Stayed for three nights B&B plus evening meal for a relatives 90th birthday celebration over a long weekend. Stayed in a recently refurbished room and the food was excellent and all the staff were happy & courteous. The owner and manager, who has run the hotel for nearly 50 years was much in evidence. This is a beautifully run family hotel.

The only thing I could fault were the veggie sausages which were a frozen abomination - get some decent fresh ones and I would have said our stay was faultless. The staff in particular were lovely and the power shower was fantastic !

A wonderfully peaceful hotel with an exemplary Team; from Paula and Hanna on Reception, to Catalina, Sophia, Kai and Jamie in the Restaurant and Bar, all hardworking, friendly, pleasant and efficient people, who cannot do enough for you. Credit must go to the Chef and Kitchen Team for consistently excellent and tasty food. The Housekeeping Team keep your accommodation and the communal Lounge areas in excellent order and could not be more helpful. We so enjoy staying at The Wentworth and enjoy it more with each return visit. Thank you to all The Wentworth Team - collectively, you all make a difference and the experience as a guest is superb - thank you one and all!

Our first time dinner at the Wentworth was a total success. In the wonderfully airy red room, we had a delicious three course dinner - and every course was great. The Gazpacho soup was a great way to start the meal and my partner's pate was succulent and tasty. But it was the fish dishes for our mains - sea bass and plaice - that really stood out. Both were cooked perfectly and the portion sizes weren't too overwhelming. Unhurried, we enjoy a bottle of dry French rose to accompany the meal and it was a perfect accompaniment to the fish. We split a pudding - amazing blueberry cheesecake and tried the cheese board too - great portions and some really interesting cheeses. If you live nearby or just visiting, this is a great restaurant, with warm and attentive staff and a really interesting menu.

I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting the Wentworth for the past 10 years, it’s always a favourite of ours to drop in for a pot of tea following a Sunday stomp around the marshes and along the beach. The Wentworth is the last bastion of Britains once world famous seaside hotels, it’s like stepping back into a once care free past, with distinctively old school decor, tentative and polite staff, for the often distinguished clientele who are all here doing their best to escape the hustle and bustle of modern day madness. The Wentworth stands out like a vodka martini against the mocktails of other once grand hotels in the town, who have done all they can to ***** themselves of any historical context in their quest to attract a neuvea riche, who aspire to plain white walls, pastel painted furniture, stainless steel and glass, changing the face of all our costal towns. So I say- Bravo to the Wentworth management team for not falling foul to this dire trend that has befallen almost every other hotel and pub on the Suffolk coast, you really are a gem that will forever be a pleasure to those who visit.

Just back from another excellent stay at the Wentworth Michael ( the owner ) and his team/staff do a great job nothing is to much trouble. Our only thing we would say is, you changed the toiletries from the lovely individual sachets of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner too a hair and body shampoo all in one large bottle which surely is not the same thing. We were disappointed with he toasted sandwich in the bar it was very dry on the outside better to butter the outside before toasting. We did have a very nice stay and will return again, hope this was helpful .

Were there with friends in Aldeburgh to celebrate anniversaries and a birthday and selected this location given the places to visit in and around the town. I will just comment from my wife's and mine thoughts and have to say, overall they are positive. Our room, though smaller than we had hoped, offered all we needed including a sea view but there was one drawback in that the shower occasionally changed to cold so a bit of a shock as you can imagine. Public areas and bar were very pleasant as were the staff while the breakfasts were excellent. A couple of not so good comments however is that we feel the room price is higher that it should be while the evening meal we had there one night - reviewed separately - was not great. However, if we revisited the town, we would consider it again

I loved this hotel service great food great lovely atmosphere. Will not be staying there anymore as they consider dogs more important than people. Since the pandemic more and more establishments make a virtue of allowing dogs They are making it more and more difficult for people who do not like dogs or have allergies to go anywhere.
