Akita Park Hotel

It's far from Akata Station, but there are large supermarkets and markets around the hotel, and a convenience store is right next to it. There are few restaurants nearby. However, there is no place to have a quick meal. The hotel staff are very friendly. The hotel is old, so the cleanliness of the facilities and atmosphere are average. But accommodation is cheap. There is no separate parking fee and you can use nearby parking lots for free.

The room felt small. The noise from the next room and the sound of the door closing was very unpleasant. I think it would have been nice to have one chair and at least a table. The bathtub in the unit bath was small and cramped. It was a shame that the toilet did not have a washer.

Since I was staying during a three-day weekend, I didn't have many options and my destination was close, so I stayed here. The buildings, equipment, and fixtures are so old that it would be difficult to find them anywhere in Japan, and they are so old that you wouldn't even use them on a school trip these days. The sheets are so thin that I wonder if I have chosen them tens of thousands of times. The air conditioner is noisy, the hot water doesn't come out easily, and the room is dark. I could complain endlessly, but I felt as if I were backpacking in a far away developing country while I was in Japan. I wouldn't complain if it was still cheap, but the pricing is pretty aggressive. It was a stay that made me think that the facilities and equipment had already been depreciated and there was no investment in updating them, so the management was in poor condition.
