"The hotel is easily accessible from JR Akita Station West Exit, just a short walk across the street via a covered walkway. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located on the ground floor, and the Akita Museum of Art is just a short stroll further, making its location excellent. The hotel is new and impeccably clean. The bathrooms are quite spacious, though with the excellent large public bath (onsen/daiyokujo) available, we didn't bother using the in-room shower. The on-site laundry facilities were very convenient. Breakfast offers a fantastic selection, with an abundant spread of both Western and Japanese dishes, far surpassing what you'd expect from hotels in the same category. Nearby, there's a restaurant called Honke Abeya, renowned for its Akita Hinai chicken – a local specialty that comes highly recommended. Highly recommended!"

"The room layout is very unreasonable. There is a wall blocking the entrance. You have to walk sideways to enter, which is very awkward. The cost of breakfast is controlled to eat a little bit. The tomato bowl is empty when you go an hour in advance. If you say there is no more, the variety is far less than that of hotels of the same price. It feels like a family contract."

"We chose a triple room, but the other bed was a sofa bed converted into a regular bed. The pillows were very flat and quite different from the pillows on the other two beds. I hoped all three beds would have the same quality. Overall, the environment was not bad, although the bathroom had a slight odor."

"My Japanese friends told me once you stay at a Dormy Inn, you'll fall in love with it, and I totally agree. It really excels in value for money: not only does it have excellent hot springs (offering multiple baths, cold plunges, and saunas), which many more expensive onsen hotels don't even provide. The various little services are also very thoughtful (while it's true they don't offer soba noodles or a bottle of Yakult, you'll still be touched by their attentive service). Plus, you can do laundry. If you have tattoos, you can buy some tattoo cover-ups beforehand. Although they're not super strict, there are signs indicating no visible tattoos. The room is small, and the bathroom is tiny, but for a one-night stay, it's perfectly fine. For around 300 yuan, what more could you ask for? Overall, I think it's very convenient and has a lot of character. If you're visiting a new city and don't have a specific hotel in mind, Dormy Inn is a pretty good choice. (It's definitely a significant step up from APA, Toyoko, or Smile hotels)."

"There's nothing bad to say about this hotel. The decor is stylish, the rooms are spacious, and the toilet, sink, and shower are all separate. The JR station is right in front of you, and the breakfast is rich, with many kinds of freshly squeezed juices alone. We didn't even have enough time to try everything, and there are many food shops to the left and right as soon as you step out. This hotel is definitely in the prime spot at Akita Station!"

"It was connected to an izakaya called Karahashi Chaya on the first floor of the hotel. The restaurant was advertised on the TV in the room, and I saw that kiritanpo was 1,500 yen including tax, so I went in and it was 1,680 yen. There was a 5% discount for hotel guests, so I thought it would be about the same price, but the 1,680 yen was before tax, and for some reason an additional 330 yen was added even though I hadn't had any alcohol that night, so in the end I was charged 2,069 yen. If I had to pay that much, I would have eaten something else. I feel like I was cheated."
