The hotel has a great location: next to the cable cars and close to all attractions in the city. The room and breakfast are quite basic but fulfill what I needed.

Location good depends on what you are looking for. Tobe hill, local cuisine are within 50 meters Generally carpet appeared quite new toilet is well kept. But if one has been to Hong Kong then there will be no complaints on room size when compared against the room rate. I will stay again. Tq

Good location, 3 min to KokTobe cable car station and 10 min walk to Abay metro station. The hotel is retro style and furnitures need some update. The service staffs are not responsive when you greeted them.

Excellent booking and living experience! It can use the bathtub to relax my body. Even though the assistant do not speak English, they always keep clam and be willing to help me, on one side for enjoying my breakfast , the other for my needing a taxi to train station. Finally, Almaty is a picturesque and hospitality city for traveling. Thanks 😊

Older style place but very nice and in a great location near the hills and fresh mountain air! The people didn't speak English but they had all the features written out on a sheet in English that you should ask for as it gives lots of great tips. The b'fast was fine and this was a nice hotel and part of Almaty to spend a night in transit!

The location is very good, just near the cable car station. It is very convenient to the mountains, museums and Independence Square. There is a sunna room, but it is not open yet. There is a swimming pool and fitness room, and there are also teller machines, but if you want to exchange foreign currency, you can only Go to the Kazakh Hotel opposite. The employees are not very proactive and enthusiastic. They only ask and answer questions when necessary. One of the young male employees has a very poker face. Even if he said thank you after helping to adjust the TV, he was expressionless and looked very AI-like.

I strongly suspect that the middle-aged woman at the front desk gave poor rooms to foreigners. The service attitude was extremely poor and impatient. They didn't even tell me the breakfast time. The first room on the second floor was right next to the construction site. Construction was still going on at 7pm and the noise was extremely loud. I went to the front desk and asked to change rooms. No staff spoke English. They could only use translation software to communicate and were told that there were no rooms to change. I called Ctrip to request a room change or cancel the reservation. While waiting for Ctrip's reply, the hotel suddenly said that a guest had canceled and another room was available. The new room we were given was right next to the road, but it was much better than the first one. At night, I discovered that a bed board had collapsed, which was scary. I would like to remind Chinese people to dare to protect their rights when they go out and not to suffer the consequences of being dumb.

The hotel is extremely well located. The most pleasant impression of the hotel is the very responsive staff, trying to do everything possible. Initially, I was placed in a room on the second floor, where there was no table. But the next day, at my request, they moved me to another room where there was a table. He was in the photographs and I really needed him for work. Breakfasts are bad, meager and everything is cold, but you can heat up food in the microwave. The most unpleasant experience of the hotel is the audibility and noise from the neighbors. Apparently, the hotel is often used "for one night", there is even a corresponding tariff for this. On weekends it was simply impossible to sleep without earplugs. The hotel is also in dire need of renovation, as everything is quite old. But at the same time, the hotel is quite clean, thank you for that.

We really liked the breakfast and the panoramic view of the mountains, everything was clean and fresh. 10/10

It was nice to have a Korean restaurant, Starbucks, and Burger King nearby, and there was a neat supermarket not far away, and it was especially nice to have a cable car with a view of Almaty.
