Cerro Mar Atlantico & Cerro Mar Garden

It was a beautiful resort highly recommend , bit hilly but greaT location

First holiday with an independent company called Kara Travel. Was a bit sceptical as I normally go with the main companies. Wonderfully surprised, First class from start to finish. Amazing hotel. The apartment was superb. Perfect position absolute recommend both the Travel company and hotel *****

Views from our apartment were spectacular, overlooking the old town and the ocean. the unit was extremely clean and well supplied. Bedroom were comfortable and always clean. Kitchen included oven, dishwasher and clothes washer. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is above old town and requires walking downhill to the old town, but uphill on the return to the hotel. Front desk staff were very helpful. They have a shuttle service available to visitors and a very low cost service aligned with the hotel, to get us to restaurants, and if needed grocery shopping. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, but bothe were a little cold in April.

The appt was fantastic with BBC amazing views (509) couldn’t be more pleased , but come Thursday/Friday until Sunday it was overrun with stags and hens who had no respect for anyone , noise ,swearing , shouting at 4am in the morning , so loud not a lovely quiet experience we had previous part of week . We tried going to other parts of complex , Colina with the swim up bar but this was even worse with very drunk people there in big groups , why do Cerro mar have such a lovely complex but allow it to be booked with drunken yobs will not return sadly

Just back home after a weeks stay in the Cerro Mar Garden. I would highly recommend it. Can't fault the place at all apart from the pillows were very uncomfortable, but it wasn't a major concern. Cleaners were in every single day with fresh towels and made the beds. Nice little bar just off the pool area. It's about a 7 or 8 minute walk down in to the old town. No more than €5 back in a taxi. We stayed in room 418 and it was right down the very end and over looked the road. It didn't bother us as it was 3 lads, but may bother some people. So rooms 410-418 face a green or on to the road, so it would be the same with all those numbers on each floor. So I'd advise to ask for a pool facing view.

Just got back from a 25 day stay at the Cerro Mar Garden. It was our first time visiting Portugal. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel. The hotel, the grounds and our room were clean. Our hotel room was spacious. The reception staff we dealt with during our stay were friendly and efficient ( Felipe, Miguel and Maria Teresa) with the exception of an older man who was curt and impatient with us. We were told by friends who had stayed here for the last 3 years that we would only have wi-fi access in the lobby. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that all of the rooms now have Wi-Fi access!! We really enjoyed using the kitchen to make some meals. Our friends had told us to bring some basic kitchen sundries to wash dishes etc.. and we’re glad we did, especially for people staying at the hotel for a longer period of time. There are two nice grocery stores ( Aldi and Lidl) a 10 minute walk away so you can get whatever you want either way. I read a previous comment about the hotel not having non-stick frying pans, the uncomfortable couch in the living room and i agree with that. With regard to the 90 steps going down into the Old town, yes it can be a challenge for someone with mobility issues ( my partner does walk with a cane but we just took our time). The Cerro Mar does offer a convenient shuttle service 4 times a day into the Old town. It would be amazing if the hotel added one or two shuttle services in the evening hours. We are seriously considering returning to Albufeira next year and we will definitely like to come back here.

Great location, nice and very complete apartment in Albufeira , friendly personnel, great breakfast, nice pools, gym and leisure centre with hammam and sauna. Only few hundred meters from the old town. Parking garage and free public parking.
