I chose this place because the weekday price was cheap and I could go to the hot spring. In addition to the hot spring, there was a pool, gym, camping area, etc., so it felt more like a spa house than a hot spring inn. I stayed in a 6-tatami Japanese-style room with a veranda toilet, and I had no complaints. There is also a self-catering room, so you can bring your own food and cook it. I thought it was a good price to take a relaxing bath in the hot spring in the forest and sleep.

I thought I was searching for an accommodation close to Akita Airport, but it turned out to be quite in the mountains. There's a gymnasium, a table tennis field, a bedrock bath (separate fee), a pool, a barbecue, and so much more. It's a day trip to the hot springs, but you can also stay overnight, and it comes with dinner and morning meals, so I chose this one because it was cheaper than others. Perhaps because it was cheap, other guests had bad manners, talking in the hallway and slamming the door open and shut. Maybe it's because of the structure of the building, but I can hear everything through the tube, and it doesn't make me feel very good. I arrived around 5:40pm, but was told that the food would be ready from 5:30pm, so I could come at any time I wanted before the order stop. When I went to the cafeteria around 6pm, there was a line of dishes waiting to be cooled with nothing on them. The only warm things I can eat are the chawanmushi that comes out after I sit down, and the hot pot I just lit. There's rice and miso soup, so I was told to call in whenever I wanted, but if you're a drinker, the portions served are more than enough. The taste is average, but the simmered dishes and tempura are all cold, so it's not something to look forward to. Even in the morning, I prepared the food and went to eat it whenever I wanted. In the morning, for some reason, it was covered with a cloth, and when I sat down, I took it off. Compared to the splendor of the evening, I felt like the quantity was a bit lacking, and I felt like one regular bowl wasn't enough. The taste is normal. Since there is a hot spring, there is no bathroom in the room, but for some reason the toilet (in the same space as the washroom) has a bathroom dryer. I looked around to see if it was for drying clothes indoors, but I couldn't find any equipment like laundry ropes. The room is a little larger than a normal business hotel single room, but it's comfortable as long as the neighbors next door aren't noisy. The building is old, so there aren't many electrical outlets, and none are near the bed, so be careful not to run out of charge for your smartphone. The hot spring was tasteless, odorless, and refreshing, and I wasn't sure if it was a hot spring or just hot water, but there was a list of ingredients in the changing room, so it was definitely a hot spring. There is no one at the front desk from 11pm to 7am, so I can't go out. There is nothing around the hotel, so be sure to purchase anything you want to bring with you in advance.
