I had a fantastic ‘Business Room with sea view’. The view was spectacular and I feel that it was worth every penny. The breakfast was brilliant breakfast too and then there’s the setting of the gorgeous town of Alesund. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very nice and quickly resolved a very odd but funny encounter in the middle of the night where someone come into our room very drunk and naked. We were given 2 free nights at another Thon hotel which was perfect as we were going to Fosnavag so stayed in the Thon hotel there. The food is so good! We will definitely be back😊

Hotel Thon is a great place to stay. The staff is exceptional, breakfast is very good and room is spacious and comfortable. Great views right by the hotel and the rest of Ålesund is easily accessible on foot.

Flott hotel med gode senger og fantastisk god frokost. Ingen ting manglet her. Rene, moderne rom. Stort pluss for plass til oppbevaring av toalettsaker på badet.

Das Haus präsentiert sich modern (2021) mit guter Farbgebung. Schon in der Réception fällt positiv auf, dass den Gästen Regenschirme zur Verfügung gestellt werden, was bei Atlantikwetter sehr hilfreich werden kann. Generell luden Lobby und Bar zum Aufenthalt auf. Nur: Gibt es das tatsächlich noch, eine Bar ohne Aperol Spritz-Angebot? Und die Bezahlprobleme müssen beseitigt werden! Die Kartenzahlung hat in den meisten Fällen nicht geklappt trotz mehrfacher Versuche. Gleichzeitig war man nicht in der Lage, bei Barzahlung ein Herausgeld zu geben. Soll das eine Bereicherungsmasche für das Hotel sein? Unser Gruppen-Nachtessen war sehr fein, nur lagen leider beim Salat geradezu unanständige kleine Mini-Portiönchen vor. unüblicherweise waren die Brötchen vorgeschnitten. Das Angebot beim Frühstück war sehr vielfältig, da kann jeder etwas finden. Allerdings musste man Teetrinker sein, denn der ‘Kaffee’ war sehr, sehr dünn.
