"I had terry luck with their locks. First day I cannot lock my door. It just doesn’t work. I called them and they said it’s 11pm so there’s nothing they can do. Then I ask to switch room. There’s no way I can go shower if I cannot lock my room at all. However, on the next day 8am I went to use toilet and I’m not able to come out. I called them and no one picked up. I was locked in 10 minutes inside, I try to yell, clap etc no one come to me. At the end I ask Gemini and he suggested I turned both the handle and the knob and that’s how I got out. Thank god I brought my phone into the toilet with me"

"Complete disaster! Apart from the poor signage, this was rude behavior from the reception staff! I have never had experienced anything like that! And I found it to be harassing behavior! I have been travelling to Norway for more than 20 years and have always had good experiences! Unfortunately there is ONE exception - and that is the rude staff at the reception of this campsite! You never forget something like that! One star is to much! Never again! "

"The hotel is great, the service is great, and the breakfast is rich. It is by the sea, the scenery is beautiful, and we happened to see two huge cruise ships docked next to the hotel in the morning. The sea water is clear and deep, and it looks black from a distance, but it is actually too deep. The shallow water next to the hotel is azure blue, and jellyfish can be seen everywhere. However, the room rate is very expensive in summer. Alesund is a small city, a tourist city, and cruise ships bring batches of guests. There are several large stores where tax refunds can be made."

"Hotel is located in an excellent location, close to the tourist information center, the Mount Askla and the ferry terminals. The airport bus from the airport stop directly in front of the hotel, so will be very convenient for travelers arriving /departing by air. There are also many restaurants and a small shopping mall nearby. Was assigned a room facing west, so could have a great view of the sunset from the room."

"Our cabin was facing the waterfront which was lovely. It was advertised for 3, but I think it would be difficult for two adults to sleep next to each other in the bed, which was also very creaky. There are only 8 cubicles which contain shower and the toilet, so we had to queue both in the evening and in the morning and inside all was very wet and therefore didn't feel clean. The site is quite a way out of town, so we drove back to Alesund. The reception only sells crisps and ice cream but apparently there is a supermarket nearby."
