style beds and tatami as bedding options. There is a large carpark space behind the hotel. Breakfast provided was Japanese-style and adequate, with options for rice/porridge, juice and coffee. There are limited options for food around, and had to go into Naruto City for dinner. It was a short drive of about 10 minutes to the boats going out to the whirlpools, and 5 minutes to the Otsuka Museum of Art.

Use this hotel as an awa Odori viewing. The good bed is not normal and bad. Air conditioner display and room lamp display are English. Although it is an old facility, it is difficult to understand. It is said that everyone goes on foot because the taxi is also crowded. It came out at 17 o'clock in the middle of summer evening, but it is still hot. 1.7 km walk 25 minutes, sweat, duck! It is easy to be in a commercial facility called Amiko, but compared to the hotel near the liquid, it does not return to physical strength! So, after seeing the dance of the kusunoki beach, a little free dance hall, the ryokokubashi dance hall? Small dance hall? I walked around the awa dance pedestrian heaven area and walked through it! If you proposed a taxi near the station, I saw it better! The traffic regulation was from 18 o'clock, so it was not crowded even in the taxi at 17 o'clock. I feel the shallowness of the response of the lobby. I think it was a mess. No. I felt like a hotel that strongly sought efficiency, but I think it was shallow. I feel the danger of our hotel in the staff consciousness that it is normal to walk 25 minutes in midsummer. If you go to awa Odori, you don't know, but you may use smile hotel Tokushima and so on. Can I park at the hotel in front of the station this time? I was worried. This hotel was about ２００ planes and three-dimensional, and it was free. It is a thought and trouble.
