"No one on reception or bar on arrival. Slow service need more staff. Rooms ok but need some tlc, mirror in wrong place, no plug sockets near bed. Poor drinks tray in room. Breakfast is acceptable but not great."

"Really enjoyed our two night stay here. We had a sea facing room which was bright with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, great choice and well presented. We also enjoyed reading in the lounge in the afternoon and a pre dinner drink in the bar. Friendly and welcoming staff - we will return!"

"We spent a night at The Brudenell after having it recommended to us. The position is fantastic, but we were the youngest people there by far - we're in our 50s and 60s - it does feel a little like an old peoples home. I had booked a double seaview room, but it was absolutely nothing like the range of photos shown online. It was so tiny , you could hardly get round the bed. Certainly not worth the £284 we had paid for it and so disappointing. I went to query the room with the girl on reception and she spoke to her manager. We were very luckily upgraded to a larger room, which was much better. I honestly don't think I would have stayed if we had not had the upgrade. I just don't know how they can justify the price for the room we were given and the whole hotel feels quite dated and tired. All of the staff were very friendly though. We loved Aldeburgh, and will return, but we wouldn't stay at The Brudenell again."
